So Random Events are gone huh/Tell me about EoC?

So since EoC random events have been removed from the game, yeah?!
This means SRL can be even more awesome, as some of the harder randoms were one of main forces that kept us back.
This means more stable scripts and longer progress reports!
Also skilling wise what has EoC changed?
I might log in and mine/WC/fish a bit to see what's up, but does someone mind explain briefly what's different now?
I've heard some skills are faster/easier/more efficient now?
Yeah a stable script with SixHourFix can theoretically run indefinitely, so for some (or most) scripts we can be just as stable/fast compared to injection (or even better than it if it's coded well).
The main change regarding skilling is that you can drop most items (with only 'use' and 'drop' option) extremely fast by just binding it to your action key and hold the key down for a few sec (2-3 sec or something?). So powerleveling will be much faster, although not too much for scripts that already utilize mousekey dropping / m1d1 / low alch etc previously.
But if you are banking then there won't be much improvement except there's a member ability that let you teleport 10 squares ahead instantly (has a cooldown though).
Combat wise several things seem to be unbalanced (either too easy or too hard) so there will be some methods that can get you extremely fast xp/charm. (i heard that Dagganoth at Waterbirth gets you 300 charms/hr).

That's pretty awesome. How's your script coming along?
Oh something Riwu didn't mention is that there is a new skilling interface that pops up for cooking, herb and probably smithing.

Oh man I'll have to check out this key binding and dropping method!
Care to find me a YT video showing this?
Thanks for the info.

I guess all not collecting skills has the same interface now.

Were random events really removed? If so.. Why exactly :/

Because all of the hardcore RS players were annoyed because of the XP waste that came with them.

Dumb move on Jagex's part randoms were bots' biggest problem.
They will have less xp/hr competing with all the bots now…

I agree. They should give randoms to people that are suspected as botters.

That's a great idea if you're a mod. So I assume you are going to post it on their forums as a minor way to hinder suspected botters?

I'm so glad randoms have gone. While there is the argument that you get less xp from all the bots, I find that there are a lot of times when there are only two or 3 people in a usually packed bottling spot. We can finally spend less time trying to solve the randoms and put more time into making really great scripts.

From my experience, with binding actions to the custom bar, XP rates are faster. I bound "superheat" to the custom bar and did gold ores with Family Crest gauntlets for a while. I was able to use a mouse recorder [yes not safe] because the lack of random events. The XP rates rose from 110k smith and 100k magic xp/hr to 135k smith and 120k magic xp/hr. This got me to 97 smith and mage in just a few days.
Assuming it's used for other skills, you can add the raw materials to the custom bar as a drop method and mass spam the customization key with a full inventory; I have heard some interfaces are not interrupted when dropping in this manner. I cannot confirm this, but it would result in a lot higher xp/hr.
The only downside so far, is herblore. Herb cleaning with mouse keys or even a mouse recorder was well into 13k herbs cleaned per hour. Resulting upwards to 130K+ xp/hr, depending on the herbs used. With the new "Make X" option, herb cleaning has been nerfed. The only way to efficiently train herblore now seems to be actually making potions. Cleaning by hand takes too long to gain any serious experience rates. So long cheap herblore ://

you can't even clean herbs fast now, everyone thought that with eoc you could use a bar and clean them fast, but the new skilling interface interrupts it.

Yea i think that herb eoc action bar cleaning thing was "not intended" or a bug that jagex didnt want because of the effect it would have on prices and such,
But now that the randoms are gone, it makes it 1000% easier for color bots, so the herb thing doesent really bother me at all :)

No, but an account that has them may be worth a small amount somewhere else in 10 years, kinda like holiday items.

I doubt it. If they are untradeable, they will never be worth anything at all.

Accounts with old holiday items that are untradeable are worth money, why not accounts with old random event items that are untradeable?

Because you can show those old holiday items off + more people play today than back then.

On my F2P account I have enough tokens saved up to claim all of the costume pieces from random events, but never did due to bank space limitations. If randoms are gone permanently, I wonder how that will affect account value?

Should I still include Find normal randoms in my upcoming script just in case jagex re-implements randoms?
Kyle Undefined

IIRC, there are other functions that are called inside of FindNormalRandoms that aren't exactly randoms. Like the spin ticket, lamps, etc.

Yep, I have a function named handlesqueal (because 99% of the time its tickets etc) which includes something like this:
findDead();
findMod();
findDwarvenPopup();
exitSquealOfFortune();
closeAdWindow();
findSpinTicket();

Just go to a place where there are tones of people on one spot e.g soul wars, the more discrete the place is the one person that does go past you will think dafuq they doing in such a remote place and you will look suspicious, it's all about blending in when botting :garfield:

Indeed, your trying to look normal, not like a bot,
Hiding just makes it obvious
