YahooMSG, the user claims to be "King" of SRL members.

YahooMSG also has a Zulrah script which is 95% sure to be fake.

I just want to get the bottom of this, as there was 60 people viewing my thread, I'm very confident that there's an IP-match because the fellow who did this doesn't seem too clever.

@King; told Hoodz his Sythe account was hacked. This is purely a Sythe problem and not much the staff at SRL can do other than cross-checking the eventual IP address we get with our own userbase.

That does clear up the YahooMSG.
But I wonder how him hacking his sythe account got my script..?

If we get an IP address from Sythe, we could possibly find out if his SRL account got hacked as well.

@Zyt3x I have not been on Sythe in several months. I typically stay away from the site as I only sell gold and they are really not a helpful bunch most of the time. I am in the process of changing all of the information of the account and contacting BladeBro ( who the script was sent too ) to have the account suspended until I can get this sorted out. I am at University and I've had problems with a guy a few doors down since I let him come over to use my computer when his was down. He seemed like a cool guy at the time, however he tried to copy my paper. I found him looking through a list of sites on my favorites, he landed on Sythe. I asked what he was doing and he said he was a gamer as well and was just looking at Sythe. Being the naive individual I am sometimes, I just looked through my account quickly and made sure nothing was done and have not been on the site since. I was not aware anything happened until @hoodz Pm'd me and asked if that was my profile. While it is my profile, I've been fighting this guy away from other various profiles that I don't frequent as well. I've been having issues with my account on Tribot as well. After posting this I am going to be changing my password on here, as well as self requesting a ban on Sythe until I can get this sorted.

As for how the script got out, I don't know. I doubt he had access to this site as if he did, it would be easier to scam because I am a member on here, but much less trusted on Sythe. I found the script while I was trolling through Pastebin looking for a copy of my old water fiends script.

Please bare with me while I work through this, I will try and update this thread / make a new one in the members section to keep the status updated. Also please keep in mind that my University has a single IP address.

All posts have been changed to reflect the current state, contacted Mods to delete them, Pm'd BladeBro and CC this post to him.

I've been working quite a lot the last few days and just got on my computer. I've had problems in the past with this guy trying to use my SRL name to sell scripts. I'll contact the mods and have it removed if possible.

You're right. Being in university is unbelievable. Especially where I use their network. I'm sorry, if you don't believe me, then vote to have myself banned.

If the account was indeed compromised, I'm sure there would be logs of a password reset or a different machine having logged into it (there's more then just IP that can be checked). That is, unless the random guy down the hall either knew your password and for some reason didn't bother to change it. Or, y'know, the whole thing happened on your PC.

Who knows.

It's been changed numerous times. I've had issues in the past as mentioned in the PM. If I wanted to rip someone off on Sythe I would go the route of GP as I have quite a few vouches. Also, Fitta is a great scripter. I agree, hope it gets resolved and no one actually bought it from the thread. I would be better off scamming on here as I am a member. Like I said, just telling what happened. Trying pretty hard to get it resolved.

This was posted AFTER I got it confirmed by the sythe mod that my script was leaked. As your whole UNI got the same IP, I'm not going to point fingers, this is turning into a judgement battle of who's fault it is and I am not in position to demand anything. I don't even know what rule(s) that was broken, if the rule(s) even exist?

Like I said, believe what I say or don't. Nothing a stranger on the internet can do to convince you. I'm sorry it happened and I did what I could to have it removed. I contacted the Mods on Sythe, reported the threads and verified the script was not sold to anyone. As for it being posted after you confirmed it, how would I know when you confirmed something?

You're right, story sounds like bullshit, but it's the truth. If I wanted to lie I would just say I got a key logger and both accounts were hacked, computer was scanned etc. Sometimes the truth is lame man.

There is always a change we are wrong, but:

• Three of his accounts have been hacked at the same time(skype, srl and sythe)
• The hacker knew how to find srl scripts and how to edit them.
• The IP story has been confirmed false by core.
• He was on it from the start, noticing it etc.
• He takes a shot at this forum its community in his leave message.

At this point he needs to prove it wasn't him instead of coming with a "I am hacked story".

At this point I'd be shocked if he could prove his innocence. There's way too much evidence that it was him and his story has more holes than something that has, like, a lot of holes.

But in all reality, it's pretty unlikely judging someone's character can stop that kind of behavior. I'm sure @The Mayor is an outstanding paragon of character, but if someone offered him like $10k (obviously extreme) to leak any of the scripts in SRL Members or even my agility script in Junior Members, even he would likely succumb to temptation.

An example of this in the real world is the flood of "oh, the ____ I knew couldn't have done such a thing! He was such an outstanding citizen, went to church every day etc…" from people who knew someone just outed for a serious crime. The people that engage in this behavior tend to be among the best at hiding it.

We differ in opinions about this. Also note that in most cases scams and leaks were done for marginal profit.

You've seen the applications section before right? There are many cases where a solid chunk of people are voting based entirely on attitude. It's always been that way. Even in my application ~7 years ago it was very important to have a good attitude and be active on the forums. For a recent example, @Obscurity;'s application featured a lot of debate based on "not enough posts", "not active enough in community" etc.

Another interesting scenario is when scams are done for tiny profit by a dedicated member who wanted to get themselves banned. I can't remember their name but I know this has happened before. Sometimes people you can feel like great friends with are capable of turning on you for a very small profit due to greed.

I feel like it's more a typical case of no longer being socially connected/caring about the community, having already learned scripting for themselves, now doing whatever they want privately, and seeing how much they can profit before getting inevitably caught - and they won't ultimately care about the penalty if their stories don't work out.

Which is why it comes as a surprise - they were once valuable, helpful, nice members. We don't keep track of who's getting SRL jaded.

In any event, glad this was settled and hope it doesn't happen again! It's sad that I and many others feel cautious about posting scripts in this supposed-to-be exclusive prestige section.
