Yeah I've heard that an AUS person doing it through a US person saves money. Also yea I've heard of people having trouble with Jagex accepting their PP for some reason too. Which is why I do it for them :], just like to charge a bit more so I get something out of it. Thanks Dgby

Could be that his cell company deemed the SMS unauthorizable after they accepted it and did a chargeback. But since they accepted it the 1st time, Jagex credited the account with membership.

Apparently this has never happened before.

NOTICE TO ALL PEOPLE WITH NEGATIVE BALANCE

This is ONLY for people who in the last month (I believe any time from December 21 - January 21st specifically) who bought an SMS PIN (meaning the 14M PIN which you entered yourself), I am fully aware that your accounts now have negative balance and are locked.

Firstly I'd like to say throughout my extensive PIN selling history this has NEVER happened before nor do I plan on it ever happening again, and I am TRULY VERY VER sorry about this! I understand the shock, fear, angst, lost time, lost gp/$, etc of seeing your member's account which you payed for locked is terrible, I know that feel!

Basically, my phone is through a family plan, and my parents get my Phone bill each month. They know about my PIN selling and stuff (or should…), but I guess in the last month I've sold A LOT more than normal, which showed up as a large lump sum of $80+ on our phone bill, which to my parents seemed extremely odd suspicious, they called ATT about it, and when they could not clarify what the charges were, they assume it was internet/download related, and told ATT to remove/unauthorize the translations.

This resulted in all PINs from ~ December 21st to January 21st to become voided, and your accounts being locked D:.

Official Runescape Definitoin/Fix for having negative balance/JCoins

Negative JCoins are added to an account when the bill payer has questioned a payment with one of our payment partners (e.g. Global Collect, Boku, PayPal etc.) This is called a disputed payment and the cost of membership has been returned to the bill payer.

As the payment has been returned, any membership used will need paying for again. This turns used membership into a debt. We display this debt on an account as negative JCoins, all other membership packages are removed from our payment screens until the debt is paid.

Negative JCoins can only be repaid using the PayByCash payment method due to the risk of further charges using other methods.

The first step you should take when faced with negative JCoins is to speak to the bill payer. It is possible they didn't understand what the charge was and disputed it by mistake. If they are able to reverse the dispute any negative JCoins are automatically removed from your account, putting back to exactly the same status it was in beforehand.

So basically, I can either tell ATT (my phone company) to re-authorize the charges and Boku (SMS PIN System Jagex uses) that they have been fixed/resent and this HOPEFULLY should fix everything. I plan on getting this done later today (2AM Saturday Currently) and leaving all updates etc about what's gong on in this post.

IF that does not work, I'm going to have to pay out of the ass about $15-$20 (BULLSHIT JAGEX) to buy 'JCoins' to get all of your accounts unlocked, and I REALLY hope I can avoid this scenario…..

So I thank everyone for trying to stay calm and understanding, and once again I can't apologize enough for your fear, anger, and lost membership time/account I know it really really sucks… A LOT!


Please periodically check on this post (not new posts, but THIS ONE) for edits/updates/etc on what's going on. All of your accounts FOR SURE will be paid off and unlocked FOR SURE by me, no matter what cost it is, because I (my parents) dun goofed, and the fault is all mine.

Also, I sent a mail to jagex before I knew what was going on.
They basically told me the same thing you said, they also said how it could be resolved, which might help. I quote jagex:

So I plan visit a game stop, rite aid, etc and just buy a bunch of $20 game cards, tell each of you the PIN on them, and that SHOULD work instantly and free up all of your accounts!

Send one last email out today and try to haggle a lower price, but it's not looking too great. Billing Support is pretty fast/nice but we all know $20 is way to much for a $7 debt….

Just started logging recently.

I should have most/all effected people on log.
