[OUTDATED]SRL Juniors Working Scripts
Cigue
2010-01-16 16:19:57
This is a library of all working Junior scripts :) If I forgot one, or if one stops working be sure to PM me or to leave a message in this thread. I haven't personally tested all the scripts in here, so if it doesn't works just PM me and I'll remove it from the list.
Remember to post proggies and comments in their respective threads, maybe rep the author if you like a script!
When you release a script, be sure to tell me so I can update the list!

Good job!
I want to request a [beta] or [not-too-stable-but-working-is-being-done-on-it] or something similar to those tags for my smelter as several bugs were reported. And I am working on it when I got time.
EDIT: Make it a bit shinier with pictures and everything(I can't make good looking threads so don't trust me) then get it stickified!

Nice job, I made one of these once. But now that scripts are organized by last post and stuff, often times its the updated scripts on top, and older outdated scripts on bottom, also most people [competent :p] can just read the first/last few posts of a thread to figure it out. Anyways, still a good job, making it simpler for people!
Only suggestion is to make your post more appealing to the eyes. Currently it looks messy and mushed together to me.

The idea of a library came to me because I have two simple but useful scripts that won't need to be updated for a loooong time :) Here, the 100+ posts threads of the devs and members are listed equally with threads by scripters just learning the basics. Plus, seeing as there are three smelters (which I didn't know before), someone could grab all three and pick the best procedures from the lot, for personal use :)
On another note… I can't find the farming and agility icons >.<

Sorry for spamming, but that is hilarious :D!

What the fuck is up with your attitude? You are really pissing me off.
It is free to use these scripts, the people that make them do not have to they do because they want to.
The members here are taking their own time to maintain these scripts.
If you can't find a script that doesn't meet your expectations or doesn't do what you want it to, then by all means, make it yourself and stop bitching.
Oh and probably 90% of those 49,443 members are inactive..
jimthesoundman
2010-01-27 12:24:35
You misunderstand my point. The point is that the people who do the hard work are being taken advantage of by the leechers. If I was the webmaster I would make people contribute something before they are able to become Jr. Members. That would insure a constant inflow of new scripts (bad though they may be) which might inspire other people to take that raw material and shape it into a finely crafted script. I myself have several clunky raw scripts that need sharpening, but I don't have the skills necessary to hone them to a razor sharp edge.
So, hopefully you see my point.
And anyway, even if 90% of 49443 members are inactive, that means that there should be 494 active members, which means there should be about 250 working scripts, wouldn't you think?
Maybe collaboration is the answer. Teams of people who are set a task, like building a good agility script and they work together and feed off of each others ideas.
Just my two cents…
JIM
It shows the active members in the main page and the real number is a slight number less than that.
I'm sorry if I offended you..
I just didn't like the way you worded that phrase.
Post the scripts, get feedback from other members, that is one way you can improve.

Quality scripts take a long time to write, and a lot of work to maintain and tweak. 28 working scripts is ALOT, if you've ever been apart of any SCAR script based community other than this than you would know that. We had an archive of 900+ scripts at scar-scripts.com (which is now dead because of numerous DDoS, getting flagged by google) and maybe 1-5% were deemed 'working'… this site probably has somwhere between 1 and 2 thousand scripts that have been posted 'all time' if you include the ones that don't currently work. "49443" members? are you kidding me? 48.5k of them haven't even logged in in the past year, the other 1k, half don't even know the basics of scripting, the other half is divided between barly active…. if you want a REAL statistic look at the users logged in in the past 24 hours. And besides… quantity of scripts means nothing compared to functionality and potential. I only have one script that is entirely by me (not POMSEM or POMSTR) and after the next update it will be capable of doing 16 different things instead of the current 3 runes… which is still counted as 1 script on your "working" scripts quantity list. I mean there's also powerskills, multiskillers ect… and MSI hasn't even been released yet. There could be more scripts, that I agree with, but saying 28 working scripts is "sad" is simply untrue.

Can I also point out, these 28 scripts, are well done, and as such, there shouldn't be another made, I mean, who is going to create a willow cutter banker, when Coh3n has made such a good one for draynor… its just not neccesary…Another fighter, maybe done, because specialist fighters…I mean a specialist cow killer, with cow hide pickup capability and banking, would be very good, and the other scripts can't do it, some skills have limited scripting capabilities, such as firemaking, how many scripts can there be…honestly…. but then again fighting…almost limitless options…
also remeber SRL JUNIOR MEMBERS…
There is free for all below us, which has the bulk of the scripts, the powerminers, powerfishers, powercutters etc…and the SRL Members (senior) which contains all the best scripts…
28 good quality maintained scripts, seems to me to be good, considering there are also so many lower level scripts, and some higher level scripts…
AND I AM GETTING SICK OF THIS BLEEPING SPACE KEY, START WORKING YOU BLEEPING BLEEPHOLE! sorry, space key has to really be pressed HARD! getting annoying with this long winded post…so ill stop now!

Meh, i don't think this gets "sticky" :p, because people can always be inactive, for example the links that 'Sex' made, even if he goes inactive, the links always should work(Only if the forum changes in some way), so if you go inactive, nobody will be able to update this thread, so yeah… I hope you got it :p, but still i would like to see this sticked.

You have probably forgot to fill in the "DeclarePlayers" part of the script. Just write your RS nickname/password in the DeclarePlayers procedure, it's usually within the first 100 lines of the script.
