http://www.puzzlepirates.com/
just click play, download the game.
make a character and when u are in the game,
click on "notice board", then missions,
and then "bilge with the navy" or "learn how to bilge"

More infos about the bilge puzzle:

Whats the chances of it being detected?

I would suggest looking into DDTM's as it would allow you to easily construct them and shorten the code a lot. Also, you don't need all the "Result := False"'s as Scar automatically sets them to False on call, so unless you set the result to true, it will stay false. Otherwise, it looks fairly promising and a shame I don't have Puzzle Pirates installed… or a character…

oh, lol, nice that u test my script. haha. After 2 months i just 'reanimate' this 'project'.
I dont know why do u have this problem, but dont mind.
I've created a better version, it bases on the bilge script, which was published by another guy of these forums, dont know his name :P

But here it is, try it

P.S: I was working on a script for the gunning puzzle, too. Maybe i will reanimate this script, too. we will see…
(I publish a version… buts its very buggy and cant be used, maybe, there is one, who would like to change it)
P.P.S: If u have Problems with the script, while its running (like it keeps clicking on one point, move ur mouse, maybe the problem will disappear), If it still keep clicking on the left top corner, u need to adjust the colors. Just comment out all procedure in the main loop ( + 'repeat' and 'until…'), but not 'LoadBoard'), in the LoadBoard-procedure u have to undo the comment out things… (man, my english rly sucks :D). After that, start the script, while playing the bilge puzzle. Now, u will see that in the scar windows appears some numbers (like 1,1:…, 2,2:….) the first numbers show the row and the second the column (so, "1,4:…" means: row 1, column 4) the numbers after the ':' mean the color value. Just replace the values with the color values in the LoadBoard procedure. (the first value stands for above the water and the second stands for under the water).

EDIT: ah, about the "Whats the chances of it being detected?"-Question: 'till now, i never was detected. But i think its really hard to detect, it just makes the same things like human would do, but without mistakes and with a constant speed (yeah, sometimes it reaches the 'incredible' status :) )

yeah, i meant this script :) yea, i should credit him. (A big SORRY to masquerader, but i never was thinking about to publish it)

Enjoy it :)

you won

Ice evil Maybe you should make a whole script?…Like trying to earn Poe.going on boats doing gunning,sword fighting(nub style :P),and even receiving the loot,that will be just great dude.

BTW,i don't think puzzle pirates has a macro detection system? no body uses macro's on that game,everyone pokers to the riches.

Yeah, when i have time to make a whole bot script ;) (in some weeks or months, sry about that..)

the gunning script is just for some guys who wants to fix the bug (i dont find it)
i think it has to do with mouseclick or sth like that

@Zlaaterfizh what happens when u start the bilge script?

1. download and install Scar http://freddy1990.com/scar.php
2. double-click on my scar-script
3. start puzzle pirates, logon and start a bilge puzzle
4. (in scar) click on the cross hair symbol and drag it to the puzzle pirate window
5. Now click on the green arrow in scar ("Run Script")
It should be work.
If not, u have to install srl

for them with the color failure (cursor just click at one point)
maybe this text help u:
u need to calibrate the colors.
i dont know why, maybe many desktops using different color values….

in line 48 is a out commented line
delete the "//"
and then comment out line 875, 876 and 878 to 897
now start the script normal (start the bilge puzzle and then start the script)
make a picture of the bilgepuzzle (to prevent, that it will change)
in scar-programm-window ( bottom, left) u will see some numbers, like "1,2:134432535"
the first number is the row and the secound one is the column
now, u just have to copy the values for each tile in the lines 26 to 44.

example:
u got the number 12345678 from row 1, column 1 ( "1,1: 12345678" )
and u see at the picture a fish.
now u enter the value (in this case "12345678") in line 44
(the lines are named, which one the jelly fish is)
so: "if(color = 12345678) or (color = 11952486) then"
the first number is for the jelly fish, which is over water and secound number is the for the jelly fish under water.

Foraging came out, hope you can do what you can =]
Altho its a lot more troublesome because of the amount of different blocks.. So TH would be easier but also would be harder to get since you gotta be on a SMH

Edit: Ulti on Forage within 1-2hours

first post etc.

I've been playing PP for about a year and am fed up of bilging, however i still need to do it from time to time but would like to automate the process without losing my illustrious standing.

I have been playing around with Iceevil's script and got it to work after changing the color values and i'd like to learn more about SCAR by applying it to something i already know about.

I'd like to work on making the script recognise larger combo's, moving peices without clearing to build large combo's and clearing crabs quicker but first i was wondering if someone could start me off by telling me what i could do to stop the script from repeatedly clicking the same two identical peices.

i know i need something that states if the block in one colum matches the block in the next column on the same row not to click on it.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks.

Sorry I should of made myself clear, my Experience is Illustrious and my standing is Ultimate. I dont want to lose my Ultimate standing as the script was only getting poor to good on duty reports and I want to focus my time and brainpower on navigation and gunning.

Experience(how long you have done the puzzle);

* Novice
* Neophyte
* Apprentice
* Narrow
* Broad
* Solid
* Weighty
* Expert
* Paragon
* Illustrious
* Sublime

Standing(how good you are);

* Able
* Distinguished
* Respected
* Master
* Renowned
* Grand-Master
* Legendary
* Ultimate

I have made a few modifications to the script which has resulted in good to excellent duty reports, firstly a fish finder that locates any fish above the 9th row that is not within 1 block of a crab if the water line is on or above it. Secondly I made it recognise when the board clears so that it waits for it to reload before making another move to which has made quite a difference on wasted moves. Im now working on making the script not click repeatedly on two identical blocks or move blocks that dont need to be moved as this affects performance.

thanks for your help.

I've decided to re-write most of the script and will post it in a seperate thread in a few days, my parents are away so its party time for now.

The fish finder was easy, for row 0-8 if color = fish above water and R-1 C-1/C/C+1 != crab then begin (that makes sure to only click a fish thats just above water line if there are no crabs below it that havent cleared) if color = fish below water and surrounding blocks != crab then begin. This makes sure that if the water line is on or higher than the fish thats above row 8 it checks all surrounding blocks for crabs.. sorry for my pig code english but you should get the idea.

E: For checking to see if the board was clearing and reloading, i added a couple of background colours that are not present in the blocks, and if detected it waits 2000 then starts again, this unintentionally made it pause after clears too which also helped to bring down unnessesary moves.

I used to play that game quite a lot and heres a couple of pointers for that bilge script.

there two directions you could take it:
1. make clear every move, this will guarantee a fine
2. sea donkeys

guandi

2008-09-15 09:37:35

I've decied to start at SeaDonkey and work backwards. not sure how i will accomplish this yet, as i have to get it to build the combo and without accidentally clearing peices needed.

Best possible combo would be…

If Row >2 and <11 = 3*A + 3*B and Row +1 = 1*A +1*B and Row +2 = 1*A + 1*B and Row -1 = 1*A + 1*B and Row -2 = 1*A + 1*B then Begin.

I have to learn how to get it to move these peices so that they make the following…

AB
AB
AABABB
AB
AB

before switching the central A/B.

And if that cant be done within so many moves, to go for the next best option all the way down to a move that scores better than clearing a crab, then clearing crabs with fish, then crabs by moves, then fish to reorder board, then moves down to 3*3 and then single lines of blocks from 5 to 3.

This is gonna be hard… lol.

You don't have to get a perfect sea donkey everytime, something like this will do

AB
AABABB
AB

the verticals only need to be as long as 3, that will get the score very high and is much EASIER to make.

Look on youtube for bilging ults, some of those use this process and will teach you efficiently.

Please look at this thread and do me a huge favor…. I was running two virtual machines and I was using the first script posted in this thread for bilging, I just touched it up a bit to make it never move two blocks back and forth. I had two accounts both with Illustrious standings and they both got banned when I got home from school. It worked for a few weeks but somehow they caught me… no idea how. But I do have a feeling they only caught one of my accounts and then banned all accounts associated with my computer or IP address because an account that I never used before was also banned. and yes it was for botting "botting is strictly against the terms of service." So I ask you for your help once again… plz bail me out and look at the thread here :)
and if you plan to use these scripts… beware because YPP probably has enough macro detection to notice the scar scripts posted here.

I don't think Puzzle Pirates has very advanced macro detection, if any - it's not a big issue.
One thing I noticed - you could probably use colour finding instead of DTM finding, and it would be faster. (Colours are constant in Y!PP.).
I'd be interested in helping out if you want to make another script for YPP… maybe Foraging or something, I doubt any of the other puzzles could be solved well with SCAR.

I'm actually trying to do it right now but I don't understand this code very well.

Adding 2move 3x3s and adding 4x4s 3x4s and the others like in this movement

…[]()
…..[]
[][]()[]

move one

…()[]
…..[]
[][]()[]

and the second move

…()[]
…..[]
[][][]()

BOOM 3x3

get the idea?

Buzzyboy

2008-12-04 07:47:22

Wouldn't you have a better bot if you just made something sort of like

bestMove(int[][] board) {
int[][] boardPoints=new int[6][12];
for(x=0;x<6){
for(y=0;y<12){
boardPoints[x][y]+=VerticleMovePoints(board,x,y)
}}
//Than from here you just find the location with the most points and return it's x and y location
return x,y,points//returns the x y of the best move (and the points it gives)
}
mix it in with a little
VerticleMovePoints(int[][] BOARD,int x,int y) {//x and y of the piece to check for vertical (if clicked) (also should get one for horizontal moves)
int totalPoints=0;
//returns an int if it is a vertical line such as...
if({insert if equation for 3 line}) {
//()
//[]()
//()
totalPoints++;
}if({insert another if equation for 3 line in different way}) {
//()
//()
//[]()
totalPoints++;
}
return totalPoints;
}

As you can clearly see that's not a real script, just a general idea for a better bilging bot.

If you really wanted to make it effective, you could predict the BestMove() if you click somewhere. such as. Just make a swap function (that doesn't actually swap it, just returns a board[][] that if you did swap those pieces) that can predict pieces falling and crabs dissapearing for the possibility if you did switch it.

for(int x=0;x<6;x++) {
for(int y=0;y<12;y++) {
if(bestMove(swap(board,x,y)>bestMove(board)) {
//than use this, or you could go for a third loop of it.
}
}}

I'm more than willing to explain into more detail into my theory, since they just came out of the top of my head so they might seem a little boggy to you guys.

P.P.S: If u have Problems with the script, while its running (like it keeps clicking on one point, move ur mouse, maybe the problem will disappear), If it still keep clicking on the left top corner, u need to adjust the colors. Just comment out all procedure in the main loop ( + 'repeat' and 'until…'), but not 'LoadBoard'), in the LoadBoard-procedure u have to undo the comment out things… (man, my english rly sucks ).

What are all those random letters in it for?

Iceevil

i will make a new thread for new script versions ;)

edit: eh, im too lazy to make a new thread….

AFTER STARTING THE SCRIPT U HAVE TO CLICK d!!!

Bilging
http://rapidshare.com/files/177283427/bilging.scar
Just fixed that colorvalue bug, should now work for all…
Im making a fully new bilge script with recursion

Good work! The Bilging script works fine for me, but it only does well if I get some sparkles going before turning it on. Or, you know, leave it to work for a really long time. Looking forward to seeing your next version.

The gunning script is way too demanding for the machine on which I run puzzle pirates - cpu spikes to 99 every so often and the PP window freezes, which plays havoc with the script. Though from what I've seen of the scripts frantic attempts to work around my dying hardware it seems to be doing all the right things.

Ive got a few incredibles with the gunning one.. its really quick.. but i have to keep stopping and restarting the script every now and then otherwise it just does nothing and then my standing goes back down to respected from legendary grr…

2009-01-06 21:55:32

Umm its not impossible just would take alot of time since there are so many types of holes that you have to fill…

Cederic

2009-01-07 00:38:53

I believe a lot of people are saying various puzzles are impossible to bot simply because they lack the programming skill or imagination to think recursively. I am not a very good programmer myself, but I do have a lot of imagination when it comes to efficient puzzle solving like this. Hence I am one of the ones who can claim that there is not a single puzzle in the game that is impossible to bot - although some are clearly more difficult than others, to the point of probably not being worth the effort.

Now if you google 'pentomino solver' you will see that carpentry is just a pentomino solver with some guessing and error handling built in. If your bot uses all four holes equally it will never have to worry about losing pieces or expanding holes.

I believe the easiest puzzles to bot in this game are bilging and ironmongering. Which one that is easier is hard to say - bilging takes around 100-200 lines of code or so, but I have a feeling ironmongering could take even less. As for the hardest… Apothecary.

As for which bot would be most profitable… Ironmongering or Shipwrightery. Granted I can pull in about 30K PoE in a day with a bilging bot and some good SMH or Flotillas, but the computer needs to be on all the time and I can't use it for anything else. Most days I end up just clearing a few thousand.

Now, with a labour badge and a good job and a bot that can do expert labour in ironmongering or shipwrightery… you are looking at about 19K a month per character on a doubloon ocean… This means 172K PoE a month (or roughly 5.7K PoE per day) for the full possible allotment of three accounts a three characters… More if you are willing to cheat a bit… And all you have to do is log on once a week and run your bot ONCE per character, and make sure you have the best possible employment.

Now, I make bots because I like the challenge. If anyone out there is making them because they like the PoE… then labour is the easy and efficient way to go. Of course, PoE sells for real money as well in some seedy market somewhere, so some industrial people somewhere are probably doing the same - only for real money.

Ice the gunning script doesn't really work for me. It usally loads 2 cannons and trys for the third and just stops working then when i try to manually load it the script starts up again but stops before it loads a piece. Any suggestions? Also great job on all the scripting! If you need any help on how the get vegas, seadonkeys and bingos just say so.

P.S. Efficiency is the key to Bilging heres the combos and move or less it should take.
COMBO 133% 100%

3 0.75 1
4 1.25 1.667
5 1.75 2.333
3x3 3 4
3x4 4 5.333
3x5 5 6.667
4x4 5 6.667

can we make the gunning script load prioritize on loading one cannon then go back dismiss and so on?? Load one cannon and go out and bomeback load another makes it simpler and safer plus its definitely would make incredibles.. loading all four cannons makes it complicated but loading one but fast should do increds.. you think??

the gunning gets me incrd very single time but i gotta watch it and stuff since is got bugs on it and cant be left over night like the bilge :( also it cant be used for pillys either since it only loads 3 cannons then leaves etc but is still aamzing m8 gets u ult in 45 mins max got me it anyways :) btw i got a very fast comp so tht may alos affect it coz if you lag then the gunning script will also lag which will mess up your script. :)

As I see it, they should put in more "anti-bot" or strenghten their security rather than pin point their faults or poor security to you and not blame it on specific person. You didn't hacked their client and so it doesnt violate anything.. We are very much pleased and impressed with your work and I hope this wont stop you from making more wizardry..

Here is the email in english.
It isnt a real translation, but its a statement of Three Rings about bots and hacks.

Ahoy,

Three Rings is the maker of the online game Puzzle Pirates.

This letter is intended as a statement of Three Rings policy in regards to the
development and deployment of exploits intended for use with our game.

Puzzle Pirates is a social game. Building and maintaining the trust of our
community is our most important goal as a company.

Recently, we have become aware that several individuals have begun working on
projects that directly and negatively affect our community. The creation of
tools that distort and/or manipulate the performance of the game, or of
players in the game, erodes player trust and enjoyment of the game and is
something that we regard as a direct threat to its health and continued
viability.

As such, we are obliged to protect the game from the application of these
tools. We intend to do so in the following ways:

-Banning: We will remove individuals identified as using such tools from the
game

-Provider Coordination: We will coordinate with ISPs and other access
providers in our efforts to prevent the deployment of these tools.

-Cybercrime: Insofar as these tools are connecting to our game across the
internet with intent to deceive and/or exploit the normal functioning of the
game, an internet service, we will seek legal recourse in the home
jurisdiction of the individual developing the tool.

Each of these steps represents an increasing level of investment on our part.
We would, of course, prefer to avoid such actions. But we feel obliged to act
to protect the players who genuinely enjoy Puzzle Pirates and do not resort to
"hacks" and "bots".

As a company, we are very much committed to encouraging the development of
engineering talent around the world and absolutely welcome input and
contributions to the game and game community from talented individuals.

Given this, we invite those individuals currently involved in destructive and
malicious activities to consider other, more positive ways, to enjoy Puzzle
Pirates and it's community. We would welcome such contributions as an
alternative to the legal actions we will otherwise be obliged to take.

Hey Ice,

This is the same type of thing that Sony did with Everquest and what is done with WoW every now and then. Its just a scare tactic. As long as you are not tampering with their servers or directly altering the client, they can't do anything to you.

You can dig up some of the post from EQ or WoW and see what I'm talking about. Both of those companies now have a team of developers to counter the hacks and work-arounds that players found. The reason they did that was because you can't sue someone for making a bot or an auto that doesn't directly attack or alter the server or client.

Now they CAN and WILL ban people who use the bots and autos just like a casino can ban players who count cards. However, they can't sue you or call the police on you. In fact, the police would probably laugh if the subject was even presented to them. They have real crimes to deal with.

I understand you're kinda unnerved by the email. But … if they didn't send it to your PERSONAL email address or to your HOME in a the form of a letter … then they don't even know who you are!! LOL!! They just think the words "Lawyer," "Sue," and "Police" will solve their issues.

In another example … look at all the mods done to cell phones and the unlocking software that developers have made. You don't see them getting hauled into court or going to jail. The reason? Because while the companies don't like it … there's no law against it. Just like there's no law against making a bot to do your play so your fingers can rest. Simple as that.

The MMOGlider case is irrelevant to this form of scripting. They basically charged him with copyright violated because it used to be called WoWGlider… and also they managed to convice the judge that it was somehow against the law to copy the information that wow had stored in memory. Oh, and he charged $20 a license for his bot.

Since the bilgebot does not directly access the puzzle pirates memoryspace, nor use the name puzzle pirates in a marketing attempt, nor make money from any of this - it is legally solid. Trust me - I am not a lawyer. :P

Edit:———
Although in addition I might mention you shouldn't trust anyone but yourself, lawyer or not. I have gotten a few of those letters from various game companies in my days, but nothing has never come of it for me… Since I never distribute my bots they can not even begin to build a case against me.

Oh, and since I like the challenge of botting rather than the result I occasionally send a copy of my bots to the developers. Wouldn't be much of a challenge if they didn't know what to look for…

That is exactly what I was saying. The bilge bot and gunning bots don't use any of software for Pirates, nor does it pull from the server. It simply replaces human fingers doing repeat manuvers. (Basically …) And since it is open source and not for profit … they can't touch you. The WORSE that can happen is you get banned for life from the game. And … honestly … all these companies want money so all you do is set up an additional account and use a different credit card.

But … fear is a great motivation device. So … in the end … it is up to you.

You make the script you choose one of us who arent afraid to take the blame and we post it. So therefore they cant blame you anymore and you can continue publishing macros.

please release the one you were working on even if you dont plan on working on it anymore

i need to get ultimate and your current one wont get me above legendary

Cederic

2009-01-18 03:20:01

Hehe, you people crack me up. Of course he shouldn't release anything more. It is up to him if he wants to continue creating bots or not, and no amount of whining on your part is going to make his choice easier to make. The world is bigger then your needs for a bot, people… Iceevil has to put his own best interests first regardless of how much anyone has "looked into it" and found it to be safe.

Oh, and to those of you who gets banned for botting… Imagine seeing someone playing football for 19 hours straight and achieving great to awesome performance consistently through that playtime, without ever getting tired, having a break, and so on. Would you think that it was real or that maybe somehow someone was cheating?

Remember, every click you make on the screen, every duty report you get, every minute you play - they know. If your bot does not behave like YOU - taking breaks, performing as well or bad as you do, having the occasional fudge up in the brain pan…. Well, they have automated functions that flag your account for a checkup if you behave unnaturally. If you leave a bilgebot on over night - on times you never played before at a skill level you have never achieved before… Good luck with that.

The perfect bot is built to mimic your playstyle, and then if you want to get better stats to very gradually improve over a long time to the point where you look just like any other player who is slowly learning a particular game. Since bots are typically nowhere near that behaviour it is up to us users to use the bot only in a pattern and situations similar to what we would normally play.

ebk forever

2009-01-18 05:10:30

Bots are used at the risk of getting banned. It's not possible to make a full proof bot because a computer can not act human-like. But it is a choice by the person that uses it whether they use it or not.

and also, if a company could sue someone for something like this then there would be no SCAR or RSBot, and Three Rings does not have a very strong anti-bot system.

This is merely an empty threat.

mazo1

2009-01-18 05:53:00

hmm i never knew bots were illegal the only illegal programmes i know is pasword cracker and some other ones but for gaming idk iceevil i dont think is tht big of a deal there probly scareing you to stop makeing these scripts :)

Cederic

2009-01-18 07:03:35

Of course it is a scare tactic - that doesn't mean they can not make it very uncomfortable for him if they try. The fact that he has done nothing illegal does not stop him from getting sued, nor does it stop them from contacting his ISP and trying to get him disconnected from the internet. It happens. They don't have to play fair, they just have to follow the law - and that means the guy with the most money wins.

Sure, the risk of them spending the money needed for a large action lawsuit on someone that has not made a penny on their bot is very small - I would go as far as to say you are more likely to get hit by a meteor while typing then you are to get sued for it. But for the same reason people wear seatbelts when riding cars it is a good idea to use safety precautions… Like, don't publish your work. Or if you really want to, then make sure there is NO way to track it to you.

Use anonymous email addresses, proxies and/or things like tor. For forum talk, I mean, not playing the games.

If you've done that then it doesn't really matter if they can sue you or not, because they can not find you.

mazo1

Enough to know I don't know enough? How do you quantify something like that?

Besides, programming knowledge is really not needed to get started with something like this, you pick it up on the way. When you need to do something, just look for examples on the internet that does similar things, copy their functions and change it until it makes sense.

Anyone with at least average intelligence should be able to use Scar to write a bilgebot of their own easily, but few people have the patience and would rather hassle others to do it for them.

I made my own bilgebot (not with Scar) for myself, inspired by the work of iceevil and other programmers, and I expect anyone else who would want one should do the same. But like I previously said, bilge is not the best puzzle to bot for profitability.

Hmm.. Ok, I have a reasonable amount of programming knowledge, but I have no knowledge of SCAR since I have not had enough time to learn it. I will probably end up learning it sometime in the future. May I ask what language that you made it in? is it Java?

What would be the best bot for profit? anyway thats besides the point I don't bot for money. I was looking a pentomino or whatever it was on youtube. Its got the same shapes as the carpentry but its got many differences such as the borders. It is remarkably similar.

But it wont work for PP, it needs to be modified.

The only thing I've done in Scar is really modifying Iceevils script for more human play. Other than that I have botted in autoit, which I have had an easier time grasping (probably because I have programmed in languages with similar syntax before). The main benefit of autoit over scar is being able to compile a standalone exe file. This helps a lot to avoid detection by extreme anti-botting measures like WoWs warden.

The best bots for profit would be any of the labour puzzles, like I described in the post you originally quoted. This is because labour happens in the background without you actually working at it, while pillaging is something that will need constant attention by your bot. If you bot at blacksmithing then you just run your bot until you are renowned and then you just run it for about a minute or five once a week. that's it. Get a job with good pay, keep an eye on it so they have orders in regularly, and sit back and watch the money roll in. Then just repeat that with as many accounts and characters as you want. This means with a few hours botting (total) a week, you can make more poe than with a few hours botting a day. And you can still play your character while he is making money - or even if you are really greedy bot him on a SMH or Flot at the same time.

Me personally I bot for the challenge of it. I like the planning and thinking that goes behind it, the tweaking to make the bot "just good enough" so it won't get detected. The setting up of proxies and alt accounts and delivery chains of money. Since 3O have complete control over everything in the game and have logs over every move of every single poe on the ocean you have to make every transaction look natural once you really get into it and start moving money around. You could argue that I'm not even playing the same game as the other players, since I enjoy the metagaming so much.

As for the pentomino solvers - they are a starting point. Some of them allows for random boards, with specific spots that the computer can not use to place pentominos. This means having the bot know a random board has been solved by someone. They recognize all the shapes and know how to place them next to each other. But the main problem that needs to be changed is that a pentomino solver usually brute forces the problem - tries every possible combination until it hits on one that works. A carpentry bot would require some intelligence built in to make predictive guesses based on hole shape and piece availability.

So, far from impossible but quite difficult - I can easily see the general idea of it which means it should be possible, but thinking of putting it in code just gives me a headache. Which is too bad - I hate carpenting and would love to never have to do it again.

Umm what languages can be used in autoit? Umm well labour puzzles pay well if you have high experience but the most you can earn per hour is 50 poe i think. Whilst bilging in the navy sometimes i get more than 150 poe on one trip to an island. depending on how far apart the islands are from each other.

Autoit has some pretty cool syntax.. I was just looking at it just now. I agree carpentry is not impossible but will provide a lot of challenge. Im wondering if you would like to work on some bots with me, for the challenge more than the results, and improvement in coding knowledge.

Im thinking that we could work on a carpentry bot, even progress to a sailing bot and work our way up in difficulty.

I have re-installed like 4 times now…and fixed all the colors but still getting Fine and good's have 1 excellent… before it makes a combo it will move some random piece for no reason then do a combo..then move another random piece and make a combo etc etc.

Autoit uses a proprietary language, I have no idea what it is called, I just picked it up by using it. Not really complicated.

As long as you are on a dubloon ocean labour is definitely the most profitable if you build it to be. If your bot makes constant incredibles you get paid 15 poe per league by the navy - I guesstimate that makes 2K something per 24 hours and your bot has to work ALL the time… On the other hand a labour bot only has to work for half an hour or whatever it takes to get up to renowned, and then you don't have to bot on that character more than 5 minutes a week! Sure, he will only make 1200 poe a day if I use your number of 50 poe per hour, but you can do the same three times per account leading to a total of 3600 poe per account per day.

You can scale this as much as you want - three accounts per IP address, 3 characters per account. Weekly maintenance about 5 minutes per character or 15 minutes per account. That means you can do 9 accounts, make 30600 a day, and only need to spend two-three hours or so a week on it. Meanwhile you can still play the game in any way you want on any one of the characters and make more money - since labour happens in the background. The most you could do with 9 accounts and the navy would be about 18K - and the bot would have to run 9 accounts at the same time every minute of every day and never get anything but incredible…

So, if you do it right then labour can give you approximately 30% more profit at less than 0.005% of the exposure per account. There are other ways to invest your profits and make even more money, but that is not really botting related.

As for working together… thanks for the offer but no thanks. I don't play well with others. :)

Sounds like your computer is too slow. It does not update the Puzzle Pirate screen quick enough and the bot makes the next move before realizing that the board is changing from making the first combo.

Introduce a delay after making the moves, or sample a few background colours and put in some cases that will make it wait a bit longer if it reads background when it expects piece.

Yeah, I'm nucking futs. :)

Look, shoot me a PM instead and we might make arrangements for a chat about what you should do and why, but I don't work with people or program for them. As for why I refer to the paperwork from my shrink. :P

Well i Have 2 GB Memory and 50% space available on my computer…And to the "make a delay" part… I am new to the SCAR program..how do you make a delay after each move?

It is more about the CPU speed than the memory, I believe… Not to mention the older bot was not as good as the newer one that Iceevil removed.

The command to wait is simply wait(1000) or however long you want to wait. As for where it needs to go, sorry, but you get to figure that one out for yourself. :)

Hmm..Well I'm going to try and figure out where I must place it..I'll go over everything..but as I said, this is complex code to me.. We barely just learned Classes and Arrays in my class. It's always easier to learn when you just hand over the code :O

I tried Finding all the Wait(500)'s and replacing them with 1000's but that didnt seem to do much…I also have Set speed running to increase my CPU Speed and that doesnt seem to be working either…Are you able to post a link to the current version you have of the script?

Well, what I usually do when I try to understand code like this is print it out. Then I go through the code section by section (or function by function or whatever they are up to) and try to guess by the general code in that part what the part does… like… finds a shape, clicks a square or whatever. Then I can more easily see the flow of the program in my head. So my tip is don't get too caught up in what every line does, try to see the flow of it, see what the different parts does rather than the lines the parts are built of.

I will not link to the current version, for two reasons - I respect the authors wishes not to publish the script, and I have made many changes to it to customize it for my personal use.

In the beginning of the script there is a section that reads the board… it goes something like "if color so and so, block is so and so". Now, not the most efficient thing to do, but you can add ifs there… like "if color is so and so, wait(200)" or maybe even rewrite it so that "if color is none of the above, wait 200"… This means when it reads the board and sees background, it waits (in 200ms pauses) until it reads a board color instead. This introduces some other issues, but it is a start…

just think it through, think of the flow of it. Think less of what the lines say and more about what they actually do.

Hi there,
you seem to be rather advanced programmer,
I made my own bilger bot which works rather nice (good/ excelent most of the time)
and I'm currently working on a gunning bot.
I don't really know what algorithm to make to fill cannons,
I used DTMs to recognise powder, rag and balls, wich works great but I don't know how to make it knowing what loop to make or how to fill cannons,
this is gunner brain knowledge rather than programmer skills that I need.
If you can ever help, I'd be very grateful
