Hi there.

I'm a little stuck and want some genuine help. Could someone explain to me what the difference is between these applications for SRL members, and why one has more yes's than the other.

The difference is from what I have seen is that HardRockers is more active, maybe?

As to why I voted yes to one and no to the other, I have no clue. I felt like that, because I was voting 'no' continuously nowadays? Except gzz or grr, or whatever his impossible to remember name is. Maybe I shouldn't voted at all after my exam was successful, I was too happy :(.

Well to tell you the truth.. I never voted on either one.. Why? Because I took the same stance as you plus I'm new to this and have no clue how it works.. didn't even know I was members until just now..

Umm as far as I know, most voted yes because the first guy has a slayer script in the works with a bunch of other ppl?

I vote yes if I think a member is worthy of being in SRL Members. There are more factors than just the applicants proven ability to write a script.

For example I've released one SRL script, yet I'm still an SRL member somehow ;) It was not my scripting ability that got me where I am in this community.

If someone puts the time into creating a script and applying it signifies to me that they're ready to be an SRL Member.

Activity, Attitude, Talent are all important for SRL Members. Ask yourself if this is someone you want to associate with and work with. If you can answer yes then they deserve to be an SRL Member.

I think I speak for a lot of the higher ups (SSRL+) when I state that scripting ability is not the only requirement of being an SRL Member.

Edit:
ggzz, you totally deserved the SRL Member rank. I went through the motions to try to get it given to you the other day and then realized you had already applied.
