As 2007Scape will be coming soon… Maybe make branches under the script categories?

Already thinking of scripting on private servers in advance ;)

I'd like to see a sub-forum of Runescape Scripts called 2007 Runescape Scripts, and in 2007 Runescape Scripts it would have the same layout as in Runescape Scripts.

Probably the better idea considering that the most recent thread most likely wouldn't be tagged [EOC] [2007]

Is this request out of a new feature or game option from official RS? Or is it requesting for a private server?

(If it's official RS based feature/game play I'm for it, else, I have a different opinion for private server)

Ah, thanks for the reply. I didn't know of this, and in addition, I do support the pre-EOC [official RS server based] thread section.

Yea, a section like that would be good! Might get back to working on some scripts!
I don't think it would be hard, since Simba is color, and the colors should be pretty close to the normal rs
Plus we could always try it on a private server lol

I'll have to modify my 2006 flax picker to have better anti ban and random event support then!

Good idea, I know a lot of us (myself included) will be behind the 07 servers, and making scripts for them, in fact I despise the current gamestate so much, I'm unlikely to remain active on EoC if the old servers return ;) (which is pretty much guarenteed now)

Tad off-topic, but what about SRL, will it branch off into two parts or will it remain EoC only?

It likely will remain as it is; however, people are welcome to dig up SRL-3 or 4 from 2007 and update it to their needs. I'm sure the code is still hosted somewhere. I know Wizzup? almost never deletes old stuff.

Good to hear, Will be interesting to see how close it will be to actual 07, because I'm sure it will have some very slight differences, maybe the fonts, login screen, UI parts and etc will be different from original 07, but you never know ;) we'll just have to wait and see,

Sucks if we have to be unofficial though and not naitive to SRL

I'd just be happy with the font sets from 2007 and a working SMART client for it as well. The include itself will be fairly simple to create now.

I've found SRL 3.00 (2006) & SRL4 (August 2008 after graphical update) version we'd want is 3.7 I believe.

That's awesome! I think the 2006 one should be close enough to work with? :)

Got the 2007 Fonts courtesy of the Scar 3.14 Installer.

I don't see why it couldn't be in the official SRL git group, but it would likely be a separate repository from the current SRL.

Anyone good enough in Java to get smart to load it? I tried for a PS and got close but the PS has no web applet jar so I gave up

Are you not able to get the older (~2007) SMART to load with the current game?

SMART 3.0-4.0 was around the 2007 time period, but the SMART's source wasn't released until V.5. If anyone's interested, here's SMART v4.1 released at the end of 2008; the oldest released I could find:

not without changing how smart grabs the jar atleast, and I have no idea how to get it to load a local jar file, Ben's too smart for me,

don't really want to backtrack, would prefer to modify 8.1 so we have the latest stuffs, now it's open source, I'm sure someone will be able to do it, if Ben's too busy to help us out

I was reading "PS" as PascalScript as opposed to private server… :duh: No wonder it didn't make any sense.
Yeah, I'll see what I can do.
