Was wondering if anyone knew a better way to find NPC other than mainScreen.findObject , It seems really unreliable when it comes to NPC.

Look at Twinki's Tanner. It has a great npc finding function.

When color scripting, there is usually no AIO universal NPC detection method that is superior in all cases. The best NPC finders are tailored specifically for the situation, in my opinion. Mainscreen.findObject is likely unreliable because it is an attempt at making a general function for use in all environments, which is no simple task at all.

Take a look at NPC finders in other scripts, and then add in custom filtering for the TPAs/ATPAs. Making stuff like this is a lot of trial and error, and seeing what works.

If you aren't familiar with what I mentioned, and want a more extended example, let me know!

I have only made 2 scripts so far, all of which are very very simple scripts not using TPAs and ATPAs and stuff like that, so a more detailed example would be nice lol

+1 for an example, coming from c++ then to java now free pascal, free pascal looks so foreign. :P
