SRL Archive - General Botting Help

K, the influx of all the posts of the simple outdated errors are overwhelming. Here's a tutorial on how to fix it yourself.


At the top of the script, you might see this:

{$i SRL/SRL/Misc/paintsmart.simba}

Change it to:

{$i SRL/SRL/Misc/SmartGraphics.simba}

You might also see:

{$i SRL/SRL/Misc/SMART.simba}

This is for the old SMART, change it to:

{$DEFINE SMART}

Back to SmartGraphics/PaintSmart!

You might get an error on a code like this:

SMART_DrawBoxEx(False,BoxHere,ClRed)

Easy fix!
Add an extra false, like so:

SMART_DrawBoxEx(False,False,BoxHere,ClRed)

Now for errors like these:

DrawBitmap(Pic, Smart_Canvas.Canvas, BmpPlacement.x, BmpPlacement.y);

Change to something like:

SMART_DrawBitmap(True,BitMapHere,Point(x,y))

changing

SmartGetDebugDC to GetDebugBitmap fixes the errors on most outdated scripts. just got Euphonic Fighter working.

Don't change anything else though!


Towards the bottom of the script, in the setup section, you might find this:

Smart_Server := 26;
  Smart_Members := False;
  Smart_Signed := True;
  Smart_SuperDetail := False;      

Change those lines to:

SRL_SixHourFix := True;
SMART_FixSpeed := True;

The script -should- now compile.
Runtime errors!

For any thing that uses hard coded coordinates, for the second and fourth coordinate, minus 50 from it.

I can see how this would be helpful to the… newer additions to SRL- especially the part about -50 from 2nd and 4th coord. I don't use hard coords but would've -50d all of them if I hadn't read this.

SmartGetDebugDC was removed, IIRC.

pretty sure the script needs to be updated to use smart_drawbitmap and such.

i figured it out. switching the coding as nkn said and also changing

SmartGetDebugDC to GetDebugBitmap fixes the errors on most outdated scripts. just got Euphonic Fighter working. ;)

At the beggining of your script, find {$i srl/misc/paintsmart.simba} or something that looks like that, and change it to {$i srl/srl/misc/smartgraphics.simba}

Read the OP. It tells you exactly what to do, just look for the part with Smart server in. :duh:

I was trying to get S1N's fishing script working again but I encountered that error. Before that error, though, I had an error with GetFightBarTPA saying:

hey i am having a problem with SMART and i was hoping you could help me out. when i run my script, it says

but then nothing happends after that. The game client is supposed to open but the script just stays running until i stop it myself but no game client opens. I dled SMART8 from this page (http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=87801) but i dont quite understand how to install it properly. I took all the contents of the dl and copied them into my C:/Simba/Plugins folder. thats all i did for the SMART and i dont know what to do next. i try to read the SMART8 page that i just posted but i dont really know what to do. i was hoping someone could help me. thanks

To download Smart8, simply copy all the contents of the .zip file into your SIMBA/Plugins folder. What script are you using?

You're using PaintSmart, not SMARTGraphics

Try this: GetDebugBitmap in place of SMARTGetDebug or w/e it is you PM'd me

It's discontinued… you don't.

if i write a simple script using only movemouse clickmouse and wait functions will that still work with msi down? and also is scriptinng in simba the same as scar? i've only used scar before just downloaded simba today.

MSI is a script.

You can create what ever you want in SIMBA, as SRL(What holds all the functions/ect) isn't broken.

It's pretty much the same as SCAR

could you put the entire error(minus the line number) that a user would receive for each of the above fixes? This would make a google search direct a user here :) Also if our forum search didn't @#$@#$ it'd take them here too.

Don't try to compile parts of the include, after you edit them, save and close

I get this error when I try to run the script? I'm pretty sure I set it up right. It logged in for me then just sat there. I was already in the runespan, I'm not sure what's wrong.

If you are using Kyles RuneSpanner, find 'AutoUpdate' and change the 'true' to 'false' then re-run. See how you go :)

I apologize profusely… I feel sooo retarded

So im pretty much brand new to this. I followed the install guide on this site - I updated simba - updated every thing else that the guide said to update - when I try and run this (from guide) -

program new;{$DEFINE SMART}{$i srl/srl.simba}begin ClearDebug(); SetupSRL();end.

I get a Error message (coppied from Simba) -

SRL Compiled in 0 msec
** Fatal Error: Pairing Clients; Terminating Script **
Successfully executed.

Make sure you follow the Setup guide, and copy the files where they belong.

well i did as they said. exactly how they said. just to clarify - Everything from the zip file ( smart 8) goes into the plugins folder under simba?

Are you making sure to open simba, then the script from within Simba, not just the script?

Try and force a SRL update.

tried but no go. That was one of the things I found while searching for a solutions.

I uninstalled again, re-installed again, updated all and looks like I'm in bizz again. I have no ideal what caused that error. I updated everything and forced SRL update with no joy. Glad I'm working again and I'm going to keep trying to figure out what happened. Thanks for the suggestion NKN. If I figure out what caused this I'll post it.

first line says {$i DEFINE SMART}, change it to {$i DEFINE SMART8}

I was following the video tutorial and when i used the sameple script to see if SImba worked i got this error

Make sure you aren't trying to run\compile simba.simba. Also make sure you are running the most up-to-date include.

Thinks it happens occasionally, just restart simba.

i get a different error now. I try to run the script on the setup page and i get this everytime
[Error] C:\Simba\Includes\SRL\SRL\core\globals.simba(751:13): Unknown identifier 'GetColorToleranceSpeed' at line 750

my thing says compiled successfully successfully executed but nothing pops up
