If he was selling gold, it wasn't off the accounts that everyone lost money on (he'd have to make money to pay everyone from somewhere, right?). Plus, I don't think he was selling gold. Claw said that his status continued to say he was selling gold, and that he'd updated it very recently, but I'm inclined to doubt the latter part. I'm not saying Claw was lying, but I'm guessing that Claw didn't correctly estimate the time of the status update. If my assumption is correct (which we'll never know, I guess), it renders Jad's status meaningless, because he could have simply not bothered to change it.
I'm not sure where you see the refusal of contact even though they were both online. And lastly, I think the thread leads the Claw's losses not being JAD's fault (I'm assuming Claw acknowledges this, since he said he doesn't care about it after I pointed out that if he had followed JAD's advice he wouldn't have lost anything).
He did update his status, he was on MSN mobile though. Changed his price from $3 to $2.75 per mill, or the other way around, cant remember. This was during the time between the crash and him ignoring my attempts to communicate through PM, MSN, and SSRL forums - my point here is that he was online at least once, also evidenced by the fact he had logged on to my account and cancelled some GE buying offers for chocolate bars (shows he knew they crashed, or that he had finished dumping on me/others), but didnt tell me what was happening. Apparantly he told some other people though.
What I meant by saying I didnt care anymore was that I didn't care about trying to convince other people who had misinterpreted the situation (such as yourself, not your fault though..) because theres not really any point as not many people are directly involved and since I know now hes not scamming (when all evidence seemed to point towards saying he was) community pressure won't do anything. Bad idea to take it to public forums now I know the full situation, I was thinking if he was scamming the impact of other people knowing could have on his business/his relationships with people here and so on would change his mind or at least make him see where he went wrong, as hes generally a good guy.
I still blame him for mine and everyone elses losses, as it was completely his fault the merch went bad…And if a merch clan dumps an item on you/your item crashes/whatever, you don't just hold on to that item forever - you get rid of it trying to make as little loss as possible, which is what I did. The whole point of my posts was that he didnt leave any instructions for anyone to follow - he just dissapeared for weeks, leaving us all in the dark and losing money, with no idea if he'd ever be back, or if we'd just gotten scammed, or what, and didnt respond to any attempt to contact him even though it was a fact he had come online at least once. When it would of taken him 20 seconds to type "hey dude im gonna be away for a while, family issues or whatever, so get rid of your chocolate bars asap" which would of completely avoided this whole situation…..
I wouldn't have gone after him like I did if I knew he had a death in the family, him saying "I've got real life issues and its none of your business so butt-out" doesnt cut it - it's aggressive aloof scammer behaviour that we've all seen many times by actual scammers. Especially when that's his response weeks after the event - if he had of said it the day he cancelled the GE offers, it would of been much more believable and I wouldnt of been annoyed because merch's go bad all the time, and I would of profited.
GoF gets it. :p
