Simba 991.

Wizzup?

Hello everyone.

I've released Simba 991 which is basically Simba 0.99 with *SetClientArea functions.

I have also merged Brandon's changes for SRL, I've updated the plugins and I have updated the extensions.

Lots of updates, make sure you're fully up to date before trying a script!

The way you should update:

  • Update Simba to 991
  • Enable extensions.sex; update extensions.
  • Restart Simba.
  • Update SRL, MSI, SPS, Plugins.

~Wizzup

E: I think some credit is due, by the way.
Brandon: You did an amazing job. You're a testing machine. ;) And you've written a lot of code too. You're awesome, thanks for all your work.
Coh3n & Silent & Ninja: Testing and realising this all.

E2: Let's hope this works, by the way. I didn't test the latest SRL; but I assume it worked because others were positive about the merge.

E3: List of issues that need to be addressed:

  • Colour picker coordinates cannot be pasted into the script right away.(They need the same offset as the client) We need to make it simple to pick colours for a specific area.

No, Simba 99x is now simba-prev. Master is now Simba 1000 (but needs some fixes).

Yes. That is currently the case. Eventually we could consider adding a mechanism to disable this completely, but that would require extensive SRL changes. You could set and reset the area in your script manually, but it's probably better to update.

Co-ordinates are begining below the nav bar now, Im not sure if the color picker will give you the correct co-ordinate.

Wizzup?

2012-07-26 18:42:50

If you picked those coordinates manually, you need to offset them for the bar.

if the coordinates are beginning below the nav bar now, it will make it a pain for developers… much more irritating to write a script that works with and without smart. and it will be more difficult to remember "oh i used the official rs client while i was creating this part of the script, so i need to take off 50 from my y coords. and i used the Smart client while doing this part of the script, so these shoudl be the correct coords?". makes no sense to begin coord 0,0 below the nav bar.

edit: guess wizzup confirmed it. still dont understand why this would be put in, but w/e. imo, this is more of a pain.

SMART and the official client doesn't matter. Yes, it is a pain temporarily. But we cannot fix everything at once. The main goal is working scripts,srl,simba. Next goal is cleaning up.

@Footy. I think it's 50 if you're logged in, yes.

ok, i think i understand now. i was looking over ggzz's code before this official release came out and i found that he added variables to most, if not all, of the functions (of the files i just happened to be looking through). these variables obviously were the +50 of the nav bar. when u said temporary fix, i got confused, because if these variables were kept, i dont see why a temp fix would be necessary; so i looked through the official srl, and didnt find the same variables. so since these variables were not updated for the official srl yet, the temp fix is needed.

makes sense now :) . good work!

scripts that worked BEFORE the nav bar update will still work. this is because they decided to start 0,0 right below the nav bar (essentially making it so the nav bar update never occured). but all those that were updated to support the nav bar willl be broken.

Just press play again. Not sure if Simba comes with this commit: https://github.com/BenLand100/SMART/commit/735b052362c20f38f8c25118f7b0f44f9a26bd18

It should though. I only need to press play once or twice. Usually the first time I press it, if I get that problem, it works the second time around. This is because smart needed a couple seconds to pair. After that, it works every time. But again this depends on if Simba ships with the smart that has that commit.

For scripts, the only thing you would really need to change are the defines and include/setup stuff.
And no the fix didn't have to add 50 to every single function because ImageSetClient and MouseSetClient does that for you for every finder function automatically.

You shouldn't have to. Though you should note that everything the colour picker prints in the debug box has to have a Y-offset of 50.

Alright cool :)
I had fixed several scripts I had on my own for the 50+ pixels thing.. lol now I am changing them back to original coordinates

Minor question do we still need to add the beginning and the ending code changes to the old scripts.. for example:
{$DEFINE SMART}

{$IFDEF SIMBAMAJOR980}
{$I SRL/SRL/MISC/PAINTSMART.SIMBA}
{$ELSE}
{$I SRL/SRL/MISC/SMARTGRAPHICS.SIMBA}
{$ENDIF}

{$IFDEF SIMBAMAJOR980}
Smart_Server := 0;
Smart_Members := False;
Smart_Signed := True;
Smart_SuperDetail := False;
{$ELSE}
SRL_SIXHOURFIX := TRUE;
SMART_FIXSPEED := TRUE;

the 0,0 offset is apart of simba afaik. so to get around this you have 2 options:
1. go into simba and get rid of the offset, then recompile it. only works for u. i am incorrect on this one. look below.
2. just subract 50 from all your static Y coords

k lets clear it up.
If that script is a runescape script and not a private server script, just do what I posted above. If it is a script that is for private servers then what you have is fine.

Either way you still need a begin and end for every function. OLD scripts must be updated if you're using it for RS and using Simba 0.99.

I posted Examples part of the code, I obviously know it uses begins & ends…
My question… so no need for backward compatibility anymore? For the old scripts.. as in I am asking if its not needing anymore to add:
{$IFDEF SIMBAMAJOR980}   //<--- THIS
{$I SRL/SRL/MISC/PAINTSMART.SIMBA}

SetupSmart: Allows a user to setup a new remote client. This has one parameter which allows you to forcefully start a new client if true. If false, it will use a client that is already loaded. After calling this method, the controller and the client are automatically paired. This will allow you to have multiple smarts per simba process as smart now has it's own process: "SmartRemote.exe". Each Client Spawned has it's own Identifier.

Usage:
SetupSmart(ForceNewClient: Boolean);

well, in setupsrl; they declare setupsmart(); so this is where smart is started. i guess u can leave it be, and then do ANOTHER setupsmart(); afterward. (it will first load the previous smart, then it will reload setupsmart with a new smart client). but i dont know how well it will work. havnt really tested

Yeah could make it a variable. Good idea. At the time when I was writing that, it didn't cross my mind. The goal was to get it to work flawlessly. It really wouldn't be hard to add a variable to the include.

@Illuminatiswag no I didn't re-release it. The guys who viewed my screen during the teamviewer session got all the example scripts I modified. Three of them to be exact. And 3 people viewed the screen (one being Shay/Sin).

Edit: Added.. I'll send as a pull request. It's a simple 1 liner.

In Globals.Simba: Smart_ForceNew: Boolean;

In SRL.Simba SetupSmart(Smart_ForceNew);

That's it.

I haven't found a single script that works -.-, it either arbitrarily says there's no identifier on a variable or says "** Fatal Error: Pairing Clients; Terminating Script **" or that it cannot spawn a client, etc etc.

That's a SMART error. Download the latest SMART and drop it into your plugins folder.

I've sent a pull on that.. It should be fixed when a dev sees it. https://github.com/SRL/SRL-5/pull/57/files
Already tested and it works. Had it in the very first commit but Iunno why I removed it. I think I removed it when testing the paired clients stuff.

Other than that everything else working fine?

Also to clarify that documentation you quoted, True will open a new smart and simba will have control of that smart. False will use the smart that is already open so no new clients will popup. The identifier is Smart's processID. If you look in the title bar of smart you'll notice something like Benland100 [Some random numbers here].

Those numbers are the Identifier aka process ID from task manager. Also when you compile a script, it will say Client Paired with [Some random numbers here]. It's telling you which client that simba tab has control over.

That is the only thing users need to know about it. All the other mumbo jumbo stuff you need not worry about. I'll update that thread to reflect what I said here.

im getting all kinds of errors first i got simba going on msi but fails to walk anywere, cant seem to get any of my other scripts to even load smart, im not very good at all this any help would be much app

So to get latest everything and get stuff working do this:

  1. Open Simba go to tools, hit update, follow instructions
  2. restart simba
  3. Go to SRL -> Check for update
  4. Go to SPS -> Check for update
  5. Go to MSI -> Check for update
etc.

Not sure if MSI has had its SMART implementations updated or not, which could be causing you some problems. Hope this helps :)

;) Alright good, I will play more with some scripts in a bit.. waiting to see if AGS script having the " SRL_SIXHOURFIX := TRUE;" to see if it bypasses the 6hrs - currently at the 4h 30min mark.

I know earlier today I tried using SPS with a custom map and I was getting a weird error on compiling inside sps, but that was before I noticed the current updates(was using the ghetto fix, had not ran any updates since using it) - will try it again in a bit after my test.

Home, there are instructions on how to build it in a post by Brandon somewhere. [J]ustin, I don't know about SMART specific issues. Perhaps a newer SMART will help? I can try building one later.

BenLand100 usually builds newer ones and uploads them to his github though. I can see he didn't do that atm. I'll ask him to do that. (My computer with all cross compilers isn't plugged in atm)

Also, run the 32 bit Simba. (I can see you are doing that), it's not weird that it loads 32 bit plugins. It's supposed to.

When we merge lape-srl, you can actually use a 64 bit Simba. But for now, don't.

Yeah. Basically we need to bring it the branch up to date with the latest changes and then we can merge it. It should be as simple as that. I can't give an exact ETA, but I'd think within two weeks. Probably sooner.

Even after the 991 update (including smart 7.2) it's still not putting in login details for me.. Any Ideas? it just sits there after entering the transfer thread.

Having said that I diabled smart and forced a login on it and it picked up and tried to log me in in chat after asking me if I wanted a stats account. Very strange.

This is Silent Spys SilentSpinner script which has been updated

LOL Compiling smart on his comp was a pain!! Had to get him to restart so his Javac was recognized. Wizz he can confirm that the current plugins do NOT work unless compiled yourself so yes indeed smart needs recompiling/re-upping whenever you have some time.

Honestly if it wasn't for the plugins, it'd be like a 2 minute fix.. just install simba, update includes via the menu and you're good to go. That is if the smart plugin worked.

Yeah I had to compile the plugin's to get it to work as well.
Brandon, can't you just upload the newly compiled smart here ? and people can then just download it and put it in the're plugin's folder. I thought it might be easier like.

Edit: I just read what you said on the post above. So everyone will have to compile them selves for it to work ? until ben fixes that problem ?

These are the plugins I compiled on windows 7 32bit, try them if you get the pairing client error.

Edit: I removed the plugins download because the real problem has been found and will be sorted out soon.

Build of the current master branch: https://github.com/downloads/BenLand100/SMART/SMARTv7.2_flagchange.zip

But honestly, that flag shouldn't fix this bug. I suspect the problem is in SRL's implementation but I haven't had a chance to look.

If you really want to be daring, switch to the next branch and build v8.0 and test that for me. It has almost the same usage as v7.2, but completely different backend and can start the other rendering modes (though everything except safemode is useless for grabbing colors).

E:
IF YOUR DEBUG HAS THIS LINE IN IT:
Library: 0
It means that smartremote[32|64][.exe|] FAILED to find libsmart[32|64].[dll|so]
That should not be fixed by this SMART version. It's related to the FIRST argument passed to SMART which is the path to the Simba's Plugins folder which should be where all of the files are. If that path is wrong, then the error is expected.

Replace that whole section of the script (all the stuff beginning with Smart, there should be 4 in that area) witht this:

Smart_Server := 0;

Well, if you {$I libsmart} Simba will check for libsmart.dll first, then libsmart32.dll (if you're windows 32 bit), however smartremote32.exe does NOT use that same fallback and expects it to be named the way I shipped them. Wizzup renamed it to overwrite the libsmart.dll from older versions, but didn't consider that the name was important for another part of the program ;)

The plugin update should happen alongside SRL update after you enable the extension and update it. If it doesn't work simply download the .zip folder and unzip it straight into Simba/plugins and move & replace all the conflicting folders.
If you get permission issues while doing this you can try moving your plugin folder onto you desktop then extracting the zip and then moving the plugin folder back into c:/simba

Just update everything through the simba menu extensions

I was getting that line 550 bitmap error yesterday while making a script, for me it was that I was compiling before adding SetupSRL; in the mainloop… no idea if yours would be the same.

K time to explain something.. Running multiple clients in one or more Simba's/Tabs.

Smart Remote is working like this:

If NO scripts are running, when one script is ran, Smart will pair to whichever client has the lowest ID/PID and is unpaired.

When you run another script, whether it's in a new tab or a new simba, a new smart will SPAWN ONLY IF:

1. No smart's are running.
2. A smart is running but is currently in use by a Simba or Simba-Tab.

Otherwise it will steal control of whatever smart is active but not in use. So.. If you have two Smart's open and no scripts running, whichever gets ran first will get first choice of which smart it wants.. So yes.. no need to report it as a bug.

You can try it by running this in two different tabs:

{$DEFINE SMART}
{$I SRL/SRL.Simba}

begin
{$IFDEF SMART}
SRL_SixHourFix := True;
Smart_FixSpeed := True;
{$ENDIF}

SetupSRL;
repeat
MMouse(Random(500), Random(500), 0, 0);
Wait(1000); //The repeat loop simulates a script's main loop. This keeps Smart from unpairing.. Thus another tab/simba cannot steal it.
until(false);
end.

That sounds like you pressed Play on both of them while no smart's were spawned.
Was the second smart busy? Meaning was the script actually using it? Or was it just sitting there? Did you try the script I posted?

Open two Tabs, paste the script I posted. Press play on one and let it spawn a client. Go to the next tab and press play and it should spawn a client of it's own since the previous is busy/in-use.

I did what you said and yeah, they both opened up their own SMART.

So what I'm doing is, while having one script running on a SMART. I open another Simba with a new script (tried both different and same scripts), and push play, and another SMART doesn't pop up or anything.

So I tried doing the same thing again and it came up with another SMART for some reason… It seems like it has a 50/50 chance of doing what I said, and actually opening up a SMART. At least for me 'o.o. So i guess that's good for now.

The only other problem I have atm is when I try to run a certain script this message comes up:

Error: Exception: The Points you passed to DrawATPA exceed the bitmap's bounds at line 90
The following DTMs were not freed: [SRL - Lamp bitmap, 1]
The following bitmaps were not freed: [SRL - Mod bitmap, SRL - Admin bitmap, SRL - Flag bitmap, SRL - NavBar Bitmap, 4]

I'm pretty sure I updated the script right so idk what the problem is

That RSPS script uses Scar.. it's not for Simba at all so there is no fixing for that. You need the scar include that you had with it..

For the other guy.. You have a bitmap that is out of range.. If you have teamviewer, pm me your id and pass and i'll check out what you're talking about.

I'll try to explain it as best as i can first, also I'm not the only one that has the problem, so I don't think that it's the script. The script is Warrior's Blackjack Basher, and before the Simba/SRL update (and of course the social slayer update), it worked fine. Only things I changed are the changes on your thread:

http://villavu.com/forum/showthread.php?t=84334

The script begins by opening up your xp counter, then hovering over your thieving skill, it's after it hovers of the skill that the error pops up:

Then the script stops of course

Of course it stops.. I just tried it.. He's trying to draw a box that isn't even on Smart's Canvas.[LEFT]

MMy1 - 10; //His code..
MMY1 = 8 //Globals.simba..
8 - 10 = -2. //How can you draw a box at -2?

I will add the failsafes.. That way if out of bounds drawing occurs, it will clip. I'll send it as a pull in a couple minutes after testing it.

[/LEFT]
The only reason it worked before was because you were allowed to draw off canvas (it simply didn't draw that part). With set persistent memory, passing the wrong drawing points doesn't work. Only thing I can do is put failsafes in the SmartGraphics.Simba to fix your out of bounds problems.

As for the other guy I doubt that script has been running for ages.. I had to correct so many syntax errors that it was ridiculous.. Your if statements have no "Then's", missing brackets and semicolons everywhere.. Plus it's using the SCAR include.. SRL hasn't used that for ages!! So there is no way that, that script has been working in SIMBA before the update unless you were using a very very very old Simba + Scar Include.

and this video is made by me showing my fighter script in rsps
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Zhwg34GaHE –> skip to minute 2 in video
ps. look at date upload on youtube

I'm not saying you can't bot.. I'm saying you cannot USE SCAR SCRIPTS in SIMBA.. This isn't scar..
I don't know what to tell you other than write that script for Simba for your Private Server.. If you need help porting a scar script to Simba I don't mind helping but don't try running scar scripts in Simba.. It simply doesn't work. They use different functions.

I'm not going to tell you that the script worked before because it simply couldn't have been possible unless you had an include AND Simba from years ago.

Also for you guys that understand the drawing out of bounds, would you recommend me try catching all the drawing functions or would you rather do that yourself..

I personally thing it's the user's job to do this and make sure they're drawing on smart at the right positions but if everyone wants it then I have no problem adding it..

:) Yay! No more PM's about paired client fail. I'll test them. Going to grab yours and see.

Also what do you think about the out of bounds drawing? Should users watch where they're drawing or do we take care of it for them?

EDIT: Btw.. everyone who has simba now, Just press Update from the SRL menu.. Wizzup's plugins are flawless!! They work on the first try 100% of the time!

Of course it stops.. I just tried it.. He's trying to draw a box that isn't even on Smart's Canvas.[LEFT]

MMy1 - 10; //His code..
MMY1 = 8 //Globals.simba..

Ok, thanks for the explanation :)

@ Yohojo that only shows one smart being loaded :S

Your script terminates right after and the result is: EIOS Unpaired.
Thus since the client is unpaired, it's a free for all.. Your second script will use it rather than spawning a new one.

Think of it like this:

A: Script 1 runs.. It terminates and leaves it's smart as a free for all, script two will take it's smart since it's not in use.
B: Script 1 runs.. it's still running, script two will spawn a new smart and use that instead of stealing from script 1.
Vice-versa occurs as well.. If you want two smarts, make scenario B happen. Inother words, make sure your script 1 is still running before starting script 2.

Ok, the problem I described before is back and it constantly happens now. I have one script running with one SMART up. I open another Simba/script and push play. It comes up at the bottom saying it paired with SMART client [insert number here]. That's still all it does and nothing else. Tried it with multiple scripts under a couple conditions. It's starting to be annoying, only running one script at once :duh:

I don't know what script you're using.. and if you want you can PM me and I'll respond there rather than filling up this thread with edited scripts as this really is supposed to be a release thread. Also the script you previously posted draws boxes out of bounds. It tries to draw on invisible space and that is not allowed. You can easily wrap your drawing code in a try catch end block.

I run all my programs from a script called 'Basescript' so at the start of each script I add {$include Simba/Scripts/BaseScript.simba} and it has been using the procedures from that script in the new one. However, with the update, this error message comes up "Exception in Script: Unable to find file 'Simba/Scripts/BaseScript.simba' used from 'C:\Simba\Scripts\Alching.simba'"
Any ideas?? btw hav updated and enabled all extensions

Yes and because the updater changed.. It's easier to update plugins like this.. They just get deleted when you start a new session.

Have you noticed after a simba update you see something like Simba.old in the simba folder? Same thing. Also if something is wrong, just remove the .bak and :)

Uhm, they don't actually get deleted yet. But they aren't opened on a restart, so we can override them. Deleting them wasn't worth the effort at the time. ;)

You're not a fool. Your script is just terminating badly. A lot of ppl had this issue yesterday and had to restart their comps. Seems to happen whenever there are client zombies. Either kill all the smartremote processes or just restart your comp and try it. Just don't forcefully terminate your script.

Sorry about my stupidity but…..I can't even download this update? On the log screen it tells me that an update (991) is available, yet when i click Tools>Update it says I have the latest version. I forced an update anyway, but nothing changes. As for the reason why I am so adamant about getting said update, I have the same "client pairing" issue as everyone else, despite trying multiple uninstalls and "ghetto" fixes (i.e. I downloaded SMART v7.2 through Brandon's link). If it helps, I am on a Mac OS with the assistance of wine bottler.

Ok, try this quick. First, rather than updating through Simba simply download the the newest Simba from HERE I believe. Next, following Wizzup?'s exact instructions (with a couple additions) do this:

  • Enable extensions.sex; update extensions.
  • Close out Simba program, NOT from the black console box
  • Open up Simba again, go to "View > Extensions" and enable (by double-clicking) Extensions, SRL and SPS. These you must enable, at least. You know they're enabled when they're highlighted in green.

  • Next, go to "SRL > Check for Updates". Same with "SPS > Check for Updates".
  • Let both of them finish completely, then close out Simba, NOT the black console box.
  • Right-click on Simba.exe and choose "Run as Administrator". (Never open Simba through a script, always open Simba from the Simba.exe program)
  • Open your script, compile so all your includes compile as well. If you did everything correctly there should be no errors. Then just run your script.

For one, (I think it's b/c I'm on a Mac), I don't see that black console box; all I have is the simba client and a completely blank tab that I believe SHOULD be the console box. Second, when I enable sps.sex, it says "Error in SPS updater: Could not call proc". And lastly, I don't know how to run as admin on my Mac, but I am the only user. Still, I went through the procedure step-by step, uninstalling simba and reinstalling it with your guidelines, and I ended up with the same "fatal error client pairing" as before. But I really do appreciate your efforts, sorry if I wasted any of your time.:redface:

I downloaded the new simba991 about 3 days ago and it worked fine for me, but from yesterday after an automatic srl update I again have a issue with my coordinates. It is once more off by 50. I have not downloaded any other srl.simba file or anything.

Am I the only person with this problem?

Should I be using any settings in the script to use the new clientarea?

Like
SetupSmart(False);
and then continue with normal script, or is this supposed to work as default without any additional settings.

I have just uninstalled smart deleted all directories and reinstalled it, doing all the updates and I still have the 50 off target coordinates problem.

Any advice? If there is any additional settings, where can I get documentation explaining it and how to use it and set it up for correct use?

Thanks in advance

No, it's not just you. It's using a ton more CPU than before, good 30% more for me. The bugging with restarting scripts and it taking over clients is annoying as hell too. I haven't touched simba again due to that, it's just too buggy and irritating to bother with when there are better alternatives.

I'm pretty sure you can disable the remote behavior. At least, you should be able to.

How would I go about doing that? For example if you run 4 scripts and one gets a random which would require a restart of the script, it'd force you to start all of them again because it'll attach to the wrong smart. There's no way they'd work after 6 hours either since they random attach to smarts. It works fine if you start them all, they make their own smarts and work correctly, it's just a random, script error, or restarting would screw them over and you'd need to close and re open all of them.

Sigh.. if you want it to pair to only a specific client then in your script, after smart spawns just put: PairSmart(ClientID) after setupsrl.

I can't see why that's happening to you guys at all. If Smart is already paired to a client there should be absolutely no way that it could pair to that client again..

For anyone having that problem I'll teamviewer you if you wish.. Just PM me with the ID and temp pass.

I will not be fixing scripts for you though. Just checking your smart and java to see if everything is as it should be.

Does the smart client id change after 6 hours? Or will it stay the same one until I close it manually?

K well I just tested everyone on someone's comp.. It's not SRL.. It's smart.

1. It returns invalid counts.. Lets say I have 3 clients spawned and only 2 are paired (1 is unpaired). SmartGetClients(True) will return 3. This means it's saying that 3 of them are unpaired -__- That's incorrect. Only 2 are paired.

2. SmartPairClients is pairing to already paired clients. According to Ben's thread smart isn't supposed to do this:
A controller can pair with a client if it is unpaired, and maps its shared memory

Either it's smart or simba that's causing that. Either way, there is nothing more I can do via SRL to fix that for you guys. Smart is loaded exactly how Ben's thread has it. Only difference it that it writes it's parameters in the debug box. That's it.

I've tried it on someone else's comp as administrator so it can't be a permissions problem. Works fine on Linux.

I have all the latest updates, Uninstalled and reinstalled everything, but I still have a 50 offset problem.

Can anyone help me with this? Do I need to provide the setclient coordinates?

When I do a FindObjTPA, it finds the object but clicks 50 units off the target.

Also with MouseBox it is 50 units off, it also seems that my uptext is also off by 50 units.

Are you using the latest version of SMART? I tried setclientarea with 6.10 but it did not work. Btw are there any ways to disable the smart remote behavior.. I've tried many different ways but it spawned smart 6.10c which will not work with the current SRL.

EDIT: 6.10c does not have the correct dimension for the nav bar also.

I`m using smart 7.2 and the smart itself does not give me any problems, but I have read a few posts back Brandon said that he has tested it and it seems smart has a problem when opening more than two bots at a time as it will take over one of the smarts that was already in use.

I also read on a post this morning some one has firgured a way to prevent that by putting his scripts he wants to run for each bot in a separate sub folder from where he runs it and then they don`t take each other over when running more than two bots from one simba. Can`t remember in which thread I have read it otherwise I would have given the link to it. Do a search for smartremote and see what it brings up.

I think I will need to go back to Brandons srl with my own uptext function to get the coordinates to work correctly. It is a pain and I don`t know why it is only with me that this is happening.

I even deleted all older simba`s to make sure that it does not launch from a older version but still no success. It is also not a outdated script from which I am running but from a script I`m writing myself. So the problem can`t be there.

I still did not figure the problem with S.M.A.R.T ,it just load brand new window or try to use old one,everytime i restart script for example. Pretty weird…

And second problem is with mouse it has offset everywhere…+50, really hard to make new scripts… since oyu have to add everywhere -50

I Still have the 50 offset problem. Included you will see a picture of it finding the object I`m looking for but then it clicks on the object to select it it is off by 50. Can someone please tell me what is going on? This update was supposed to fix this and everyone else is saying it works for them. Why then is my Simba991 and smart 7.2 screwed? As far as I know from talking to Brandon a lot, GetMousePos is weird and doesn't work…try editing it to where you aren't using that.

The offset was removed from getmousepos for various reasons. It messes up all other mouse functions and does the incremental offsetting (by double the offset). It stacks with other offsets.

Atm, GetMousePos is ALMOST never needed unless it is a custom mouse function that you created.

don't know if this is a simba or a smart problem but when you try to start another bot it pairs with you first bot instead of opening a new smart window

this problem seems to happen if you changed script on one of you simbas

@Krisg05 - From my understanding that is a problem with SMART at present.

@OP - Try this, it is exactly your function without GetMousePos, should still work fine and not have the weird y-axis offset anymore..

if (CountItems('dtm', DTM_SoftClay, []) <> 0) then
Begin
x:=MSCX; // This is the Center Of the Main Screen Where Your Character is standing at the moment
y:=MSCY; // The Search for your object will start from this location outwards in a spiral

Wait(100);
End;
End;

Did you not read the post you quoted at all? If you have Simba 0.99 then all you need to do is press the "update" button under Extensions, wait for it to update, then restart Simba then update MSI, SRL, and SPS. Then viola, you have Simba .991

If you don't have Simba .99, then well.. the link to download it is also in your quote…

Ok, so I just started using Simba today because RSbot seems permanently down.

I have 991 fully updated and all, but I cant get a single script to run correctly. Apparently 911 is very new and I cant find a single script that has been formatted to run on it. After a bit of reading, basically what I found is that nothing is working simply because the y- co-ordinates are all off?

I was told I either need to wait for everyone to update their scripts or I could manually update them myself. Now, I'm no scripter by any means.. I've studied some C++ and I run linux and that's all the background knowledge I have.

So, my question here is how do I manually update these scripts? Can I just search out all the y- co-ordinates and reduce them by 50 or is it a much more extensive process that I have no hope of accomplishing with my limited knowledge of java?

This seems to be a recurring issue, I have no idea what's wrong here. Was told I needed to update the script manually or wait for everyone else to do it. I'm not that patient, so any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

Well, the offset wasn't really removed but rather inverted. So normal mouse pos (60 60) would be (10 10) with area on (50 50).

Hey Wizzup, I have suggestion, since everywhere else color picker coordinates works well.. Maybe we should have another color picker exactly for RS client which automatically subtracts 50px from Y coordinates (client header). And makes coordinates correct for rs client and we still be able to get from any non rs related clients with current one. Feel free to use icon in any case.
