SRL Archive - General Botting Help

Hello, my name is Ryan and I'd first like to say this place is great. I've always been a botter. I quit RS a little after bot nuking and came back about a month ago to play 07. Waiting for bots to come out, I found one that was "wbot.nl". It was ok, but it got shut down some how or another. Anyways, I do a little bit of coding myself. I know VB.NET, HTML, and CSS.

I would like to learn how to code my own scripts as well here. In time, I'll learn it no problem. For now, I would just like to bot and get the hang of this thing.

So here's my problem:

-I tried a script for 07 and realized the Simba client was telling me it was missing something or whatever to start the client. So I went the the F&Q and seen what was wrong. I had to download and install the files I needed for it to run 07 and had to update smart.

I did everything in the tutorials. I get this problem:



Can anyone help me actually getting a bot to run?

You seem to be using SRL-5 (EoC) and not SRL-OSR, unsure if the script is made for the OSR include or not, Can you post the link to the script here?

I realized there is some required information I need to plugin it that I over-looked. It asked for the monster (without the first letter) and the monster color. How do I receive the monster color code?

The monster color is found by using the little color picker found on the simba toolbar. It looks like an eye dropper.

After filling in required information, I continue to get the same error:

Do you have the smartparam's required for 07 botting??

Wait, maybe it could have to do something with the fact that you've defined smart in the script and told to bot in it but you've selected the browser rs?

if you're using it on a browser remove {$Define Smart8} on top of the script. and activate the browser with the green crosshair on simba.


if the script uses P07Include.simba ({$i P07Include.simba } is on top of the script then)

And I've tried two ways so far. I've tried running the script without the browser, which didn't work, and I've tried by using the little cordinator green button in Simba and drag it to the 07 log in screen using the browser, which also didn't work.

I was getting the same error.

I figured it out, though. It was as simple as editing "{$Define SMART}" to "{$Define SMART8}" which one of the video tutorials mentioned I may have to do that. I'm still having problems with the bot, though. But that's on the scripters side. I can't figure out how to get it to eat or anything or to stop looting stuff. I took out the default code to loot. In the topic, he said there was an eating option to eat at a certain % but I honestly don't see anything in there that allows you to modify what you eat and what % you eat if the feature is even there.
