S.M.A.R.T. Graphics Settings Question

When S.M.A.R.T. loads up "Safe Mode" is automatically selected. I try to manually change it and it won't let me and when I do it on the RuneScape interface the screen goes black.

Is it possible to change it to DirectX so it pops up all the time? Safemode causes me a lot of lag.

You can't bot in modes other than safe mode.
OpenGL is probably the only option that will arise.

SMART is made for botting, and SRL only works under safe mode, therefore SMART also only works under safe mode.
Safe mode should not lag for you at all, if so check out the link in my sig to a guide on how to possibley fix safe mode lag.

If you want to use DX mode just to play, just use your browser.

Alright, I will check it out. I just don't understand why then S.M.A.R.T. has the option to change it to something else if it only works for one.

Because those options are in RUNESCAPE not SMART.
We can't change/edit the game :p

I fully understand that part, but there is some miscommunication going on. Let me show you a picture of what I mean.

I think those are there in case they're needed in the future. Safemode shouldn't have any lag, do what Yohojo suggested :)
