Go to http://moparisthebest.com/jenkins and choose either Simba_Next for Unstable or Simba_Stable fo Stable.

Text below is still useful but not particularly relevant.

Simba has a stable and an unstable branch, by default,Simba follows the stable branch.
The Simba updater simply uses a link to retreive the current version of Simba as well as the link to the actual Simba.exe.
This allows one to quickly gain access to new Simba features. (Unstable will usually have more features, but may not be tested too thoroughly.)

So, if you use the Windows version, the Simba updater can choose between the following two Simba versions. (Currently only 32bit / x86 Windows builds are maintained)

Stable: http://simba.villavu.com/bin/Windows/x86/Stable/
Unstable: http://simba.villavu.com/bin/Windows/x86/Unstable/

The links for other operating systems / other architectures are similar, they follow the following rule:
http://simba.villavu.com/bin/<Operating System>/<Architecture>/<Stable or Unstable>/
If you aren't sure about the exact link, everything past http://simba.villavu.com/bin/ has indexing on. So you can just browse to the right folder.

To switch from and to either branch, just change the link in the Settings form. There is one thing to remember in particular when switching from either branch: Simba will only update itself if the online version is larger than its own version!

You will need to update the RemoteLink and RemoteVersionLink keys.

So, if you are going from 706 (Unstable) to 705 (Stable), then you will have to download/install the Stable binary manually.
(Which is located at http://simba.villavu.com/bin/<Operating System>/<Architecture>/<Stable or Unstable>/Simba.exe)

Any questions? Post them and I'll add answers to the first post.

I uploaded 810 to Unstable. I'll move 810 to Stable soon. (Right now Stable is still at 750)

Can we get the linux version up too? Was the mouse problem fixed for Linux in this update? Wasn't able to make mouse clicks before.

May I recommend checking out https://www.moparisthebest.com/jenkins/ ?
It contains the very latest as well as stable builds. For Linux you'd probably want Simba-lape instead of Simba stable, as the default interpreter still does not work properly on Linux, although lape is by no means finished either. It depends on what you want to use it for, I suppose.

Here's a fun thing: On a clean install of 0.97.3 only one of those two keys are present in the .ini file (forget which one was missing). Changing just the one present failed to switch it over to the unstable branch (not surprising).

I had to copy over the key from another computer that had been updated to 0.97.3 from an older version. That had both values present.

They get added on first use. If they're not there, you'll have to add them manually. :)

Leider, there is still no mouse functions yet (aside from movemouse) for Ubuntu Oneric 32-bit. Perhaps I could help out by writing a bit of code that can do this? I can't seem to get the source code for this program. I can only get pre compiled versions from Jenkins. What API does Simba use on Linux to accomplish colour finding and device interaction?

EDIT: Actually just found it hidden in Projects on github. Great to see people using git!

program new;
begin
holdmouse(0,0,mouse_left);
wait(200);
movemouse(100,100);
wait(200);
releasemouse(10,10,mouse_left);
end.

Does something like this not work?

And for Linux specific functions, look at Units/MMLCore/os_linux.pas :)

Simba uses xlib (X11 Interface) directly on Linux. It is partially work in progress because I've never tested it thoroughly, but it generally seems to work. :)

If you have any questions, ask!
