An ash picker with a few locations incl G.E that can run for over 6hrs by reloading?

Can anyone please do this?

Why don't you try and make this yourself? Take a look in the Tutorial Island section for help on scripting.

Coh3n beginner tutorial!! Make sure you understand this tutorial.

I've tried watching it and stuff, might try again, how long would this script take to make for someone who knows what they're doing?

5-10 minutes. You'll get the hang of scripting if you keep trying. :)

Some faster as others I guess, It took me few days to know the very basics.
I've seen all Yohojo's video's and read Coh3n couple of times till I got the hang of it.

But u'll learn on the process when you're making scripts :)

Don't rush it, don't get frustrated. If u do then step away from your computer and try again.
It's a lot of information/strange subjects in the beginning

It would take varying time, me maybe an hour :p but people all learn at different paces! Trying something simple, like a woodcutting script, then slowly progress! Read all the tuts and feel to pm with any questions!(:

Do people even do normal firemaking still tho? I hardly ever see it, i only ever see bonfires

if u follow every step, you should get it to work, make sure u don't miss one.

SMARTManager is outdated

Just an off hand thought reading though some script request. Why even have a script request section if every time someone request a script yall tell then to build it them selves.
Not everybody's a programmer. You don't have to be a scripter to be a valuable member to srl. You can be a tester for example. I'm a scripter, I'm just saying I can understand not everybody is gonna be able to learn how to script. People got different talents. For example, I will never learn how to ride a skateboard and not for lack of trying. By posting in the thread of a request you just make it harder for people like me trying to find a script request I wish to tackle.

Honestly, if people just made every script I requested (was quite a few) then I wouldn't of bothered learning to script. It's because I wanted scripts people wouldn't make that I bothered to learn in the first place. Gotta a point there. I can honestly tell you I'm not interested in making a ash picker upper, lol. But I'm also saying some people CAN'T learn how to script no matter how bad they want too. Weeding out those ppl from the leachers is the catch though.

Why CAN'T they? What's stopping them? most people try and are like "I've tried but I can't script" just need to work harder and power through imo.

Honestly, when I first came here that's what I thought too. I thought scripting was just something that other people did. I had never even tried. But here's the interesting thing: When I did try, my script sucked. The standards were bad, it had no failsafes, multiple infinite loops, and it was slow and botty. The longest it ran was four minutes. But it was a script, and I'd done what I didn't think I could do. After watching some more of YoHoJo's video tutorials, I improved it and it could run longer. Scripting isn't about sitting down and producing a beast of a script on your first try, it's about starting, then learning more and improving, then learning more and improving, and so on. Give it a try, it isn't as hard as you think, and if you need help there are many people here who will gladly help :)
