My Parents Are Going to Kill Me

Chris Reborn

Well guys it was nice knowing everyone. My parents are most likely going to kill me in roughly 3 hours. now not literally kill me but hypothetically kill me. They will be very angry. Mostly because today while i was at school my mom had this wonderful idea of 'let's clean Chris' room!". Now this is completely out of the ordinary considering my mom rarely ever goes into my room. Maybe once a month, usually to tell me to get up for school or something. But today she decided to clean my room. Well, lets just say she wasn't so happy with what she found… She found 7 Oz of marijuana… which in my area equates to roughly $2,500 USD. Now you may be wondering why i have this in my room. Well to tell you the truth i smoke alot. Not as much as i used to (around 1-2g/day on weekdays and up to 3-4g/day on saturday and sunday) but i smoked around .5g/day every day now. I had this weed because i sell alot of weed. In school and out of school. Now that my mom found it she is most likely going to kill me. So it was nice knowing all of you. see you soon and i will most likely still be on the forums since i payed for all 3 of my computers, so i'm hoping my parents just ground me for the rest of highschool but i can still use my computers. Well that's my story. Good Day everyone and best of luck to not getting murdered tonight.

my mom has never cleaned my room or really looked in it before today… i never thought i had to worry. i made sure of no smelling and it was in plain site. it was hidden well enough for the usual parenting my parents do.

They will most likely not kill you, no I think more along the lines of they will maybe give you the talk (dreadful) and take away the cannabis. The second thing they do is what you should be more afraid of because I'm guessing since you have about $2500 of it, it is not all yours or maybe it is, but you will loose a lot of mullah.

On a last note…(insertwittycommenthereonhowdrugskill-nopunintended)

i wish i could say it wasn't all mine. forgot to mention this was the second time i got caught. first time was about what you said. but it was only 5g and i was only in 7th grade so they just figured i was stupid… now they're smart enough to know i was in it for cash and am probably pretty addicted :/ oh wells i will see when my dad gets home.

edit - and i didn't pay 2500 for it i payed 1100. 2500 would be what i would get after i sold it all. which would take me maybe 3 weeks.

Oh man that's so dreadful. I feel you man.

Ultimately you just have to accept the punishment they give you.

I don't condone using drugs - using them is your wish but selling is not good at all. I reckon the best bet is a complete change in lifestyle - time to get active and fit again best road to recovery.

Er, honestly, I wouldn't say "I sell drugs at my school" on the forums. That's kinda like incriminating yourself. Then again, I'm a bit paranoid so it probably isn't that big of a deal. Still I'd edit that part out mate…

But back on topic. This was kinda your fault. Parents are always one day going to "clean" your room, which means they are only doing it to see if you are hiding drugs. It's a normals parents worst fear(or at least one of). This is the same way I got caught with some. Then again I kinda didn't care if it happened, I sure needed help so maybe subconciously I wanted to get caught.

Anywho, IMO at least its just weed and not something worse. Also I hope if they get rid of all the weed that it's actually all pay for by you and that you dont owe money for it. Cause that would suck….

I still say lucky its only weed.
There's no such thing as addiction to weed. It can only be mentally addicting. No physical, or withdrawals, associated with it. So I really don't see a reason to see a doctor but parents dont know so they will do these types of things.

Yeah, but you can't get chemically addicted to RuneScape either. But I've seen and heard of some pretty extreme cases. You can go to rehab for just about anything. Plus, a lot of people smoke it with tobacco, which most definitely is addictive.

On topic, your parents were probably more concerned than anything, they'd be more worried about what they did to cause this, or what they could have done to prevent it.

The difference is people don't have chemical dependencies to weed like they do with other drugs, where your body needs the drug. You can die from withdrawals from most other drugs, because you're chemical dependent on them. You can't die from "withdrawals" from weed, since it can only be a mental addiction, like people being addicted to video games or tv.

Also, your post earlier saying weed is obviously addictive is silly. Your source has no actual sources listed. Don't want to go into more about that though, as it's sadly a pointless debate.

There are 3 types of lies in this world: lies, damned lies and statistics.

On topic: when it comes to weed discussions on the internet, there will never be agreement. Opinions will be resolute! Just think of it this way, it's costing you money, and brings no long term benefit. It's just like buying from McDonalds for your lunch, rather than making a sandwich.

On the chemical side of things, research is very non-conclusive at this stage. I personally wouldn't take paracetamol if it hadn't been very thoroughly tested, but I'm threw cautious type.

Honestly bottom line is you can throw statistics around all day but until you have experianced an actual addictive drug take over your own mind or had someone very close to you addicted to a substance that is proven to be a highly addictive then you dont get the difference between things like weed and things like herion. There is a increadible large difference between weed and addictive substances bottom line.

Yeah, but even WITH those extreme cases they don't compare even slightly to what addiction to hard drugs will make a person do. I find it comical when someone mentions "weed" and "addiction" in the same sentence. It isn't statistics but FACT that weed isn't physically addictive. If you don't smoke it you're not going to start getting withdrawals and feel like your body is turning inside out from all the pain. It will definitely be on your mind non stop. That's another issue that to me, being someone who sadly had experiences with substances, isn't at all that hard to deal with. Then again we are all different.

But back on topic.
Whats going on now? Seen that doctor yet?
What did he suggest? Btw he's going to suggest REHAB (most likely) which will cost around 1800$ bux. Im not here to tell you if you need it or not, but just think it out first cause that doc will try to push you into it.

I never understood this whole grounding thing. I never was grounded, even though I did some pretty bad things, granted not anything to do with drugs, since I don't do either drugs or alcohol, and never will. Now that I think of it, none of my friends were either, and they did much worse stuff than me. I don't know, maybe it's an american thing or something. Always thought it was stupid when people say they were grounded, and then you basically could tell they were from the US. :D

As far as an update. I'm still grounded and have been going to 'rehab' although it's not what you would normally think of rehab. I am going to a doctor that deals with 'teens with drug addictions' and basically so far we've just been going over what like led me into getting involved with drugs etc. I go once a day for the rest of march then every few days once april comes. From then on i'm just going to keep going less and less until i don't feel like i'm compelled to be involved. Otherwise i've made some pretty drastic life changes i would say, i am doing my best to find new friends at school and get involved with a new group of people outside of drugs. I also got a new haircut aswell as a new set of closthes, lots of closthes actually. completely redid everything in my closet, attempting to completely change. I also got a membership to a local gym aswell as a personall trainer so i can get in shape although i was never really out of shape completely. @Benny (the pin man) also recommended me a home workout called Insanity that i have ordered through Amazon that should come in the next few days. So basically i figured it was time to turn my life around, i don't want to be that family member that my family doesn't want and i also don't want to be a bumb on the street, which you aswell as other people in my family have told me is where i'm headed. So i guess it's about time i started getting my act together. I studied for my first test aswell in probably 4-5 years and got a 97% so i'm pretty pleased with that and for once my mom didn't lecture me on how i need to try harder. So overall i would say i'm heading in the right direction, but it's easy to change for a short while and fall back on old habits. I want to do my best to keep getting better and hope thats where i'll end up. So Cause i hope this answered your question for an update. and yeah sorry i just rambled for a long paragraph…

You're doing amazing man. Depending where you live, there is this thing called "daytox". Basically you commit going at least 10hours a week to a place where they have activities like yoga, acupuncture, drawing/painting, weight lifting, etc. It's pretty much something that keeps you occupied when bored rather than thinking back on negative thoughts about using drugs. You did say you're going to start working out at the gym which is on the similar path.

For me personally, the longer the time passes the harder it gets so keeping yourself busy is a must. It was easy to just put it down.

Good luck.

I hate to point a finger, but look at people who cut, they can easily deal with the physical, and would rather it than the mental.

The point wasn't whether mental or physical pain is worse, it was between sometimes physically addicting vs mentally. Physically meaning you will go into painful withdrawals with every thought consumed by the thought of using, mentally being your every thought consumed by using. Relatable to mental + physical pain, but totally different, and it appears to be pointless to discuss further.

Back on topic…
Best of luck!

Tell them you're raising a college fund then got mugged and they made you smoke so now you're addicted.
