It seems like there is no point to slay normally anymore and get decent xp/hour without buying spins now..why?
In case you guys didn't read more into today's update:
Most, if not all slayer monsters assigned by Kuradal/other high level slayer masters, got their Lifepoints doubled or more.
The xp gained for killing them remains the same.
In a nutshell:
Jagex updates slayer monsters, taking them longer to kill. And at the same time, they decide to extend the time period for the slayer xp lamps/masks on the SOF and extra 1.5x slayer xp.
Just look at how much the player 'Svulle' gained in Slayer in just today ONLY.
There is no way someone can gain 16 million experience in Slayer in 1 day by slaying legit.
Spent so much money just for spins…

I would never want to spend money on SoF spins. I don't know why people do it just so they can get 99 or be on the top of the hi-scores.

When you've got a lot of money, why bot and risk getting banned when you can just buy your skills even faster.

I know, but what they need to know is that it's just a game and they could have used that money to buy things they need irl. But it's just an opinion. I agree with you on the botting thing.

There are people who pay hundreds of dollars on silly hats in TF2. There are people who spend thousands on "f2p" MMOs. These are not people with rational priorities, for the most part.

That's why I don't train Slayer legit, only butterflies (last day :() and penguin points. I'd rather get some decent xp in other stats than Slayer, at least atm. ;/

Mod Chris L Bumped up the slayer xp on some monsters later. and stated he was going to make the rates fair. Honestly slayer was wayyyyyyy to fast since eoc, They been trying to fix runescape so its "normal" .
I dont like the skill either, only 94, but no one can deny EOC messed up xp rates for combat and slayer so much. They should be slightly higher then b4 eoc, around ~75-90k/hr Would be good.
I think a bigger problem is this stupid 1 click deposit all..makes me rage so much >.<
Edit: and the reason for extending the slayer bonus was because people who bought the 1 year memberships and get 3 spins a day instead of 2, were getting 0 or 2 spins a day since the HTML5 core update, jagex wanted to make it fair to them, so many people were mad on forums. So to make it up for everyone, they just extended the slayer weekend.
Tl:dr Yes jagex is milking the game for money, but lately they have also been putting alot more money into the game as well. (07 scape, HTML5, better servers etc). Its not so big of a deal, I mean, if people want to spend $4,000 on spins to max an account, let them.
Personally i Don't find pride in that, i play the game for the sense of accomplishment i get when completeing a goal. Also, id rather people spend $2,300 on spins, to fund runescape and keep it alive, then buying a maxed account from some chinese guy for $300
