S.M.A.R.T and Reflection Info for N00bs!
What is S.M.A.R.T?
S.M.A.R.T (meaning SCAR Minimizing Autoing Resource Tool) is a bot made by BenLand100 to let us SCAR users minimize SCAR whilst we are autoing. This allows us to use our mouse and keyboard on our Desktops while autoing! It has been made in C++ and imported into SCAR via a plugin called Embedded_SMART.dll
How do I download S.M.A.R.T?
S.M.A.R.T is already included in the SRL download files. When you download SRL from the official SvN, you will download S.M.A.R.T with it as well!
How do I use S.M.A.R.T?
SCAR Scripters must put certain code into their script to allow you to auto with S.M.A.R.T. If the script says it is a S.M.A.R.T script, you must use S.M.A.R.T to auto. Otherwise, use the usual RuneScape client to auto. There is no option to turn S.M.A.R.T on and off! It is the scripters choice if he makes a script S.M.A.R.T compatible.
What is Reflection?
Reflection is the ability to read advanced data from the RuneScape client. It means that we can check our health without switching to the health tab, get our global position on the world, find an item on the floor, or find an NPC almost instantly.
What is the difference between S.M.A.R.T and Reflection?
S.M.A.R.T is the client we auto in which loads the RuneScape applet. Reflection is a tool included in S.M.A.R.T to get data from that loaded RuneScape applet.
How do I use Relfection?
If a scripter makes a script with reflection, then S.M.A.R.T will use is automatically in the script. you don't have to do anything to turn reflection on!
If your S.M.A.R.T / Reflection script don't work…
When RuneScape updates, the variables that are used to grab all of the data from the client using reflection are changed. You fix this problem, hooks.ini have to be updated to the latest hooks. Either wait for a new reflection rev to come out which has the latest hooks, or search the forums for the latest hooks.
If S.M.A.R.T crashes, and SCAR closes whilst loading S.M.A.R.T, then your worlds data is incorrect. You have to update worlds.ini to correct this problem.
If you think your hooks are the latest but your script is going mad, either you don't have the correct hooks, or the script is broken.
