"I have a question about the current competition"

Post your question in the Current Competition Rules and Discussion thread and I'll answer it there; this is only for general questions

"Who judges the scripts?"

Starblaster100 will always judge the scripts. If someone else is helping me run the competition, they will also comment on the scripts. If you would like to be a judge, whether it be testing, or simply a line about each, PM me when I am marking scripts, and I'll send you the scripts back if i think you owuld make a good judge

"How often are the competitions?"

It depends on the deadline of the previous competition really. We might have 3 in 1 month, and 0 in the next. Sorry, but it is not periodical.

"How long will it take you to mark the scripts?"

It depends on my workload and how many are submitted, but i aim to get them all marked within 2 weeks. I'll imform you if it is going to be longer than that

"Who will have access to the scripts?"

Every single registered user. This is a place where others can learn off of you, or where you can learn off of others.

"Who can participate?"

Everyone. Doesn't matter on your experience

"What are the prizes?"

Depends on how hard the current competition is. The hard it is, the bigger the prizes. The normal amount is about 2 mill GP, but if you want something else and i think it is an appropriate award, you can have that. Prizes are funded by members. Please visit this thread if you feel like you can donate anything.

Will users have an option to vote on the "topic/theme" of the next competition? I wanted to participate in SC3, but I don't like building game logic.

an interesting idea, currently there are no votes planned.

Reason is i want all of the competitions to focus on a different aspect of scar so that we can all see what SCAR an truly do

i don't really think its a good idea, cause it gives a sneak peek of what could come, so someone could start planning the scripts earlier or something. but hey thats just my perspective

I like the voting idea but I agree with The Claw. Maybe the vote could be PMed to Star and he would be only one able to see it. Or maybe a hidden poll or something.

And I think if the vote would be 5 days long, all interested would see, vote and in 5 days no one gets really any advantage..

StarBlaster, you could just have a variety of options that are extremely different in concept.

Perhaps, we could have a vote but any voters can not enter the competition.

it not a good idea since you can also make another account and vote on it,while u enter the comp in ur main account

I tried reading through the topic about donations for the prize. I can't figure out why the topic was locked (maybe something edited, maybe me not being very observant).

Anyway, are there still going to be prizes for future scripting competitions? I said I would donate and I still intend to if you plan on using it.

Edit: After reading fakawi's post on "new runescape" I think I missed some big important update. Feel free to ignore a noob post while I figure out what the big important update is. Obviously I've been gone for a little while :)

Double Edit: Found the update on runescape. Hmm, so sad… that was the part of the game I was interested in when I was playing legit too. Oh well, on to developing skills. Should be easy now that they've solved the bot problem :)
