In my opinion, I think people are being very harsh and discouraging to new people that apply not posting a script. People are making a huge deal about it like This is really making me mad! Well its not going to stop, so in my opinion, you should go stfu if you can't read bad apps and not go to the appliance section ever again. You don't have to post in every app, so if you look at an app and theres no script.. just click the back button or the red x button….. only takes 5 seconds of your time right?

I think there should be no flaming to people who at least didn't copy a script and do anything that serious.. People double post right? We don't flame the hell out of them right? I think people should just chill.. Because its not that big of a deal.

And even if you do flame them, it may stop them from making a stupid no script app again, but in anyway will it stop anybody else?? no it wouln't..

I've even seen people flame apps of people at least trying to script, and being very harsh/discouraging. I just think its wrong..

But what does it matter what I think ;) You have the power :p vote please and post an explanation on why/how you voted.

I voted no. I think that if they posted a blank app, they deserve to get flamed. They were supposed to read the sticky… But if somebody at least tried on a script (50 or 100 lines+) then they shouldn't get flamed at all.

I see where your coming from, and in some ways I agree with you. I guess they could get flamed for not reading the stickys.. But I almost find it funny how people are all like This is pissing me off! Because its not that big of a deal is it? If something that small is going to bug you, then your whole life is going to be hell because you can't let anything go.

I just find it funny how a lot of new people though, (not saying I have been here a while, although I would have if SRL put there site on google :p) say "not trying to be an A hole, but this is really pissing me off!"… I'm like come on, you've probably only looked at 10-15 apps of the hundreds SRL has gotten.

Yes, I have noticed that replies to the apps get very flamy. Members should reply to the apps as business-like instead of taking things personally. You never know, the person could become a great help some day, and you will have made a powerful enemy.

Very well put, and I have to agree. Of course we let them know its wrong to have a blank app, but cussing/yelling at them doesn't really do anything to help does it? It doesn't prevent them from doing it again, or stop anybody else to do it. So we should just tell them that they need to learn to script politely like some people do, and leave it at that.

No need for 10 people to post on a blank app all flaming either whining about how its wasting there time. Well, your wasting your own time flaming on an app which doesn't need flaming..

I only read the appliances when I need a laugh, seriously, some of them are very pathetic..because I was granted SRL Membership under different circumstances however, I have very cautious at voting , because I am Thankful to be here, but I still do not consider myself qualified or want to bear the burden of deciding ones fate or destiny. In actuality, although I have responded on quite a few applications I have only voted on a couple of occasions..and those 2 were definable NO s when I found them trying to buy or sell other SRL member's Scripts on other sites. I do notice a trend though, that immediately after someone is granted SRL membership, they immediately feel obligated to vote on other people's applications. While there is a thread at the very top of the applications page, that states reasons why this is discouraged, it still happens, yet I rarely see new members flamed for this, even while themselves flaming new people for bad applications, or even perhaps making bad judgments against new applicants.

When I started getting into cheating and using SCAR/SRL, 1 of the main reasons that drew me to this site, was the comradeship and the willingness of the developers to take the time to teach people. This can be traced to the very top, Starting with Fakawi and moving down the Line. As I learned, It made me feel good to be able to in turn, pass my knowledge to the next generation of new people coming in…This gave my own self a sense of pride being able to repay the community, as well as relieve the people higher up the ladder with the burden of having to answer the same questions repetitiously .Mind you, as this community has grown so much just over the last couple of months alone, We have all witnessed an influx of new people here. With this comes much variety, Including many talented people, but also, more scammers and out right leechers. I as one, have found it increasingly difficult, to answer the same questions over and over again on the same scripts on a daily basis…. I got to a point, I wanted to cuss at every person that dared ask "I'm getting the error that SRL is not found in the script, What do I do"… while this is the most common question that is heard here and it has been answered in depth daily 10 times over…I reminded myself…that I came here without any knowledge of SCAR/SRL…I asked that very same question…and instead of getting called a noob and sent away with my tail between my legs…Someone took the time to explain it to me, and after this, I was able to become a productive member of this community….However, I still contend with that frustration of people asking these questions, even after it is answered in the same thread, maybe even only a few posts back…The only answer I was able to come up with to save my sanity is….W.W.F.D….What Would Fakawi Do ?…Perhaps the most patient man in the world… I just bite my tounge and give theses new people a gentle reminder, that perhaps they need to do a bit more reading before they post these types of questions…and In particular, before I call them a noob outright…I Let Boreas do it with his Nooby tutorial by sending them there…Rather than having to vent on every new person for asking a dumb question, it is spelled out for them there….After I have sent someone to his tutorials, and they still ask the same stupid questions, then I feel they have the right to have the Ever Living Shit Flamed Out of Them ! I think at 1 point or another, Every one of us reaches our threshold and Snaps at someone for No valid reason or another, but I think if we remind ourselves of how we would like to be treated, before we react to someone else, then we will avoid unnecessary comments, but I do feel we can't all be positive all the time…. and some people just deserve to be slapped in the face…Just prepare yourself, that you might get slapped back someday….. But still, they should read the stickies and read the thingy I wrote in General Public Board… It flames a bit but it has useful links.

I only really vote if they're absolutely stupid applications like with no script or if they've copied them. Yes I do think they should be flamed because I mean how thick do u have to be to think that u can just get in by saying "I'm a good person!" I don't take it personally at all and I don't find it a waste of my time. I find it funny and think it's great fun to see how idiotic some people are….but hey that's my opinion

EDIT: ok….I've just read thru 6 apps I think 5 said let me in cos I'm cool and 1 was copybusted. That person also re applied later on with another copied script…..

I mean, if they re apply again then flame them.. But a lot of people don't know about the stickies. What are they going to do, I'm going to go check the whole forum for a tutorial on what it takes to become a SRL member.. They wouldn't do that, and they have no way of knowing its in tutorial island section.

I would like to ask another question, what is there to gain from flaming? I mean, 99% of the blank app people don't apply again, and never even post again right? So, flaming just makes us look like jerks, and for the people that do look back at it will think that we are jerks and that will discourage them from even trying to script..

I just see no point to flaming at all unless they do 2 apps or something like that..

If I had applied with a blank app and got flamed, I would have leaved this forum myself. I almost did and then a friend told me it would get declined.. So yeah.

Well firstly it's fun :) secondly I do the opposite to discouraging them. I flame them than say learn to script, leach or GTFO :)…..see I encouraged them to learn to script :D

Not everybody gets one :p you may get one once you help some more people. Its not up to me to decide sorry lol :p

I think the empty apps with <10 posts are people that don't even realize what they are doing, and think it's the same as registering or something. They should not be flamed, even though they didn't have the sense to read around fist before doing anything (lurking). These could be avoided if making an app was disabled for <10 posts….
