What is MSI?

• MSI is a script. Yours and mine and everybody's. MSI is a community script. It is everyone's devotion, skill and time that makes MSI what it is. MSI is as big as you want it to be. MSI is as big as we make it.

MSI's aim is to have a do-it-all-everywhere script. Does this sound ambitious? It sure as hell is. It would be the ultimate script, untraceable, impossible to detect and you could just run it, return a few years later and have a char at all 99 levels. Now doesn't that sound amazing?


• MSI was originally opened to SRL Members + only, but to increase usage, we decided that it would be better to let everyone get a taste of what MSI has to offer. Don't be afraid to browse the MSI forums, but if you'd rather just use the awesome scripts we have, then that's fine too, just remember to give any feedback so we can continue to improve what we have to offer. :)

:) It's not a fast process so it could be a bit.

Some bugs have been fixed in the latest version. :)

- Log saving was still buggy
- You may have gotten a DTM error after banking one load, it's now been fixed

You have to also make sure that you have Booleans[P_BANK] set to false.

OH, maybe it doesn't find you hatchet. The shapes changed in the last RS updated. Have you updated MSI since yesterday? I updated all the DTMs then.

E: I just updated it so it won't try to open the bank if you're power skilling. :)

Great flawless script :) Manually stopped because I couldn't use the computer anymore. I't finds the trees and drops the logs quite fast without any problems. I'll post better proggies when I get them :)

I didn't clearly understand - the script can do mining and woodcutting on the same account? Like walk to the bank after # number of loads, get a pic or an axe and do the other skill? Or did you mean that it does Woodcutting for example on one account, then mining on the other?

That's exactly what it's going to be able to do (your first point). Of course, certain skill combinations will be restricted due to the player's location, but eventually it would be ideal to be able to teleport to another location and perform a different skill, but that's miles away. :rolleyes:

Don't know the reason for inactivity but the script did last long. I setup MSI so that it would run overnight but will take many breaks. That why there isn't much experience or logs cut…really amazing script, will try to get a 24 hr porggy :p

You should use Simba not Scar 3.21 :) Here is a tutorial on how to download it and how to use the auto SRL installer/updater ;)

Have you setup SRL properly? More specifically, moved your plugins?

Also, could you post the line? It may be that one of us committed something that's Simba-only.

•I would make a path going to and from the yews(I haven't the slightest idea how i would do that in color with the MSI setup)
•The script would walk the path, then automatically begin chopping the tree?
•When the inventory is full, it would walk the path back.
•The script would repeat the path

The users setup might look like this:

Hi again guys, this time I've read the WHOLE post a few times but I still don't get why i allways get after like 24 min or so.. There was a recent change in SRL that made it not fully compatible with scar. I'd suggest you use Simba. I'll add you to the Simba forums so you can easily figure out how to download it.

@nickrules:
Right now what you see is an entire script.
RunMe.scar is just the end bit of it;

MSI uses a lot of logic and is coded modularly, so it is possible to (easily) add things to it, however it might be a bit of a big challenge to go through on your own.

There is more information on MSI development in SRL Members, I will be making those forums publicly available so you can have a deeper look, learn from and might try writting a few modules yourselves :)

Yes, you have that right. We've designed the include to make it extremely easy to add scripts. In this case (I'm not exactly sure where the Yew trees are) you could use the same walk points that are already used to get to the normal trees plus one or two to get to the yew trees. So, all you'd really have to do it make a couple points to and from the trees (that extend the normal tree path). The script will already chop the trees until a full inventory.

Once the development forums are made public, your idea can be developed if you want it to be. :)

Not all random events are solvable right now. If it's not, the script will logout. Or, if the script attempts to solve them, and fails, then it will log out.

How can you run it for so long time without any events?
I can just run it for like 2,30H before i get events and it logs out ==(


EDIT: Is it possible to cut yew and bank or is it just normal trees as u said in the first post? :)

It really depends on the account. A fresh account from tut island(or whatever it's now) or a long time not used account gets less random while an account that failed randoms get more(there are other reasons but I'm not an expert in this). Play mini-games or do quest and hope. Hope that you won't get too much random.
Although 2-3 hous without randoms is not bad. It's because SRL is not at it's top at solving randoms.

If there was a Yew tree in the middle of the normal trees, you could cut it, but there's really not a yew tree around, so right now no, you can't bank yews.

Im not sure which one to put it in but. I noticed in the Globals.simba that the TREE_MAGIC and ROCK_CLAY have the same const number are they supposed to be that way?

I'll fix the links, thanks, and they're not supposed to be the same number. Thanks for pointing that out. It's not such a huge deal as it most likely won't affect anything, but it definitely needs to be changed, thanks.

I actually just noticed this as TREE_MAGIC comes up on the form for some mining scripts :p

I'm going to be committing a few tweaks once I'm finished so I'll fix this then.

I'm not entirely sure what this means, seeing how the MSI script ends at line 299. O.o *confused*

Try deleting your Player.txt file in your MSI folder. You'll have to reenter the player information in the form, but it may work.

All scripts that don't withdraw items from the bank. Depositing should work just fine (unless you're experiencing the small items in your inventory bug).

I literally just got home from across the country. I've been away for a few days. We need to figure out a proper solution. Having two DTMs for each item is a pain. If it's necessary then okay, but I'd like to see if there's another solution.

I think a new thread would be a good place to discuss this if someone wants to make it in the MSI Bugs or Suggestions forums.

You have to download SPS. Refer to this thread to help you out. For now you have to manually download it, but we plan to add it to the MSI updater in the near future.

Yeah it's a bug with SPS. Keep restarting Simba until it works. (Run it as Administrator)

Go to Simba/Includes/MSI/ and open RunMe.simba, then hit run in Simba (the green player button).

Have you tried restarting Simba? It seems you're trying to run an include file rather than the actual script file.

Make sure you've download SRL. Manually update if you have to.

I've already downloaded srl and I clicked srl update and its still doing that

Click the green arrow in Simba after opening RunMe and it should work.

That's a different error. That means you need SPS. Read the how to guide on how to download and install SPS.

Could you be more specific? Does it logout and stop? Does Simba & SMART close? If you can, can you post some debug test please?

I don't really know what to say to that… sorry for your loss? You can look through MSI's code, it's all open source. Nothing gets added to MSI without going through me and I can assure you there is nothing that steals passwords.

Unless you downloaded MSI from another site, it wasn't MSI.

Some fonts were changed, so nothing will work until that is updated. Definitely not a long term problem.

There's been an update in both MSI and SPS, but SPS got the update to the built-in-updater couple hours later. It should now work.

Did you try removing simba and reinstalling from scratch?

I think you have to give it time to load the includes.
I usually get:

usually it pops the msi screen up where you can put what you want… i don't think it needs to load because I let it sit there for along time. and nothing happens.

This is a common problem.

If you go to this form there are a lot of bugs explained and how to solve this.

SOLUTION

First try this: Just update SPS (in Simba) and restart Simba.

If this is not working; do this:

They are independent of MSI.

1) Go to the first post in the threads of the scripts and there's usually an attached file beneath the first post.
2) Download this attachment.
3) Then, open SIMBA and press file > open > select the script you've downloaded…
4) Fill in the declare player's procedure and press the green arrow (play).

upon the first account becoming lost, or receiving an unsolvable random, the first account will log out, and the second will log in and continue botting. In order to bot on 2 accounts at the same time, yes, you must open 2 clients.


Also Coh3n, I noticed you said your able to set priority for ores. Can you describe how to do this? During the ore selection screen I see the priority option, but I don't understand how I set this priority for each individual ore, as clicking on each one the number put in the box remains the same. I appreciate the assistance.

If you hover over the "Priority" box there's a hint. ;) That's not really as clear in the form, though. So basically for mining, if you have copper, iron, and coal selected in the form, you'd set up priority like this:

10, 10000, 1000000

10 is for copper, 10000 is for iron, and 1000000 is for coal. That means that most of the time it will look for coal first, then iron, then copper. I use a similar setup for coal, addy and mith for LSW Miner.

You can't run Simba on a Mac, unless you have Windows installed in the Virtual Box. Make sure you have the latest Java, and please post what line 86 is and which file is opened.

What does it say when the script stops working after 5 minutes. Provide more info. What does it do? Say? My suggestion is to make sure you have everything set up correctly and updated because it could be that your Simba is not up to date. Provide more info so more assistance can be given.

Everything is set up correctly, I stop it from running because it starts clicking around on random stuff instead of chopping trees or fishing

I have had this problem before. Idk how I fixed it but I did. My suggestion would be to make sure you fill in everything correctly. If you are using the same script it should not be doing this but if you are running to different scripts, Im certain that you need a second account on the first panel of MSI because you cant run two scripts on the same account at the same time. I dont know if this is correct and you may want to get more info from a more experienced member that knows for certain what the answer to your problem is. I would suggest trying this and letting me know and the forum know if it continues. If you must, file a bug report also under MSI bugs (sorry too lazy to get link but its not hard to find).

Open up your Simba->Includes>MSI and delete your Players file. That will take care of your issue.

Also, if you would have searched for the "Error: Out Of Range at line 2564" you would have found your answer.

I'm having a problem since the last update (if I remember correctly there was one 12hours ago or so). I'm using the MSI varrock west miner, and it scans for ore, locks on it, then clicks it and starts tracking it, but it doesn't detect when the ore is mined, and waits there for a long time until it rescans and does it over again.
Same thing banking, it will just wait there after it opens the bank tab.

Since I'm not that great at coding I don't know how much i am actually asking of you but if you could do this and send me a PM so that I know when this is fixed that would be greatly appreciated. The walking in Varrock West Miner is a bit bugged too, sometimes it just walks away, I ended up in ice mountain one time and got killed. LOL

The walking away thing only happened once but i really just want the script to find stuff in my belt

the script is programmed to first look in your inventory for the tool, then check if its equiped, then if it isn't it checks in your bank for the needed tool, i just want it to check my belt after it checks if it is equipped.

Tool belt support has not been added yet, will be in the future.

Wasn't sure where to post this noob problem and tried searching how to fix but no luck :p.

Been making my own little simple scripts for around two months and loved msi because it helped out my rc a bit :p.
Went to use fishing and it couldnt locate some items or find the correct locations(allinonefisher–>Fishing guild) so I started messing around with it a bit for personal use. I fixed the harpoon problem but messed up the walking quite a bit >_>;

How would I go about resetting my MSI script to default. Easiest way to completely reinstall simba o.O?

I tried that earlier, I had got "No MSI update available." and checked script and is still messed up from me :S

Maybe you simply don't have the dungeoneering level, so not, it's not really conspicuous.

Can anyone tell me how to set up a script in MSI withoujt using the form? i know how to add my player and set the variables, i just dont know how to add a script for it to use. I'm guessing you add it in here:

Please dont double post. Use the edit button. To solve your problem you may have to use the force update option in order to fully update it. Do this aafter deleting everything from your SRL file in order to get the best result. If this does not work then you are using a script that has not been converted to SRL5. In that case you will need to recode it (not that difficult) so it is compatible or ask someone via pm or the scripts thread to convert it for you. GL let us know how it turns out!

Your wrong… For MSI that is. You just have to change this line:

to this:

and it'll work!

This is fixed in the newest version of MSI.

Does it support the toolbelt?

I'm currently using the crafting guild miner and it works but only for about 20 minutes tops. It'll say failure to locate player or failure to find bank in falador. When it does work it works like a charm going back and forth but after about 20 minutes it stops and doesn't log back in and stops the script. I've made sure the the options in the pop up menu were correct so what could be the problem?

Also sometimes i after i click run in the pop up menu to start the script i'll get an error saying "Bitmap14" or "bitmap16" Can't remember exactly. Anyone know the cuase?

I'm having a problem using this…. I'm trying this first, so I'm not sure if it's MSI or Simba itself… When I start up the scripts it seems to randomly click, not preform the script. I edited my graphics like instructed, it doesn't work. D:

I have everything updated. plugins, extensions, OBJDTM, SRL, SPS, MSI. I can't use the vial fillers, seems to have a problem fishing, last time i fished. Tried cutting Magics today and walked down and just sat there… I have no idea what the problem is, I really want the Vial fillers to work.

Nice, this is similar to the old EpicBot. The Air Rune runner logs out after an hour or so shortly after hovering over the essence, and the seers village yewcutter will randomly just give up lol. But so far those are the only two scripts with anything that i've noticed.

SPS is in the testing phases of SPS1.5 I believe. They're getting reading to release SPS2.0.

I'm using MSI fishing at the fishing guild, it may be a bug, i don't know..

But after 2-4 hours it suddenlty stop and the log says this:

As you can see the log says "ran out of fishing bait" I'm not even using fishing bait i'm catching sharks with harpoon.

How do i fix this?

I searched for other threads but i didn't find anything. + this is my first post so i don't know where to post this..

as the idea of MSI is great this is very buggey hardly ever updated. what i would do if i was you look at the tutorial sections and learn how to work this. finally i combined parts of other scripts to the MSI so i have them working with less bugs. sadly i currently have only 1 alcher and 1 smither and narcles fighter integrated into it. seriously check out the tutorial section its way to easy to combine and perfect scripts.

You have to open multiple Simba's to run more than 1 character at a time. Each instance of Simba can only hold 1 SMART because of the inability to multi-thread in Simba.(I believe that is why)

Before i go to run the script, under "Objects" there is no fountain listed for the vial filler.. i tick a box with no name next to it but then it won't use the vial on the fountain.

This just happened.. it was working, then not. i even installed Simba again and it's not listed. What's the problem??

all it does now is log in and then the script stops and i get access violation.

Bot ran fine for 10 days then after i updated srl and msi now he will not note at stiles. If i maually note him he will go fish another inventory then come back to stiles but wont note.

Please can you encrypt the Player.txt file. I don't feel safe using MSI without it being encrypted, as a virus could easily target this file (in the most common install location, which is C:\Simba).

I just don't like the fact that if I open the file my username, password and PIN are all displayed in plain text.


Oh, and also password/pin on MSI tab 1. I know for a fact that RATs can screencap :\

I know I can choose not to save it, but it does take a while to set up..

There are tons of scripts in MSI, and there are plenty of independent smithing scripts too.

Are people still experiencing walking issues?

Yes. Whenever I have a walking script it goes into a deathwalk function hing and logs out.

Hate to say this but MSI isn't really working properly you need to write your own scripts, if you want to get anywhere in this community. I dont do Fishing so i can't really say if there's a work around for that particular problem. First thing you should have done is research it. Google is your best friend at this point.

I tried to run MSI to do cooking and it kept saying there was a msv something or other .dll missing and to try and reinstall the program to get it back, tried reinstalling it and stuff and still getting same issue…..maybe someone could help me fix this or something or am i doing something wrong??? please help!

MSI has been outdated for a while now. Try writing your own scripts or get some from the public repository. :P
