Ok, this has rightfully pissed me off and NEEDS to be addressed.

Why the hell does RJJ [no offence to him on this one] get a specific thread because he spent ages trying to get in but members such a benny etc Don't?
It's singling out the community, favoritism and tbh quite rude.

I understand Yohojo didn't mean it with this intent. But I just don't think a thread of congratulation should be made.

It feels like one of those moments where all the good kids at school have to go to lesson but that bad kids get sent to an amusement park all because they're normally difficult and now behave good for a week.

It just doesn't feel fair to single people out… as you can see Benny only got one because people felt sorry for him…

Woah I didn't even know I'd got one….. Wow.

Thanks for pointing that out brad.

Everyone is different and initially has the right on here to make a new thread congrats/celebrating x event. It's well within the rules and is quite encouraging in my opinion.

Nobody's preventing someone from making a thread for someone else.. if you didn't get a thread, that's because nobody felt like making you one.
u mad bro? most people didn't get one, including me

Yes it's encouraging… but what about the people who are forgotten

Meh, it literally means nothing just someone wanting to congratulate someone for their achievement.

This just seems like your causing a fuss for no real reason

Look at the thread. I'm not the one starting fights. I'm simply pointing out how unfair it is to say congrats to one person but not another.

I understand where you're coming from here, why a thread would be made about a single new member as opposed to all. What you should understand, however, the congratulations thread made for RJJ was made by a single person, it wasn't automatically announced by Villavu. This means anyone's welcome to publicly congratulate a user on becoming a Member, no?

Yes, but when someone of status such as YoHoJo (Once again to confirm I'm not picking a fight with him) makes a thread, it is kind of on behalf of Villavu isn't it? Not completely I understand… but still…

Ha YoHoJo the community voice…

It depends on how important the thread is to you personally. If it's worth your time enough to read & reply then in your eyes, it was a made for a good reason. If the thread isn't practical then there's no need to comment on it, I don't think it would be hurting anyone's feelings.

If I had a such a thread then I'd be thankful for those who gave me a congratulations, but I wouldn't resent those who didn't; that'd be a big list, no? :p Just give attention to the threads you think deserve and don't worry about the others.

I didn't get a congratulations thread for becoming a member, and nobody remembers my birthday, but I don't cry about it. At least not on the forums, I cry about it in real life every night before I go to bed.

Lol when is your birthday, I will make a special note to make a thread.
Also who cares we all know rjj is not special, if yohojo wants to make a thread let him we are all allowed to make threads in that same section as well. Its not a big deal

Ill make a thread because I rate you highly (attempts to get on flights good books!)
You raise a great point though and it's certainly true to say that these teas can be ignored regardless of how annoying it is.
