Ok so this is a very embarrassing story.

I was looking at new scripts when I found this:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93707
Its an AIO fighter. Im working on an AIO fighter too so I thought I would check it out. Then I found my debug function…then the whole monster detection part… ripped off my moss giant script. There were no comments above the functions about credits or anything. Also nothing on the release post….

Then I checked out the guy, and found out he was the same guy who posted a fix for my script. I didnt really care that, so that was okey.

But then I found his another script!!:
http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=93272
At that time I was like wtf, that script is a total modified version of mine. The monster finding part was different…but I even found my own comments there! And for the credits:
Theres a hidden line in the code:
//creds to Ashaman88 and others for inspiration and code snippets
And on the release post:
EDIT: Wherever I mention ashaman, I actually mean shatterhand! Don't know how i got them mixed up…

This is just lame, mixing up people then not even correcting it.

After these I found a one line credits in his first script too:
//large credits to Shatterhand for monster finding + script structure.

Well I found his old post on my topic too…:
http://villavu.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1124710&postcount=665
This means I gave him right to use some of my ideas…

But im sure its not how it should work….

If you feel like you've been plagiarized, report the post too, for reviewing (don't forget to state that you are reporting for plagiarism). I think, personally, that a key component to not plagiarizing is citing sources / crediting appropriately.

Ask him to fix his scripts with proper credits, you should have a say on how the code gets credited.

I guess I'll send him a PM.

Just ask him to credit or remove the parts you want credited or removed. If he doesn't do it then report the PM or his posts :)
