I need to burn about 35k dbones to get 99 pray.

Yes I used it for 99 prayer and it supports familiars too, but afaik no scripts work due to yesterday's update. Gotta wait for that to be fixed first.

Um, find someone online who has a gilded altar and an open house. Usually they will be getting 99 prayer themself so they will be lighting the insense burners.
It's not hard mate.
Use terrorbird or the turtle or yak to carry more bones. I myself am getting yak to carry more bones. 1 lvl away from it.

I seem to remember there being a scrip that does the Poh method, which might even reduce the bones u need to use. Also I would suggest waiting for another update with one of those 250k bonus xp necklaces or something. I was getting well over 500xp per dbone with the necklace and greater corruption aura.

Or you can wait for the next double xp weekend which may save you some cash.. But if u want 99 asap, then the altar is the right direction..

I think I'll be doing that.
I've already gotten the bones needed for 99.
Just how long do you have to wait for the next one, hmmm, if its too long Ill just get it without.

I got 99 pray without ever doing the burners legit :) Just wait for simba to get all fixed up

I did it by hand, but the XP was so fast I had no complaints. I recommend W31 Yanille or search the RS forums for 'open house' including a gilded altar, so you have people to chat/race with.

I think getting 99 prayer is one of those skills you can legit and kinda be proud of yourself for doing as you can get a butt load of experience from playing only for a few hours. Then again all up to ones preference.

This is almost true, AFAIK there is a 1.1x multiplier no matter how long you have played that weekend on using bones on altars and the ectofunctus.

If you have gilded altar or plan to get your own then either wait for the official update to come through or use some of the DIY hotfixes on the official thread to get the gilded altar script working (either that or make your own).

If you do not want to get the construction and pay for the altar then simply get at least war tortoise and use someone else's house. You can do like 1.2k-1.3k bones/hour if playing legit so you're looking at like 30-35 hours.

You can easly find on the official rs forums somebody who has an open house with guilded altar and people usually donate marentill to him and he keeps burning the torches….

Just do it legit, buy 13k frost bones that's what I did :) quick 70-99.

It's so much better to just use your own POH. You don't have to deal with lag, annoying people, and 10 million familiars running around.

Also, about the bonus xp discussion. Bonus xp works towards prayer, it just doesn't stack with the bonus from a gilded altar.

Slayer?

Slayer is actually a different process every task, prayer is just the same thing, over and over again. Dbones from bank, then you gotta find your tort, tele to home, get to the guy's house, and light the bones.

Assuming I have 35k dbones to burn, and with the tortoise, I'll be burning 40 bones per invent.

35,000/40= 875 trips.

+ the lagg and the door trolls that are at the people hosting the altar will drive me mad.
