SRL Archive - Development

Newfag here,

So I'm developing one of my first scripts (powerchopper :P) and while it works alright on eoc-runescape (still needs some tweaks but its okay), it doesn't do anything on my 07 remake private server. I dragged the crosshairs into the downloadable client, and pressed run. In the debug box all it says is that the script executed successfully. Al that normal stuff. but my mouse doesn't even move to try to find the colors. I'm hoping its just because I'm running it in a downloadable client.

I heard in another thread, you will be able to just change the colors to match 07scape's and just run the script as is, with todays SRL and all. If that's true, then awesome. But I just want to make sure before I put in the effort to write the rest of the script. If you won't be able to do this, then are you going to have to hand-code your own scripts? (Bitmaps and that stuff, and not being able to use the SRL stuff)

I'm super new to this SRL + pascal stuff, so go easy on me. I know java from private servers but thats it..

EDIT: To clarify, I am going to use this script on the 07scape that jagex is releasing tomorrow, feb 22. NOT my private server. I am just testing on my server

It does not have the same uptext

Alot of the includes you are probably using are made for only the current version of runescape. Ones that are based off of text and cord's wont work on your private server, So you would have to either hand write everything yourself (using bitmaps for text) or try using the 06 scape include, people have been doing work on private server includes lately, so check that out.

I never use it so idk much about it tho

Alright thanks a lot, that explains it well. Also just to make sure, I was talking about using my script for the legacy servers that jagex is releasing tomorrow. I'm assuming that what you posted is also relevant to those?

Yeah a new include will have to be made for the 07 server jagex is releasing, since its a pretty big deal im sure people will be working on an official include for it tho, so there should be some material for it Pretty soon after release. Till then you gotta do it old school by hand :P

Old includes will be used from the early days.

okay awesome. do you think its worth it making a script by hand or should I just wait for the include?

paying for a private script made as soon as this is out. Idk if it can be done but it will more than likely have to be someone with GREAT skills.

The buying and selling of scripts is against the rules here at villavu, if you which to pay for a script try other sites such as sythe.org

We won't know till its up how much of our p06 will work, but some of it might, wouldn't be hard to make it work, I believe the SRL dev's will get something up for us :)

Also please note that P06 is an unofficial script developed by me and a few others, and generally not supported by the rest of the forum ;) so I doubt many people would know what it is :p
