SRL Archive - RS3 Script Requests

Hello,

I am currently seeking a decent script writer who is willing to show me the basics of the art. This could take 5 minutes out of each day or each week to type up a short email explaining one simple thing about script writing. I'm just very interested and cannot find any other learning method other than college courses and crappy youtube videos. I'm also open to skype or learning by telephone though I might piss you off on the phone because I'm usually a visual learner. :duh:

If you know of any sites that might teach me everything I need to know about writing runescape scripts, please feel free to post links to them. I virus check all links that I am sent so don't try to mess with me please. I cannot afford to pay you in anything other than scripts so if you are willing to teach me this awesome stuff, I will give you free scripts in return.

There are quite a few good tutorial on the site already.
YoHoJo, Coh3n and a bunch of other people write some pretty good ones.

First, I suggest you learn the syntax.
Get to the point where you can create procedures, functions, use variables, constants, and use them effectively.
Once you learn the syntax, a good way to practice this would be to WriteLn() some return values from your functions.
A lot of the following you will learn from the tutorials.

Once you are able to do things like this effectively, you then able to apply that to SRL to make your functions.
After that it is a matter of learning more and learning what functions you need to call from the SRL include to do what you need to.
For example, this may be finding a color, moving the mouse to a certain position, clicking the mouse; learning what to search for and how to do it effectively will help you out in the long run.

Look at Yohojo's YouTube Tutorials they are pretty helpful and will show you what to do from the basics
