SRL Archive - Revisions / Releases

Here's Simba 0.97-rc3. Binaries will be built later this day and appear on the Unstable release channel. It contains a few extension updates (mainly to the paster) as well as some memory-leak fixes in the font and GUI code.(As you can see Dgby has done some great work)

I have some other changes coming up in other branches, but that's all for this -rc3. It would be nice if a few people could test it and see if the memory-clean-ups don't introduce regressions. (Once the binaries are built, anyway)

I've a question that apparently is directly related to the news (820) Simba. When trying to compile (any) scripts with the unstable 820 I'm getting a compile error for the Antirandoms file (Reflection 2) saying it cannot find "RAbyss_InRandom".

[Error] D:\Simba\Includes\Reflection\./lib/antirandoms/Antirandoms.simba(44:18): Unknown identifier 'RAbyss_InRandom' at line 43

Abyss is properly included in the Antirandoms file ({$include_once ./Abyss.simba}), and it only gives this error with the newest Simba, I switched back and froth between 810 and 820 and that seems the be the only thing I'm doing differently. I also tried this with multiple files, same result.

Anyways, hope you find the info useful.

We have fixed the Include_once functions in 820, so the only reason it works in 810 is because it didn't properly work. This sounds confusing but in the end it's something Reflection will have to fix.

I see nothing I have to fix on my end. Works perfect for me.

Nava, technically there shouldn't be a problem. But I'll have a look at it in a bit. If someone else wants to look at it that'd be nice too as I'm on vacation at the moment. But in this case you may just want to use {$I X} rather than {$INCLUDE_ONCE},. as that would probably solve the issue. We just have to work out if it is indeed the proper solution.

What Simba version?

I've confirmed the bug and hopefully fixed it. Fix will be in the soon to be released 0.97-rc5. :) ( I swapped booleans forgot an Exit; must have been pretty tired)
