Does anyone have any of these old bots lying around? I haven't been a member of Villavu for very long but I've been playing since 2005ish. I assume Simba was around back then? Please and thank you :D

Have no fear, when they release the servers we will get scripting for them ;)

The community has worked so hard to get Jagex to realise what we want and then people are going to flood it with botting and make it like the current RS..? No thanks

There will always be injection bots, so we have no real power over that, it's not about the bots it's about the gameplay, I agree to an extent, but boring repetative tasks are still boring ;)
07 had bots aswell, Jagex ruined the current game, not bots, my most fun experiences playing RS were mainly all in the middle of the green dragon bot boom

Hm, I wonder if Reflection would work in the 2007 servers.

According to Jagex they say they'll implant the current anti-bot software if it gets to a certain point. Should that happen I imagine it'll be the same situation as the current Runescape; client updated every X amount of hours with new hooks and such. Personally I'd like to see that happen; I'd like no one have the ability to use reflection rather than everyone.

The truth is that there are reflection bots around still. It's because they're either 1) not redistributing or 2) willing to take the risks of bypassing AES. The obfuscation really isn't that big of a deal since the control flow ultimately stays the same. Same situation with different clients. AES is what ultimately killed nexus last year and if implemented again, will ultimately keep the majority of client hackers away (if not all of the best ones in the US).
There was an updater built through the use of control flow about 1-2 months ago that was able to largely survive the effects of the bot nukes from 2011-2012 with the obvious modifications to account for arrays and such. It was actually used on an early version of RuneTek 6 that came out with Transformers Universe to find parallels between the game engines.
There are already efforts underway to recover the files from 2007 times, but there are also many who wish to keep it bot-free.
