Do you think there would be a way to donate to this site without using paypal? As in through RSGP? (As I have a ton of that)

I know that sounds very impractical, but is it possible? If not, do you think it is possible for one person to pay for another person's account? Like If I pay a friend 20M in RSGP, to put donate 10$ in my name.

Just a thought guys, I dunno why, but I feel like I might be flamed :P

Good Idea, this came to my mind once but I don't know if this is possible since when you donate, it says the username you are donating from. I'm telling you this because I donated…(Yes, I know..no cup but I care more about Villavu.)

How much did you donate if you dont mind my asking?

Only reason I ask is because $5 is the minimum in order to recieve the cup. If you donated the amount or more then pm an admin to get it sorted out. They wont mind fixing it up and adding it for you.

I prefer not to say the amount but I donated less than $5 to prevent from getting the cup. After all, it was to Villavu but sometime, I'll donate the rest to get the cup.

Honestly it probably won't happen as Wizzup? and Hobbit who handle donations (I believe) don't play RS, if anything just create a paypal and sell your gold to a mass gold seller on sythe :)

Yea under $5 will not get you the cup. Why dont you want it?? Im sure you could donate more and ask to not have the cup if you really wanted to.

Yeah, I think it would be easier. Not everyone has paypal but everyone has rsgp lol. Easier for the donors that is, adds another complication for the admins, having to sell the gold first though…

What about donating in someone elses name. Got the Idea from 2006scape and other websites, where you just type in the username of the person you want to donate for, and give your money for that. This way I could pay someone in RSGP to place a couple bucks in my name.

I wish an admin would come across this…

Lol, PM'ed him as well. Brak, the problem isn't finding someone to pay, its more of making it a feature on the website, to pay for someone else.

RSGP Donation service would be nice, there is a service like that on Sythe aswell. RSGP prices are more like 0.35$/M right now I'd say. Might rise now with the botwatch/botany bay update.

Best bet would probably be YoHoJo as previously mentioned.

Then how on earth is Yohojo getting away with selling for 0.50$/M??? I think prices are a little closer to .40-.45, Yohojo just gets away with .50 because he's trusted. I'd make this service, but I have no flow of cash to my paypal.

Asked Coh3n, he said the Admins could sort these things out if we PM'ed them that we want a certain donation to go in the name of a certain persons account. I asked him about implementing this as a standard donation procedure on the website, hopefully will get a reply soon!

Guys, this could change the way Villavu works entirely! Its Inspiring!

If they're donating on behalf of someone else, why not just pay that person, then that person can donate? Anyone can make a paypal account for free.

Just to confirm, we aren't accepting RSGP as donations. Since we don't have a GP selling business or anything of the sort, RSGP is pretty useless to us. What I was saying was that if you wanted to donate, but would rather pay in RSGP, find someone to buy the RSGP so you can donate with the money they sent you.

Votes don't really matter because it's up to the admins mostly. I'm sure you could find someone to donate for you if you tried hard, it's a lot like buying GP.

Yes, but its the availability of that option, for everyone, easily, which is the problem.

Plus, I think, to me, it is more likely that the admins would agree to this, if we had a ton of more votes :P

Seeing as Wizzup? is the only one who can make this option available, if it's going to be done, it won't be done for a while as it won't be high on his priority list. I'm not saying it won't be done, I'm just saying don't get your hopes up.

You write your name while donating, so you can just make them write for you.

Apparently people have forgetton about this but you can donate RSGP, you have been able to for a very long time now. But it was not for the donation cup, it was out of the goodness of your heart and was used to fund prizes for the scripting competitions.

Waz hoping some top people would do it, like Mods/Admins/Senior SRL Mems/ or just some really trustworthy people!

My first thought is that most people buying/Selling RSGP would be interested in this!

It's quite like the RSBuddy gifting system :) I was so pro at that.

I'd be open to offer this service for people if it became viable.

If someone wishes to donate in RSGP to the community, I have already posted their options above. As for having official people to take the RSGP and donate real money on their behalf, there will be no official SRL system for this at this time. If you wish to do something like that, that is up to you guys to figure out. I foresee it to get messy, the SRL Community and its staff will not be responsible for any adverse situations that arise if you should choose to pursue such a system on your own.

Your idea is a good one, and I am very happy that you are trying to better the community, it is just something we are not in a position to implement at this time. :)

This sounds OK. The site will not officially accept RSGP as donation, though. There's no point to accepting RSGP donations as it does not help keep the site and server running.

Also, I like his idea, Benny might help too. What I was wondering is what is the easiest possible way to get it done. Would there be an official system for him to inform you of how much he donated from who? I mean, regular pm's and stuff might be a little inefficient.
