It is so aggravating trying to play castlewars while half of your team is an afk bot.

Unfortunately with the stupid amount of games to be "played" for trimmed, it's probably gonna stay like that :(

This isn't really new, its been like this since the trimmed comp cape requirement came out, and then it got worse since the summer of 2012 because 2-3 afk castle wars scripts were released.

Im sure they are cracking down on those players who are botting afk castle wars, and expecting another ban in a few weeks.

As far as I know, it's legitimate for the current game (or at least was, not sure if the games been updated lately) of castle wars to idle as shown in the picture above.

However it's not legitimate to bot (obv), but really unless you dig into the players afking or monitor for suspicious activity, who can tell? :s

Also, speaking of, I swear I saw somebody post something about a player voting rs thread to change the game or something? (because it's probably hard to play with no specials, and a huge combat rework)

Yeah I'm sure it is bad, between the requirements for the trimmed comp. cape and the EoC that ruined this place, I'll bet there's afk bots here.

How do you keep track of your castle wars games complete?
Also, do you have to win the game, or is it only being in the game itself?

I imagine just checking your highscores would be the simplest. You don't have to win a game for it to count towards your total 'games played', just be in it for atleast, I think, 11(?)+ minutes. Winning only benefits with tickets and a chance to win hybrid armor.

Ahh I see. I do need the tickets to get the best c-wars armor to put in my house, so I guess i'll have to start playing. :( And hybrid armor? Wth is that?

No way! I had no idea that was the case. I thought you needed to WIN a game for it to count. Wow I guess this is why afking is possible.

It has been suggested in HLF that there be requirements set on the Castle Wars games played. When I start going for Trimmed comp Imma be gaining crazy mage xp by raping all the afk bots!

I remember getting my first set of ahrims back in the day, just finished the quest for desert treasure and was using the lvl 76 ice barrage thingy.. Cant remember what it was called. So much fun… Used to wear different god armors so you could be transformed into whatever animal in the waiting lobby.

Yeah those were fun. I was such a noob. I thought d bax and d med with rune was the coolest gear around.

And freaking out when I would hit a 17 on something!

I kinda miss those days.. back when minigames were fun and runescape was a big and mysterious place. Now teleports take you anywhere and I don't even remember the last time I actually walked anywhere.

I think the castle wars requirment for trim cape is ridiculous. Hardest thing to get out of everything IMO.

Yeah if not more. Only a few hundred people have 5000 games + played and probably 1/10th of that have trimmed cape. Would take 86Days 24/7 played to get 5000 games.
