Just out of curiosity I checked on one of my old perm banned accounts that got banned about a year ago and this is what I got…

That's :
101941hrs / 24 = 4247.54 days / 365 = 11.64 years. :surprised:

11 years, REALLY!?!?

Nah, it's like in 1985 in back to the future they thought we would have flying cars. I would say we're more likely to have cars that park themselves than ones in the air.

I meant to say drive… oppsy, and yeah theres been cars that park themselves that have gone production but aren't quite there. Cars that drive themselves sort of exist but aren't at production stage.

Not true.

The U.S. state of Nevada passed a law on June 29, 2011 permitting the operation of driverless cars in Nevada. Google had been lobbying for driverless car laws.[4][5][6] The Nevada law went into effect on March 1, 2012, and the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles issued the first license for a self-driven car in May 2012. The license was issued to a Toyota Prius modified with Google's experimental driverless technology.[

We already have the technology to build cars that drive them selves.

opps sry Hobbit just saw the bottom part of your post.

Oh and it's crazy how this went from rs banned accounts to driverless cars. lol

Oh, and the DARPA Grand Challenge has been going on since 2004. Look up some videos about that. I remember watching one and like 10 cars entered a parking lot all at once. They all navigated and parked safely. But it was crazy to watch! I'll see if I can't find it and will post a link.

O wow. Thanks for the share hobbit :P, where would one get a driveless car though? :P (I'd imagine the major car companies would do them in that country?)

A decade ago I didn't think I would still be playing Runescape. But here I am. And the game has evolved far!

google has had them for like 10 years or so, they do this driver test and watch how the cars perform.. I remember seeing a news thing years ago where one of the cars got in an accident.. after like 500,000 miles total (with all the cars) just one accident.. and it was because someone else hit the car. lol.

You gotta remember that Google's probably got an immense amount of resources invested into that single car. If everyone buys their own little auto driving car, I'm pretty sure accidents will increase.

yes, but a steering motor isn't really much, the biggest part is the software.. which, like microsoft for example.. invests millions of man hours into their OS over the course of 20 years or so, and sells it for very cheap

I remember starting a thread about all the ridiculous things involving google not long ago… But as far as flying cars goes, we do have those. But according the Air-control laws in most countries you have to take off from and land at designated airports. AND many of them ended up having to fulfill so many Air-control laws, that ground-laws were ignored until almost production. Between those two things the marketing of them was kind of destroyed - not to mention their ridiculous prices after fulfilling all those requirements.
