Was just browsing around the Runescape homepage and I came across a new beta feature of a Beastiary.

On closer look it was pretty cool but required access to local storage on the computer.

Though for those of you who use it - might be pretty cool.

Here's a direct link:

E: as i submitted this thread the new update came out talking about this… weird anyways

I've tried it out looks pretty good only works on chrome at the moment, so if they do implement html5 to the whole game eventually smart will probably have to be updated quite a lot.

It's pretty cool.
You can parse the data, someone on Powerbot made a quick example here: http://www.powerbot.org/community/topic/925907-runescape-bestiary/
You have this URL: http://services.runescape.com/m=itemdb_rs/bestiary/bestiary/beastData.json?beastid=
Place an ID after that and you get a Json string such as {"animations":{"death":836,"attack":422},"size":1,"lifepoints":550,"weakness":"Fire","id":175,"poisonous":false,"attackable":true,"magic":1,"level":22,"defence":11,"description":"He jumps out and attacks people.","name":"Mugger","ranged":1,"areas" "RuneScape Surface","Asgarnia Ice Dungeon"],"attack":11,"aggressive":false,"members":false}

Then you can parse that, he used Regex but there are external library's to parse it properly. His regex does not parse arrays properly yet :P Wondering what this means once RS3 is HTML5/WebGL, they will probably encrypt the values but still, getting the data out of this Bestiary is easy.
