Thanks for the heads up, I just cast my vote. It was just over 11,000 when I sent my vote, 2 refreshes later it's over 12,000.

Not to be cynical, but that vote was F2P too. And because free trade was at stake, many of those votes were probably cast by goldfarming companies because they saw how profitable it would be.

There are 1.8M member accounts (hiscores). Like 800k of them are trial accounts (under 100 total level).
There are so many gold farmer bots. If they vote all… and why would they not vote? This update would bring more people to Runescape, that's more customers for them, gold sellers.
And not many people resubbed yet just to vote. Hiscores had like the same amount of players some days ago.
Hope we can make at least 500k. :)

Weird how they claimed there were over 8 million active subscribers just a few days ago, yet only 1.8million people made it to level 15 in any skill… Hmm…

They only claimed to have that many users playing the game within the last 14 days.

Realistically, the actually figure for trial accounts is closer to 1.2m, when you look at the highscores. Which means that there really are only about 500k-600k subscribing members. When you take into account that some of these accounts may abstain from voting, we're looking at definitely having to pay to access this new Runescape. However, if older players then decide to subscribe for the sake of this poll, then Jagex are making extra revenue from these older players. So, either way, Jagex are going to be getting a boost in profit. I can assure you that Jagex made these figures intentionally so they would not fail to make a profit. Don't be lured into thinking this is them becoming community orientated. It's just they've found a way to boost PR, and make a profit.

Im pretty sure 2k7 rs will die in few months because ppl who wants it back just wants to pk but they don't realize it will take years to make working economy from scratch and u need to do everthing diy at start and it will take long time to get stats and quests done cos u can't buy supplies or anything and there is no many of ppl nowdays who have patience to do it.
Botting will "help" economy at start but later it will ruin it, gamblers and ppl who trades eoc gold to 2k7 gold will destroy the economy too.
2k7 rs worked in 2k7 but in 2k13 it will not work.

Just my opinion and i know many ppl disagrees me but im pretty sure im right.

hey guys, if you don't want to play on a 2007, still vote yes, you dont have to use them, you dont have to pay anything extra unless you want to use the 2007 servers, so do a brother a favour, vote yes!

Current rs is not dead yet but it will die soon if jagex does nothing about gamblers and gold farmers.
