hey guys so i bought an iphone 4s and its locked to telus, ive been searching the net for a way to unlock it to work for virgin mobile, has anyone done this or know how too?

I thought the Telus ones were already unlocked. I have a iPhone 4 (from telus) and have just changed the sim card and it worked fine.

Not sure what the laws are like in Canada

But in Recently in the USA, the government passed a law which makes it illegal to unlock iphones

I know only how to root them. When it came to unlocking, I'd always do it in serbia, europe. Dunno about the legality of unlocking in Canada, but I'm sure there are asian places (not meant to be racist) that would do it for a price.

Don't you have to pay TELUS $35? They reduced it from $50 recently.

yeah but you gotta be a telus customer for 3 months to do that >..<
