Hi everyone at Simba. I am not new to botting, in fact botting is the single most action performed throughout my entire life. However, I do not know anything about scripting, coding, programming, or anything of the sort. I simply understand the basics of bots, which is "If this is this, then do this."
Because of this, i'm what's known as a "leecher". I don't see why i'm put into that category, or why it even exists for that matter. The term "Leech" is described as "A hanger-on who only seeks self-benefit and personal-gain." While I understand why I would be called this, I fail to see what it is I have to give back to scripters and bot makers. This bot was invented for people to use it. It was invented for people to be able to get the boring things in RS done for them so they could do the fun things. I do not desire to possess any knowledge of coding or scripting or programming, because it is not what i'm interested in. I think it's fascinating that people develop bots and scripts for us normal players to enjoy the luxury of getting things done for us, but that's where my enthusiasm stops.
I'm a gamer, I play all kinds of games, and love playing them. Does that mean that I leech off of game developers because I only play their game and don't contribute to their game code or pay them a monthly subscription? Some people don't have money to give to scripters. If you want your script/bot to not be used by people who are incapable of giving you something in return, keep it private. Only give it to people who pay or contribute for it. Don't release a script and then put a # somewhere in the code that fucks the whole thing up because most of us don't know how to fix that; we don't know ANYTHING about coding. Does it mean we are stupid? Does it mean we don't appreciate or care about the hard work put into scripting these bots? No it doesn't. It just means we don't possess that knowledge.
People are different…
Anyway, I've just migrated to Simba because i'm tired of waiting for Powerbot. I don't play EOC because the game I loved as a kid will always be OSRS. Nice to meet you all and hope I get what I came here for. lol.
