My item was coal ore, bought at 223, sold at 226. Buying took about 10 minutes, selling took about 5 minutes.

Is it generally good to flip items that are going down, up, or neutral?

When I did that one coal had 0 change, and it just went down by 3gp today so I'm thinking of trying a different one this time.

E: Did coal again, 150k profit :D It bought faster but sold slower than the last time, probably because the price was dropping.

That reminds me of a flipping script I wrote. Never bothered to fully test it and make it stable though as EoC made GE way too unstable at the time I was working on this. That makes me wonder, is the GE more stable nowadays? Is it worth flipping?

(Just took a peak at it. It's the first script I ever wrote and it definitely shows the way I wrote some functions. Very interesting to look at old (relatively) works.)

I was making up to 5m profit on certain high level weapons a few weeks ago. Takes a couple hours to buy them but they sell instantly for +3-6m almost instantly. Made roughly ~30m in a couple days just flipping them.

Bandos stuff is also good to flip. Can usually make 100k-300k profit per item. The trade limit on items is what sucks now, otherwise I could make mega gp.

It's hard to find F2P items to flip, only one I've had success with recently is coal. I might try god armour, is that good?

I think to make money while flipping you need to have many accounts to flip with so once you find an item then the limit is just a hassle.

Depends if you're gonna bulk merch or not.
Try more chars if you're doing this.

If you're just flipping, choosing popular items normally doesn't matter if it's rising or dropping in GE. since you're selling it on the spot.

I've also found they also need to be a few hundred gp at least or else the price doesn't fluctuate enough.

Maximum 1-2gp profit with runes I think. So u gotta buy more than 25k for some decent good profit.
Just do it more often, and you'll see what's good and not so good.

They made it so there's a four hour limit for buying, and the limit is different for different types of items. Coal is 25,000, so you can buy 25,000 then you need to wait four hours before being able to buy more. There's a list of the limits here: http://runescape.wikia.com/wiki/Grand_Exchange/Buying_limits

With 25,000 though It still allows you to make 25k profit for each gp of difference you can find.

I usally do that^
but I buy at ge price and just wait for it to spike (which happens after a couple of days)

This is one of my P2P items that I can flip about 4-5 times/day with the GE limit.
