I remember when I would see this bots everywhere on f2p worlds a few years back
It was a trivia bot, programmed to play a trivia/guessing/matching/riddle/unscramble with the people around it

Yep!
Jagex actually had no problem with this.. and welcomed it..
And then they decided to upgrade their game engine, and bring wilderness back, these bots were never seen/used since then

Aww, that's depressing. Bots like these would be a hit in areas where large groups of people are skilling together (fishing/cooking spots, etc.) and would put casual botting" in a slightly better light. Verrrry slightly, but still!
I remember people who had a throwaway account, ran that script on it, and then multilogged with their main/another throwaway
The script would show the user the answer on screen, but the players around it would have to guess.
So what that person did was cheat and ruin the fun for others who were actually trying to play the trivia, but it was funny to see their reactions :P

I used to run one of those at house parties. Lots of people seemed to enjoy it.

Wonder if anyone used this for gambling, like all the people playing bet before the game, and then gives all the money the people paid to the winner with like a 5%-15% comission or something.
