The Mayor’s Hardcore Ironman Progress Thread
Yesterday I had the urge to start a Hardcore ironman account. For those of you that don’t know, you can choose to make an ironman account during the account creation process. An ironman account cannot use the GE or trade items with other players; you must gather all the resources necessary to train skills yourself. If you’re a hardcore ironman and you die in-game (even due to lag etc.) your account becomes permanently locked. I thought it would be quite fun to see how far I can get.
I plan to bot this account 100%. First I’ll start with combat skills to reduce my chances of dying from random NPC attacks, and to unlock high alchemy (probably the main source of income). Then I will train some of the other f2p skills (mining, woodcutting, fishing, cooking). I think that ironman accounts can buy bonds on the GE although it will be tough to get 6.5m without selling goods on the GE.
I think it will be quite fun to update my progress but I probably won't be updating this daily as I've got a lot on at the moment.
Progress after day 1 (21st October 2014)
[INDENT]100% botting GAO. I got a free chargebow + bronze sword from Burthorpe shop and killed a goblin for an air staff. I'm going to get 40 all combat stats before moving on (so I can wear rune and stuff). I also managed to get over 1k herbs so far which will come in handy later for herblore.

So I left GAO on overnight and it completed the levels I had set (40 all stats).

Gonna hit-up Varrock east mine and bank some tin and copper for the next few days.
E: WTF rune equipment is now level 50 lel. I could swear it used to be 40 defense to wear rune.
Update at the end of day 2: I've been mining all day (yes I'm botting 24 hours a day). I got my ironman from 1 -> 42 mining so far. I'm going to leave it overnight, and I should be close to 50 mining tomorrow morning. I still have a bronze pick axe :(

I left the the miner running overnight. I hit 50 mining. I'm going to switch over to Copper ore only so I can get equal amount for bronze bars.

Progress after day 4 (24th October 2014)
After mining copper overnight, I had equal amounts of each ore. I then used @BMWxi;'s yet-to-be-released lumbridge smelter to make just over 5k bronze bars. I also used 66 of the bars to make bronze arrow heads, which I sold to the General Store so I could buy an Addy pickaxe from the Dwarf. I’m gonna try and smith these bars into 80k bronze arrowheads with Ashas VWB smither.

I smithed all of my bars into 85k arrow heads with @Ashaman88;'s VWB smither. Then I mined some more ore overnight. Then I whipped up a quick cray fish script to bank crayfish at Taverey bank (script is released here). I plan to cook these later, but I think I'll do a bit of woodcutting first ;)

Progress after day 6 (26th October 2014)
I ended up doing some dungs to get level 15 so I could enter the resource dungeon to bot coal. I ended up getting 51 smithing to make a mith hatchet before beginning woodcutting (as the only way to get better than steel axe is to make it yourself). I then used @3Garrett3;'s evergreen chopper to get some woodcutting levels. I was using footballjds Al Khared cooker but ended up writing my own (released here) as his is a bit outdated.

So this is the end of the first week. Hit a total level 558. I botted GAO overnight and most of today and gained another 20 levels (10 mage + 10 range). I also used 3Garrett3's woodcutter to bank another 1.7k logs ;) I think I'll start on the old runecrafting next.

So 3 months I am back in action. My old Ironman got rekt while the Runespan using an outdated script so I had to start again. I ended up just making my own AIO Runespan script. (Still need to pick colours for all the monsters but first island is done). I done exactly the same as before (GAO, Miner, Garretts chopper etc.):

I paid Silentcore 6m to get me 50 dung, which he did very quickly (as always). I fixed up Wooty's CowToBootsCoverter (his 250 line competition script) which kills cows in Taverley, collects the hides, tans the hides, and optionally crafts hard leather boots (which alch for 600 each). I ran this for a while to get some leather.
After collecting a ton of iron with my VEB miner, I made a resource dungeon script to mine coal:

I have a clay miner and softener in my ScriptFolder which I will probably use to get a bunch of soft clay. I also have a Clay crafting script that works from VEB, so I will make some smelting urns. I will probably turn the steel bars (I'm about to make) into cannon balls and use the urns for some mad XP (I will mod Ians script to do it for me ;) ). Oh, and I also used akarigar's AIO runescape script to fish + cook + fm ;)

Update (4th February 2015)
I'm botting 24/7 evrday as I'm Hardcore. I've gained about 150 levels since my last update. Things I've done:
- Botted 15k coal with my resource dung miner
- Made 7.5k steel bars with BMWxi's Lumbridge smelter
- Smithed all the steel bars into 110k steel arrow heads (worth 10gp each in general store ~1.1m gp) using my VWB smither
- Botted 1 -> 15 hunter with Jayden's crimson hunting script
- Botted 15 -> 30 hunter with Ross's butterfly script (IDK why it's in outdated)
- Botted 30 -> 61 hunter with my swamp lizard banker
- Cut another 10k logs with Garrett's Evergreen chopper
- Done a couple of quests but I nearly died because I am allergic to legit.
- Botted 5 -> 30 theiving with my vegetable stall theiver
- Currently doing safecracking with Ancrath's script
I'm nearly at 1000 total levels where I can buy an extra life for 100k :D
Update (5th February 2015)
I managed to get over 1000 total levels so I bought the Divine Coin for 100k (I sold 500 Hard leather boots for 150k). I ran GAO again overnight and got just over 1k gold charms so I've got 2.3k charms now. I got my crafting up with the hard leather boots so I could make a Ring of life which is probably the #1 item to have as a Hardcore Ironman.
I also made a 20 liner to 1) make boots from hard leather, and 2) make shafts from logs, I just change the preset:

Update (10th February 2015)
I've gained another 200 levels since the last update. I used KeepBotting's karamja fisher to get a few fishing levels, and then my alKhared cooker to cook my crayfish (still haven't cooked the lobbys).
