Low level accounts scripts

A newish Hardcore Ironman account. Boy, does it suck having nothing……Luckily, amazing scripts here and in public that are a godsend…..(Many, many thanks to Mayor's GAO & CrayCray, Rlagk's LazySiphon, 3Garrett3's Evergreen Chop, Ashaman's Smelter and others I've borrowed bits off)
BUT
I'm after any small, forgotten about scripts anyone might have? A rune miner would be fantastic, or a Taverley cow killer/boots maker (7k an trip!), a lower level fishing/banking maybe?

I made a burthorpe cow killer/boots maker, but I can't release it yet since I'm using it for the 250m competition…

how the hell did you put that in less than 250 lines? heheh

You'd be surprised what can be fit into 250 lines. I was skeptical at first too, but my competition script is an AIO Lumby Smelter that came to 180 lines before I added extras. :p

heh i got a cabbage picker/eater with banking and im at 250 lines.. i mean.. my antiban+setup is 150 lines! so its kinda hard really.. but i suppose my setup is too large :P

The key to fitting anything in under 250 lines is to get rid of any feature that doesn't explicitly perform the exact function you're trying to perform. Also delete a lot of failsafes you would normally have. Also delete any cool stuff. Also pick objects that are easy to find with simple TPAs. Also maximize your usage of SRL. Also add a bit of luck and a whole lot of code optimization, and you should be okay.

Yeah, my setup was initially 100 or so lines until I rewrote it for maximum line saving. Your setup shouldn't really be more than a few constants and a DeclarePlayers. :p

Condense Coding is the future! I am in need of a script like this, I'll be waiting :)

It has very minimal antiban/failsafes, but I plan on adding more after the competition. :)

Correct code indentation
Avoiding infinite loops
Necessary failsafes
Simple progress report

I'd avoid bitmap from string, dtm from string, etc.. I'd probably have them physically on disk or from a url like imgur and load them from there.. Make lots of the code native..? If you can use natify to load code from memory, that would be nice too.. Why? Because I'd use CompressString (zlib) to compress code into a single string/line.. Then do: Natify(DecompressString(str)) and voila.. a one line script that's actually 50k lines long.. Not sure if natify can be used like that though (as an interpreter)..

There's many ways to do this without stupefying your script..

I feel like what you did is against the spirit of making a script in under 250 lines (especially at a Jr Mem. and lower level). I have no real idea what the things you talked about mean but if somebody knew how to do it, it would be you.

Like you said, all that you need are those 4 things. The real killers are inefficient coding (seems like case statements end up causing this a lot especially for new scripters) and things like when "features" are added after the fact rather than integrated from the start, causing repeated code etc.

although Mayor has stated that what Brandon said above, is against the "rules" so.. Scripts that qualify to the comp are the ones writen in the "traditional" way.

The main purpose of the 250 line limit was to get people to utilise as much of the srl6 include as possible. The tens of thousands of lines of code in the include are there for a reason ;) When all these new scripts are released people will see you can write pretty amazing things in 250 lines ;)

Maybe the plugins/native part isn't allowed (really would be cheating).. but surely images from a url would be fine.. Turns out you can't actually use natify as an interpreter on strings :l bummer..

var
str: string;
begin
str := 'procedure meh; begin writeln(''hello''); end;';
natify(@str[1]); //damn.
end.

would have been nice.. but can't do it; so my idea is out of the window..

I'd love to see the scripts when they do get released.. Can't really imagine anything "useful" for 250 lines.. unless it's targeting non-members or very very simple tasks.

Seems like those ideas specifically have already been made/covered in above posts, but if you have any more specific requests let me know, you've helped me a great deal in the past :)
