While trying to make my Guild Miner completely color, I stumbled across this problem. I can get the player to get into the mine and mine a full inventory flawlessly, but once it has a full inventory, I cannot figure out how to position the character to move him back to the ladder.
The mini-map is pretty much uniform, so I cant pick out a specific color to walk to. I also tried Radial Walking, but due to the player ending up in different spots almost every inventory, that doesn't work. I then thought to make a dtm or even a bitmap of the ladders on the minimap, but they are such a dark brown, if I add any tolerance it won't be able to distinguish it against the dark blown ground.
Basically, I'm stuck and at a loss for more ideas.

Well for one you know where the ladder is, which is west (I think?), so a basic form would be to just walk west until you see the ladder. You could also use SPS/make your own SPS-esque walking method (any place that doesn't have a height of 0 is at a great advantage because of the outline), which would be relatively simple.

find out which way your compass is facing, radial walk accordingly. You may need one-two radial walks to get to ladder

Wow, quick response. I just thought that I could maybe setangle(false) then look west and walk west. Experimenting around i noticed that you can see the grey from the ladders from a distance off if your camera is all the way down.

You don't need to set the angle or change it or anything. Use RotatePoint (I hear there's a bug in it somehow? Dunno, but mess around with positive/negative values if you have issues).
I believe RM wrote a guild miner once that walked to the symbol (center of the mine) if it couldn't find the ladders at first, then just radialwalk west. Worked pretty well from what I remember.
Yes Radial walk. If there is no stable color, talk to me:P

There's the mining symbols that you could use, no?

Find the guild dungeon boundaries, calculate a straight line through it (horizontal) and walk it until it finds the ladder.

What my uncompleted guild miner did was if you were in the mine(count the black colors on the MM and if there greater than like 1000) and you are logged in then TPA Walked west

i would suggest…
click the compass
walk west until you find a DTM of the west side (make the center point the ladders) and click on the DTM

This.
My GuildMiner used to autocolor the ladder, or the rocks next to it which were different to the coal rocks (at least at the time).
If not, I'd make a DTM of the white boundaries of the white boundaries of the mine, making the centre at the ladder.
Or detect the furthest west white pixel (assuming there is MM Black on west), and then just using math to figure out where the ladder should be.

Click west until you find laddercolor. Problem being?
And you got >9000 rocks there, more than enough significant markers ;)

Why not just walk south to the bottom of the mine then walk along the wall(add randomly to the "y" so that you're not hugging the wall of course)
should be fairly straight forward ;) fuck it, you can blind click all you want. hard to get lost in a fricken tiny dungeon :D
if you need help let me know. A few years ago i used to have in my sig,
"Will do all map walking for anyone" That was long before reflection.
I wrote a tut on how to use WalkPath i believe. My suggestion(aside from the easiest one which i already posted). Use DDTM's and/or TPA's.
