id go with a rune scim
it may hit less but its much faster and a lot cheaper.

Dragon long sword has +30 more strength and way more accuracy the rune scimmy does not even compare

I would say dragon long sword.
Even though it is slightly slower than a scimitar it is still better simply because of the better stats. The stats more than compensate for its "lack" of speed.

This is in the old school section so there is no sara sword for him (or anyone) to use.
