MSI Alcher (SCRIPT_ALCHER)

Yeah, you read right, MSI now has an Alcher (in Beta stages of course). I was able to finish it off tonight after have done a little testing. Here's basically everything you need to know about the current Alcher.
  • I have only tested with Low Level Alchemy. This is because I don't have an account with high enough magic. If someone could lend me an account that has a lot of nature runes I can use up, I can test further, otherwise give as much feedback as possible. :)
  • By default, it will cast High Level Alchemy. If you want it to cast Low Alchemy, just tell it to do so in DeclarePlayers. :)
  • It will print the progress report every 50 casts. If you wish for this number to change, open up Magic.simba and change the CASTS_BEFORE_REPORT constant to whatever you wish.
  • It will automatically detect a Fire staff. If you have it in your inventory, it will equip it.
  • It will calculate how many casts you can make depending on the amount of fire and nature runes in your inventory (if you have a staff, it forgets about the fire runes).
  • It will drag your items to the ideal inventory slot for high or low alching.
  • You must specify the inventory slots that hold the items you want to alch (see how to setup later in this list).
  • It will alch until it can't alch anymore (no items, no runes, or it fails).
  • It is 100% color as of right now. Reflection is not required.
  • Bugs
  • Just a couple things I noticed:
    • If you decide to alch in a big crowd of people, the IsAlching function may return a false positive, so you should avoid crowded areas. It will be like this until we can implement reflection.
    • For whatever reason, SRL's Cast function seems to mouse over the 'filter' buttons at the bottom of the Spell interface before casting the spell. We'll have to look into this later.
  • Setup
  • Just like other scripts, it has specific things that can be filled out.

    with Scripts[0] do
    begin
    Name := SCRIPT_ALCHER;
    AlchSlots := [1, 2, 3, 4]; // If you have different items you want to alch and they are in the first four inventory slots
    end;
    That will High Alch the first 4 items in your inventory. If you want to Low Alch:

    with Scripts[0] do
    begin
    Name := SCRIPT_ALCHER;
    Spells := [SPELL_ALCH_LOW]
    AlchSlots := [1, 2, 3, 4]; // If you have different items you want to alch and they are in the first four inventory slots
    end;
Please keep in mind that several areas of the include have been changed, and big changes usually come with a few new bugs. Yes, this may include some other skills, but I hope not.

If you have any problems, please post on this thread. If you're having major problems, just revert back a revision until we can get it sorted out. Here's a report from my testing (yes, I know it's really small).

Get a hold of me sometime today. I have an account with 80 something mage and High alching is throwing out of range errors in different spots consistantly.

I might have a bit to check it out before you get on, but if you don't hear anything else from me then I probably didn't. (Got lots of apartments to look at today ;))

That's weird. The only difference is the spell, I'm not sure why it would throw an out of range. I'm going to be away the next two days so won't have time until Sunday. Can you try running it with you setup like this:

with Scripts[0] do
begin
Name := SCRIPT_ALCER;
Spells := [SPELL_ALCH_HIGH];
AlchSlots []; // Still fill this out
end;
I don't know why it would, but the Default spell may be causing it.

That got rid of the out of range, now it just mouses over High alch quickly, debugs "failed to cat high alchemy" then thinks it's alching (I'm the only one around).

I'll take a look into the code this afternoon.

I'll take a look into the code this afternoon.

I just committed a fix for the out of range. I was setting they Casts length in the wrong spot (would only happen when using Default spells). I also fixed a bug where it wouldn't work if you were casting on multiple items (I missed a continue in a loop).

I'm not sure about the other one. Does it drag the item to the right slot though?

I shouldn't think it's alching (unless the High Alch animation is different), I thought the animations were the same, just High alch was longer? You may have to debug the pixel shifts in MSI_IsAlching to see exactly what's going on.

E: Your issue may have something to do with SRL's cast, I'm not sure. We need to look at it regardless to see why it hovers the filter options anyway (if you don't see it, try low alching and you will ;)).

Hmm, at first looking at the code it really seemed to be SRL's Cast function as it had the same outcome when I tested just the function itself.

After changing:

if SInfo.AutoCast then
Result := WaitOption('Cast', 100+Random(100))
else
Result := WaitUpText('Cast', 100+Random(100));
to

if SInfo.AutoCast then
Result := WaitOptionMulti(['Cast', 'ast', 'Cas'], 300+Random(100))
else
Result := WaitUpTextMulti(['Cast', 'ast', 'Cas'], 300+Random(100));

SRL's function, tested alone, works just fine. However, this didn't effect the way it works with MSI at all.

Still digging around a bit more..

Have you tested multiple casts? It may be because there's a box over the filter options after you click the item to alch (once it goes back to the spell interface).

No, I haven't yet.

With the small edit to Magic.scar I posted above, plus changing line 278 to:

AutoCast := ({not} InIntArray(AutoCasts, I));
It works fine. It's hard to explain that one and I don't really have time to attempt it right this minute, but that works if anyone is looking for a quick fix until we get this sorted out.

Also, When it clicks high alch, and then goes back to inventory, if the mouse isn't right on the item (which it sometimes isn't due to the TBox used in SpellAvailable) it will "fail" to alch that time and go back to magic tab.

I'll be back at this when I get back from looking at this apartment, but atleast people can get it to work for now if they would like.

I am confused. Is this script able to take items out of your bank and keep using the spell on them? It says inventory slots in the setup (would that mean you could only alch about 27 items each time you run the script)? I am just confused on how to set this up right… Sorry there is probably an easy explanation but I am missing something here…

Coh3n

2010-11-26 17:41:36

You could only alch 27 different items, not items in total. If you put 3000 Yew Longbows in slot 2, it will alch them all. We did it this way so any item could be alched. Eventually we would like to add bank withdrawing, but we need to figure out the best way to go about it.

Well, here is my code snippet for how I withdraw items… it's a small include that I use.

Basically it uses a function that I made that goes through bank tabs which uses a few adjusted SRL functions which find colors and check the uptext.

{ Banking include...

Functions of the include:

procedure fBankingInitialization(items:integer);
function fWithdrawItem(name:string;uptext:array of string;id,amount,color,color_tolerance,color_number:integer):boolean;

How to use the include:

Initialize by calling the fBankingInitialization procedure with a number of
how many items you will search for.

Use fWithdrawItem function to search through the bank for items...
name: Name of the item ('Iron ore')
uptext : ['ron ore','ron, ore']
id : use same id every time you search for same item
amount: amount of the item you want to take out
color : color of unique feature of an item
color_tolerance: tolerance of colors being found
color_number : amount of colors with tolerance that need to be found

}

var item_search_id,item_search_tab:array of integer;

function fLocateItemEX(var x, y: integer;color,color_tolerance,color_number:integer;area:TBox):Boolean;
var pts: TPointArray;
begin
Result := False;
FindColorsTolerance(pts, color, area.x1, area.y1, area.x2, area.y2, color_tolerance);
Result := Length(pts) >= color_number;
if Result then
MiddleTPAEx(pts, x, y);
end;

function fWithdrawEx(Col, Row, Amount: Integer): Boolean;

This is a very awesome way to train magic then. Great job MSI team!

Where is it clicking? What sort is your spell book on?

Try applying the 2 little changes I posted higher up in this thread.

Actually that will be awesome. There are some changes to Magic.simba we were discussing so hopefully we'll be able to get that done to use your account to test. :)

well i tried to run this alching thing.. i made changes that NDCS wrote here..
ok, ill try to describe how it "works" for me:
1.it clicks on mage tab
2.it moves over high alchemy spell(no idea if it clicks)
3.suddenly it clicks on inventory tab
4.tries to click on the item
5.checks stats tab..

Sounds similar to the way it worked for me before I made any changes. Try it without the changes as well? I haven't heard of anyone else having problems with this in quite some time now.

I run it rather often with no problems.

Yes, and I will do this tomorrow. Somethign has happened to the alcher in the past week or so where it does click the tabs again for whatever reason.

I don't have time to get into it tonight as I need to be getting to bed, but I'll have it fixed tomorrow after work.

Do you update via SVN? Exactly when does it click the tab for you and which tab?

I ran for a little over an hour after I fixed this and the problem never happened since.

Yeah, and it was clicking between the magic tab, inventory tab, and stats tab. It would move the cursor down to the high alch button, but I'm not sure if it actually clicked it. It sounded exactly like the problem you described a few posts up.

post debug? and if your character alched something then it clicked, otherwise it didn't..

And you say you made the changes to the SRL files? have you tried without those changes?

@NCDS: Just check if the spell is active / while on magic tab wait for it to switch itself to the inventory tab.

If RS hasn't changed too much, when u click high/low alch it switches to inventory by itself

I did, it's still just switching between the stats tab, inv tab, and magic tab. Also, it's moving the noted items that are going to be alched to the 16th(?) inventory spot.

It's supposed to do that as most legit players do that so they don't have to move the mouse to click the item to alch it ;)

I've got a few hundred alches I can test with again but it's really working damn good for me. Can you perhaps post you MSI Magic.Simba in an attachment or something?

I know how to alch, the problem is though is that the high alch isn't above the items… Since Jagex changed the magic tab and made the icons larger and now you can scroll the tab, and for me, my high alch button is on the far left above the 17th inventory spot (maybe there's a setting to make it not do this, I don't know).

Posting the file, I hope this is the right one

That's the problem then, I'll get into this right now. My apologies I was unaware there was an update. :redface: Give me just a bit, hopefully it won't take much to fix this.

Edit: NVM, it's only p2p accounts that it's like that on due to the 'Enchant CrossBow Bolt" spell. I'm going to work on it now though. Good thing I just made my account p2p again today :p

Got it finding the spell just fine now, but for some reason it "fails" now every other time. I'm just going to have to debug further to see exactly why it's happening but unfortunately I don't have time to tonight. I've really got to be getting to bed (yet another late night and work at 5 am), but I'll definitely have it fixed tomorrow. :)

I apologize again for the misunderstanding before but now we're on the same page and I'll get it done after work tomorrow, just bare with me.

EDIT: It does it like every other alch when you first start the script, it also does it when it scans for randoms. Been running for 5 minutes, now it does it very rarely, and every time it checks for randoms. "Current GameTab: 28" pops up too.

Now I must be off, wanted to run the script while I was out, oh well :p

chitin

it still does it. and i tried to update msi it says no update.
my msi is the one that came with .96 ….updated it once after that there were no updates.
ironically no where in the top of the msi script nor the layout upon compiling does it have a section for version number, date, or credits? …

it appears to be a delay due to computer failure….by which i mean my pc sucks so it takes time for it to process the alch…not to mention im in the ge. easily fixed by minimizing smart. u can HEAR the speed of the alching increase due to less gpu usage…sad i know..

well maybe not due to gpu usuage but the point is it works..-.- ….

and i just exited simba and restarted it and tried to update everything to double check…

EDIT: FIXED . thanks.

well still on occasion it will go inv tab..but im'a assume thats antiban..

Yeah, I added AntiBan to alching last week as I do it when I alch quite frequently, but it shouldn't happen too often.

If the general consensus is that it shouldn't be there I will remove it. I just coded to how I play (not very often by the way).

If you guys think it happens too often, just increase the Antiban Wait in the form. By default it's at 15000 (15 seconds). Increase it to whatever you want and it will wait a minimum of that long to antiban again.

But it is working well for you guys again?

nah its all good. not maxed efficiency but 1k alchs/hr satisfies me. there are only 2 things msi could use a touch up on which would make it better..

1: the login procedure is without fail safes and the world choosing takes forever…a small price to pay but im just sayin'.

for instance if it mistypes user or pass…it just fails…doesn't even retry…

2: the break time i dont want to break for 1 min i want to log out n back in…assuming its just multiplying i guess i could just put in a zero…. but what really bothers me is it says go to lobby or logout… kinda want it to only log out…so an option would be nice…

even though this is more of a suggestive topic ima leave it in here as part of this post contains relevance to alching…and NCDS is bound to take a gander.

ps:this is completely on the whatever side i dont really care but as far as my ocd goes…u know when u press MSI>RUN….
it should give the forms while having simba mini to tray…aka seperate window…

edit:pps: oh not a big deal …bigger than previous: when i click disable smart 90% of the time it locks up keyboard. i can use mouse but i cant type…

once more thing….during logon have it checked if it logged out -.- ….it once typed my user into chat in ge lol. now obviously it does check before but i mean recheck 1 more time in the middle of the typing that way u can be sure…i know thats a bit srl area but just sayin..

Both in SRL, nothing to do with MSI. Also, it does retry, or 3 minutes. It's always done this for me.

Have you tried setting human breaking to false? Pretty sure that will just logout.

Was this right after you disabled SMART? If so, you need to pause the script before you disable it.

I just went through all the change logs from now, back to when it was apparently working. There's NOTHING changed in Magic.simba, and the only changes I could find that could effect the script is the addition of MSI_FindRandoms to WaitWhileAnimating (which were reversed). I someone would like to give me an account that I can test with that would be great. :)

That's why I added the randoms call in WaitWhileAnimating, but that caused the inventory clicking. Guess we'll have to look in MSI_Alch and call findRandoms in the right spot. Does it still click the invnetory for you?

It just kept on alching yh, it wasnt in the examining inventory loop which i also got sometime.

Today i got the beehive, and it logged out. Didnt see exactly what happened because i fell asleep during the movie :D

I also had a few bugs with getting into the world and logging in. I fixed the logging in myself by making 2 players; smart didnt fully load yet when the script already tried to log in the first one. But when it logged in, it wouldnt choose a world, so i have to click to get in one.

For the rest, keep up the good work, its a great script :D

So it only clicked the inventory sometimes? We're going to have to find away around that so it never clicks it while alching.

I'm not sure why it didn't wait until SMART was loaded, but again, disable world switching in the first tab of the form and it will just login to whichever is the default world.

If it still says "Scanning for randoms…" then that's a problem with the solvers not detecting the randoms, which isn't in MSI.

I never really thought of anyone alching arrows before, that's got to be an awful loss I would imagine.

I'll have to do some brainstorming and see what I can come up with. It shouldn't click the Inv without clicking to cast the spell first anyways, though.

No profit but kinda cheap exp. It does it about after 150-200 spell.

Rune arrows are atm kinda cheap (210gp) and high alchems for 306gp so its only about 65gp loss per spell. Not bad IMO if maple bows etc. is about -85gp per spell.

I know it shouldn't but it might be caused about a tiny lagg or something.

Maybe a custom antiban for magic is needed? Antiban that only moves the camera angle and mouse rather than clicking tabs.

Idk about this… I'd rather not have too many skill specific stuff inside other files than those in /skills/

I suppose we could add "ANTIBAN_CHANCE := ANTIBAN_CHANCE div 2;" to setupmagic, and make ANTIBAN_CHANCE a variable?

Or add AntiBanMethod to TScriptSetup and have it point to whatever AntiBan. Or could even have a condition inside MSI_AntiBan to check If InIntArray(MSI_Players[..]..[..].Script, ArrayOfScriptsForDifferentAntiBan).

Just a couple thoughts.

Edit:
Check my repo for changes to Alching. Randoms and AntiBan seem to fit much better now.
Also, I ran this alching 5k bolts and never experienced the problem of having the script equip them, so I'm not really sure what's going on with that.

The alching is slow tbh, but using it for 80 mage

What's slow about it, like does it do anything such as anytban to make it slow?

I was getting about 1k-1.3k/hour with this script, try doing less antiban and less antirandoms.

Was this recent? I know there was some updates to alching a few weeks ago.

It was Anti-Ban + when it waits for the animation to finish

So it waits for the animation to finish the it alches, i reckon a timer would be better

Not really, you can look at my other proggies posted, the last one was about 1.2k/hour in March..

The thing about a timer is that it doesn't compensate for lag. I'll see what I can do if I get some extra time. You can also try messing with the waitWhileAlching procedure (in Magic.simba I think) if you wanted.

The problem with it is that everything was switched to animations, which means that the alching proc will wait until the animation has finished before clicking to alch again.

I've been meaning to make this depend on the current tab as well as animation for a while now, I just haven't had a chance. Perhaps I can do that quick today though, it should speed things up pretty well.

Edit: Committed my edits to speed things up. Check the main repo.
