[PROGGY] tags?

EvilChicken!

2010-08-18 22:29:07

In my opinion, it would be an improvement for the better to add [PROGGY] tags to the forum, so that progress reports could be correctly displayed in posts. It's always annoyed me seeing the spacing being messed up when people post progress reports in Quote tags, especially reports that are in some sort of box-ish design.

Basically, [PROGGY] tags would be like [PHP] tags without the funky colors. And, nobody uses PHP tags in association with progress reports anyway, something which increases the value of this addition.

And if possible, a button and/or hotkey in the advanced edit box to go along with the tags would be really nice.

Opinions?

Sounds great, why not add it xD, Progress Report tags should be a great addition to the site =]. Beautiful Suggestion.

Sounds good, (but I don't have access enough to implement it).

Are any of the tags monospaced?

It might be my ignorance or misunderstanding, but the ones who do not use Courier New are all non-monospace, as far as I understood the meaning of the word. Which again leads me to the PHP tag to being the only tag that is monospaced.

An additional nice thing about this would also be that we could now publicly tell people to always post proggress reports in a specific tag, rather than individually try to correct people the way we see fit, this especially regarding script authors on their script's threads.

I support, this would be nice :D

It's annoying seeing proggies in PHP, or SCAR tags, because it changes colours with the layouts some people use. Call me a perfectionist, but that really winds me up :p So I likey.

Yep, and while we're at it, monospaced Simba tags would also be nice. If I had any clue how, I would have tried a long time ago. :p

I could probably do this if I just had the files of current SCAR tags.

Working on it. It's basically a "monospace wrapper", so you can still format it with colors and links :)

Used like:
or

and close with (without the space).

Simba tags should be fairly straight forward, copy the PHP from the SCAR tags, and modify the colours.
