Since Friday we have seen over 160,000 votes and growing in support of bringing back Old School RuneScape servers.

Congratulations! The team is already hard at work restoring this service for you and we hope to be able to let you know when they will be up and running ASAP.

However voting appears to be slowing so it’s very much up to you and your friends to determine the ultimate level of investment for this service as well as any potential membership fee.

Members votes decide the ultimate destiny of Old School RuneScape. Remember: everyone who votes will get their first month of old school RuneScape for free, regardless of the poll outcome. So, register your vote and encourage all your friends to do the same!

We will be hosting a forum chat on Wednesday at 8pm GMT. This is will be your opportunity to ask the team anything and everything you could want to know about the plan for the return of OId School Servers.

In preparation for this live discussion, we will be opening up a specific thread tomorrow for you to post questions to the team. This will help us to get the best members of the team to answer your questions.

Probably only for Black Market here, but in general that could be done.

What happens if we get to 250k votes? I still have not voted but I will be getting members soon and I will add my single vote :)

Ahh just read up on it. 250k means small fee with some maintenance. Not bad, but 500k votes would be nicer with no fee :)

God how I would love for old accounts to get unbanned/reset for this :) have a few banned accounts with awesome names.

We really need the 500k votes. I really don't see that many people paying the extra fee long term. A lot will to start with, but it will taper off and when that happens they will start to lose money and we all know what will happen then………

If someone follows through on the ideal of the $2 deal as stated above I'll be happy to kick a few $ that way. I'd rather pay a few bucks on the front end than a lot on the back end.

I thought EoC would have been terrible but I've kinda gotten used to it now

It wouldn't have been huge back in the day when on average there were 200,000 people online.
But now that the average is 1/4th of that, at aound 50,000-60,000, 171,000+ votes IS HUGE.

Thats false, this is a members-only vote. Lot of people unsubscribed or were not members at all.

In my opinion we will get 250k votes surely. 500k…our hopes are on the goldfarmers companies.

The fact that the mods THEMSELVES said that the vote counter is slowing down means that my statment is INFACT true. Just nother way for saying less and less votes.

Oh yeah of course. I know that a huge portion have quit and or stopped paying for membership and such. I think 250k is reachable, but not 500/750k

Some people obviously like it, but more don't, personally I'd pay the 15$ extra as long as jagex don't destroy it like EoC, but it's only my opinion of the EoC, so it's good they are adding these servers as an extra and leaving current game alone,

However, from what I hear/watch on my youtube feed, almost every player that is active has said they will drop the current EoC and focus on the 07 servers :/ so I guess we wait and see how badly divided we all are after they release them,

You have to remember that not all the votes are from people that hate EoC. Some people just voted for the heck of it or because their friend asked them too. Or maybe they just wanted the people complaining about the EoC to stop. Some people got members just to vote too, so it's not an accurate portrayal of "current" members. A lot of the votes aren't even from legit players. I'm sure that goldfarmers have tons of accounts with membership on them.

I wouldnt pay extra. If we could transfer the stats of our current accounts back to those servers Id definitely pay 15, hell id pay 30. But to pay extra AND start all over? Hell to the no.

I fear this is just being set up to fail. Ive invested too much time into my account just to start all over again. No thx. Not to mention they'll probably somehow ruin the servers with some sort of SoF or Solomons store and claim that no its not RWT. If there's enough people for some sort of market gain fo jagex, they will take advantage of it. Don't listen to anything they say they wont ever do, cause almost everything they've said they wouldnt do thus far has happened. (almost)

Im pretty sure you can vote up to 3 times if you change from english to french and then to Portuguese, it only works with those three, it would probably be good to use it to up some votes before they fix it =P

Yup, all stats are level 1 on the new servers with 0 bank.

I've heard different statements from different mods, but I haven't tested this myself: can you multi-log the same account across both server sets?

Oh wow that sucks. Don't think I'll be starting over again. Unless it's solely to bot and see how high I can get.

When does voting stop? Because we need 200k more votes if we want it to be free. I personally won't be playing on it but so many of my friends are hyped for it.
