Difficult Walking

I have been working on a BDK recently in the taverly dungeon and have it about 90% done.

The problem I am having is walking from the ladder to the locked door.

I have come here after trying these methods multiple times.

SPS
TPA
DTM
DDTM with increased tolerance upon not finding dtm.
RadialWalk // yeah i no… old school

I have come to the members help section.
If anyone helps me they will be properly credited and all that.

Hopefully this can be resolved quickly, whether it was a stupid mistake of mine or something else. :garfield:

Problems:
-SPS: -starts working but runs off randomly…
-DTM: - works for a few times, then messes up.
-DDTM & TPA: same as DTM.
-RadialWalk: extremely difficult for some reason… will revert to this if necessary.

On SPS What tolerance you got it set to?
Also Me and S1N Made one that used the pipe and we used DTM walking.

Never changed anything with the tolerance with SPS only with DDTMs. I see it used in the include now that you mention it, what would you suggest?

Well on the part you are using Try 0.5; and how are you making your path?
When I used a custom sps Map I had to manually walk the path with this

program new;
{$i srl/srl.Simba}
{$i sps/sps.simba}
Var
begin
SetupSRL;
SPS_Setup(,['']);
Writeln(SPS_GetMyPos);
end.

actually I tried with the path creator first, then tried your script. I then modified your script to print out my position every few seconds to make way more points closer together and tried that.

Also, would you suggest using SPS_Setup(RUNESCAPE_DUNGEONS,['taverly_dungeon']) or did you make a custom SPS map.

Trying that now… one second.

Edit: Not sure what you were trying to accomplish with that kingarabian… if it was honest help then thanks but that won't help.

It's a walking method… You can use it to walk from the Ladder and vice versa.

Ok I thought you were being sarcastic and pointing out the simplicity of walking lol.

I tried that method which is TPA walking.

Thanks for pointing out the SPS Tolerance Mat and I have been messing around with that which is doing a little better. It still isnt completing my path though no matter what I set it to, and something I noticed while messing around was:

-When I'm standing still and constantly debugging "SPS_GetMyPos()" the output is not always the same.

try FindDTM rotated AND Obj_Find

What do you mean Obj_Find?

What happened when you tried TPA walking with the link kingarabian posted?

When was the last time you have scripted? O.o

kingarabian's linked thread should work perfectly, I used it on my man killer recently and it worked quite well.

I don't know if that was directed toward me (almost sure it wasn't but..), I'm actually writing a script now with a buddy.

I was having this same problem with SPS and all the methods you guys listed (living caverns destroys them all).. Only thing that will fix it is SPS 1.5.. Camaro's colour walking will fail you if the colours are too close which they might be. It's almost the same as tpa walking. I'd say to try the Object DTM's.

Thing is SPS 1.5 can give you access violation errors and exceptions. I'd say the best thing you can do is to make a large bitmap and do something like findbitmap in bitmap(minimap) when found, click a co-ordinated position. Hard to explain.. I'd have to code it. It's the same thing SPS does basically.

Else you can try sps 1.5 with a shitload of try catches.. or the Object DTM's which I say is the best bet since there's lots of trees around there.

Oh sorry I aimed it at the OP.
