I was first somewhat with this 'bring the oldschool runescape thing' back, but now that I look at the forums and media sites, I've been getting the feeling that Jagex will stop spending much time on the main servers and instead focus too much on the 07 servers.

Primary example: Moving back the release date of the New Grand Master quest, The World Wakes.
Setting 1 update behind, would obviously set other updates to be behind and reschedueled. And then on top of that, you have 2 new skills coming, the first new skill is to be released near June/Early Summer 2013

Do you think the quality of updates on the main servers(EoC) will be getting more amateur?

As unfortunate as it is, I can't imagine the quality of updates will get any better. If they were doing lame updates with a full staff, it doesn't seem likely it'd get any better with them focusing on RS07.

They said they would be hiring a team specifically for working on the 07 server, so that shouldn't take away from the development of the main server.

Didn't they also say RS07 wouldn't effect release dates of the main game? They pushed the quest already. Who knows what else :/

The only reason the quest was pushed back was to release the 07 servers early. Once the polls are over and a team are assigned everything will be back to normal;)

The 07 servers haven't even gotten enough votes to get updates yet so I really can't see that being the cause of the setbacks in the current version.

i think with that added income of the 07 servers in jagexs pocket they'll have more money to invest in updating the new game.
personally i think 07 was just to get the attention of all the people coming back for it to see the new updates in the current game and hopefully give it another chance as i cant imagine they really expect to see the 07 servers last for long (much like the RSC servers), i also dont think they expect to get 500k votes for it to be free. oh and did i mention the added income from the 07 servers?
so with all that said it may have delayed a few things but in the long ru i dont think it will have a large impact on the current game updates

edit: i think it will mostly depend on the outcome of the vote.
