The vote-counter on Runescape's homepage has easily surpassed 50k votes so the 2007 servers will be released for sure (its even been confirmed on the homepage). Now what I'm wondering is how soon will Simba scripts be available for the 2007 servers? Would anyone like to share their thoughts?

I personally am very excited because by the time they are released I will have been almost done with my second semester of Java programming. Before EOC and before I quit after it was released I use to use Simba scripts and really wanted to learn how to code so I could make Simba scripts and contribute to the community. Although I know that from what I've seen so far, most Simba scripts aren't in java-they are in a different language; but now that I have a background in programming I know the fundamentals and main ideas that all programs are based on. From what I can tell its just a matter of learning a few tricks and the specific syntax for other programming languages.

So could anyone help out a noobie programmer in the community by answering a few questions I have and / giving me any suggestions?

My Questions:
What programming language are most Simba scripts in?
Where could I go to learn about it (Website, YouTube Video, etc…)?
Would you guys suggest a specific IDE?

New and improved - liking the sounds of it already :D

A lot of the older scripts from the 2007 era will be useable again too, so it's not like we are starting out with nothing. Although that would be fun :)

I'm working on scripts on private server's as close to 07 as I can guess to be ready before it's up,

need Ben to add support to SMART tho :/

would reflection work on the 07 servers since the bot nuke wasnt released? If so, wouldnt it be a lot easy to bot 24/7 because of no updates which means ref wouldnt break as often?

@OP Simba is the 'IDE' in which you write scripts using pascal script( similar to pascal)
There are plenty of tutorials in the tut section of the forums, and as for videos, YoHoJo has made a couple on youtube

I don't really support goldfarming, such as green dragon bots that will likely be everywhere, but the problem is, stats take soo long to level, that for most it is impossible/impractical to achieve goals, and also very tedious, like fletching for example, why sit there and waste that much time and get hand cramps when Simba can do it for you so easily,

Botting being so easy in a browser game means that everyones doing it, and if everyones doing it, to compete, you like too aswell ;)

Personally my favorite part about 07 was PvP (PKing to most of you), but I don't have time to sit and click pixel cows for weeks on end to level combat stats so that I can enjoy that, so one will do what one must do ;)

At the end of the day, you are posting in a Cheating community, why do you cheat in any game?, because we're lazy :p

250k votes has a possiblity of more advanced gold farming/botting techniques.
But yes, there won't be any updates at 250k votes so once you make a reflection/injection bot it will work forever. I will definately look into it :) I assume they will obfuscate/clutterfutter the RuneScape jar though but who knows. Can't be harder than it currently is.

yes ROFL I just thought of that and scrolled down saw your post, they literally said the have "archived" versions of all their old releases, per patch.. that means reflection will work completely

I wouldn't doubt they just roll out some version of their old

not to mention all the bugs from back then which can be exploited and all the inf stocks and what not. I dont see how people will pay $15 for playing the old school rs with all the faults

Hmm when did they do away with the old random system. Like NPC's attacking you and Gas while mining?
