So I followed a video tutorial and got everything set up on my mac via wine. The last part that I'm stuck on is getting Simba to run on 2007. The smart client works but it obviously runs the current version of runescape.
I updated my normal RS client to run 2007 but the Simba selector (the little green button) wont let me select other windows on mac.
How are people getting around this?

Install Firefox for windows with java 7u15 in the same bottle as simba and then try. I don't know how wine works but that's how I have it setup in crossover and everything works except the color picker so I can only run scripts.

Would you happen to know how to bottle them together? I downloaded java via wine and installed it and i'm still getting the same error.

have the same problem but i have downloaded the mac version of simba. And also ive tried to use the fonts P07 but they don't work and i have no idea how to fix it

If you use Crossover just select bottle while installing it and choose the same bottle for firefox, java, and simba.

You cannot use simba in wine on mac as without smart, it will not recognise anything out of its own wrapper.
I am currently using virtualbox which is free with a windows OS and runs perfectly.

I have the same problem as the OP. I will try using virtualbox on my MacBook Pro os 10.8.2 early 2011 model.
I'll test virtualbox and report results here

so I used virtualbox. everything looks like it works fine with the regular runescape. but i spent the entire time (up until now) trying to get bots to work with old school RS.. I am beyond tired. I'm calling it a night. To Top it all off, I got work & school tomorrow too >.<
gah :P It's okay though. Maybe after some more reading i'll figure something out
