I'm looking for someone to see if they would take up this simple(I believe) project. Farming runs script. Have it do-

Location of Patch: Teleportation Method - Order within itself/Order overall

-Wood Trees:
-Tavelrey: Lodestone - A/1
-Falador: Lodestone - B/4
-Lumbridge: Lodestone - C/3
-Gnome Stronghold: Spirit Tree - D/9
-Varrock Castle: Lodestone/Spirit Tree - E/11

-Fruit Trees:
-Juju: Juju Spiritbag - A-F/2
-Gnome Village: Spirit Tree - C/10
-Gnome Stronghold: Spirit Tree - D/8
-Lleyeta: Tiny Elf Crystal - A-F/5
-Brimhaven: Spirit Tree/Travel Cart(Shilo Village)/Glory amulet - E/7
-Catherby: Lodestone - B/6

Should be able to:
-Withdraw payment for tree care along with each tree.
-Could lodestone to burthrope/tavelrey/edge.

For those so BOLD, could add in customization of what tab for the script to grab the trees from. Also using Spot 1, 2, 3 in a tab to allow the user to have their bank on any tab and let the bot move to tab X and taking 5 trees from Spot 1, withdraw All but 1 noted Payment on Spot 2, etc..

Good luck to whoever can get this done! :)

I'm making a herb-farmer right now and it's probably more difficult than you'd imagine.

well the way i saw it was withdraw 5 trees from spot 1,1 withdraw payment from 2,1.
for herb farmer, are you adding in juju pots?

I'm talking about actually making the script. Obviously the method is simple, teleport to a patch, take existing crops / rake if weeds are present, fertilize the patch, plant the seed, and so on. But there's actually many details between each of these steps, all of which must be perfectly handled by the script and all possible scenarios must be checked for and handled. Actually writing code to handle each and every detail, of every step, of every location, of every method, is no easy task.

^^ This

Its one thing to do it so it runs, another to do it so it will run forever without you ever having to touch simba, details are everything ;)

And adding user customization is a pain, because only programmers will really understand how to use it without ridiculous explanation,

Clicking patches and interface stuff is easy, walking in color is like trying to cross a 8 lane motorway while completely blind, it's hard to get it flawless, and it takes the most time for something like this,

How are you tackling it flight? I would of probably made SPS maps because I'm newb and sps is so good

For the walking, yes I am using SPS.

I've always kind of wanted to work on one of these but always just deterred from it due to the amount of coding and of course testing would most likely take quite a bit of time

By customization i don't mean letting the user select a bunch ov variables, but have them be able to select Tab: 0(tab that allows you to see all tabs), tab 1, tab 2, etc.. that would help people by letting them start the bot wherever, and then allowing the script to teleport by lodestone to any chest bank, go to the pre-defined tab, withdrawing items, and beginning the run

Well I've made quite a bit of progress on my Herb-Farming script. There's still a big to-do list before it's ready for a private release in the upper boards (probably Members+ section).

Right now the script will handle all 4 of the standard herb patches (this excludes the Trollheim patch) as well as all types of herbs, excluding Goutweed. Because I molded the script based on my personal style of herb-farming, it relies 100% on the Lunar spell book along with every farm-related spell unlocked via the Livid Farm. Teleporting to South Falador, North Ardougne and Catherby is via Lunar spells, and the Port (whatever) place via the Ectophial.

The script will handle patches completely in any stage of growth. Patches with weeds are raked & dropped, death patches are cleared, diseased patches are cured (via Remote Farm only) and grown patches are picked. Then the empty patches are fertilized with super compost from the Fertilize Soil spell and seeds are planted. This is the same routine for every single herb. First the Remote Farm spell is cast to make sure all 4 patches are ready to be handled (grown/dead/weeds), if not the script will log out for short amount of time (I believe between 8 and 17 more minutes), log back in check their status once again. If a plant is diseased then it will be cured through Remote Farm. Pretty cool eh?

Herbs are banked between each location so there's no risk of a full inventory causing problems. But that's enough details for now, the list goes on.

I've been raking in the herbs lately. Thousands of Felstalks, Avantoes and soon lantadymes.

Edit:
Oh yes, this also activates any auras you're currently wearing.

Wow impressive Flight! Does it logout after each run and wait 1h 20min?

Yes, in that version and the versions before it, it worked off user input on how long to wait between runs and how much time randomness to add to each run. After having read an article on accurately timing farm runs I've learned about cycles.

There's 4 cycles between planting a herb seed and having it fully grown. Each cycle is 20 minutes long and is based on the minutes in the hour. For example, 4:00-4:20 would be a cycle, 4:21-4:40 would be another, and 4:41-5:00 would be the 3rd cycle in an hour. So for a herb patch to grow completely it'll wait based on cycles rather than a set amount of minutes, maximum of 80 minutes. If you plant a seed at 4:38 then at 4:40 it would have gone through 1 cycle and only 3 would remain (60 minutes + the initial 2).

Having found out this knowledge I've incorporated it into my script to base the "idle time" based on cycles, first determining how far the current time is based to the next cycle, then adding the next 3 cycles (60 minutes) to the idle time.

This is all in Rev# 4. Also, plant-curing is done via Remote Farm as well as during herb runs, should the situation arise.

It's a bloody smart script mate. ;)

It sounds like you've got it sussed. I didn't even know about the whole cycle thing.

Yeah same here mate, I just learned about it a couple days ago. You can read about it here:
