So, I'm getting hit with a botnet. IDK why, IDK by who.

Is there anyway I can stop it? It seems I blocked it for now, but I'd rather this not happen again.
(Apparantly, 426 IP's attempted to flood one TCP port of mine)

What do?

yea, and in a lot of cases your ISP will contact you about it too

If you have a static IP, you need to ring your ISP and explain the situation, and ask them to assign you a new IP from the block

I guess I was getting DDoS'd for hosting a game. (They really don't like me)

The other host was DDoS'd also, and his VPS supplier sent him this:

"Hello Isaac,

Your server is under a 500mbit/s DDOS attack at the moment. We have null routed your IP for 24 hours in order to protect our network.

Pretty sure we're being hit by the same people, all though it seems to have stopped for me at least.
